Have you actually watched his games...he is terrible...constantly getting beaten up...he can not tackle. I wish i could find the game on youtube where he comes around to tackle the running back in the backfield and almost dies...he goes flying through the air like a helicopter then comes crashing down...gets up like a confused little kid. He will get seriously hurt in this league he should not be playing in the NFL no way.

If you look at the 1:00 minute mark you will see him get crushed...Then a little bit later he can't jump high enough to deflect a streeter TD. He just looks terrible. Morris Claiborne is the top of the crop this year. Dre sucks he has no balance...I agree 4 to 7 round for chase.

Flying like a helicopter and then crashes? That sounds pretty entertaining to me. Let's take him at 4.

Drafting a guy because Pops played for the Browns is a bad idea.

I don't think the kid is that good.

As a UVA fan, I've seen him play numerous games. He's a solid player. Maybe a year or two into the league and he will be a quality starter.

I don't know what your talking about. I saw a small guy put press man to man coverage on a guy who runs a 4.36 40. You mean he didn't knock down the jump ball thrown to a 6'4 WR that also has a 39 vert. NO WAY! The guy is short but Haden isn't a giant either.

Oh and on that Helicopter play he dove for the tackle and got smashed by his own LB who completely wiffed on his own tackle, so if I get anything from that play it's 9 sucks for not getting the tackle in the backfield and don't draft #52 LB cause he could hit the broad side of a barn.

Really the only negative things I saw were a few times he would have to dive tackle someone to barely get them out of bounce, but I expect that from a guy who is small, I want a cover corner not a run stopper. And the last play they should he over shoots the tackle, but he also got clipped hard on the play too so how much of it was really his fault.

Yea, pretty much everything on that video was a positive play....so I too don't know what you are talking about. Of course, that is a highlight reel. They aren't probably showing him getting burned.

The bottom line is, the Browns need a CB. If they don't go for Claiborne at #4, they may wait until round 3-4....and if Minniefield, who has been touted as possible first round talent once upon a time is that in the 3rd-4th round, he may be worth looking at.

Agree... video was mostly positive, but all the positives were built upon quickness.

But it's his size... He's small and plays small.

Daddy was small but played big.

So get him in the 3rd or the 4th. Just looking at some of the guys projected ahead and behind him, he is the best us or any team is going to get at that point in the draft at CB.

Him and Haden would be a very exciting CB tandem.

I have an inkling that Minnifield will be a mid to late 3rd Rounder... What do you guys think about taking Minnifield in the Third? I approve.

Haden, Brown, Patterson, Skrine and Minnifield... solid group there. There is no way Minnifield could be any worse than McDonald was, maybe more of an Eric Wright type CB.

3rd is too early for Chase, IMO.

After the 3 or 4, 1st/2nd round-worthy CB's in this draft the fall off is pretty sharp. I see the next "wave" starting late 4th or early 5th.

EDIT: On the other hand Aaron Craft might make a helluva DB...

                        Go Buckeyes...

i've got to chime in here.

First, let me say that i've never seen Chase play and so i have no idea whether we should draft him (or whether anyone should draft him). But his papa was something special. i've said it many times here before- Frank was the best CB that i've ever seen play- period. He covered like glue. Also, he was the best tackler on the team. He never missed a tackle. He was a student of the game and seemed to enjoy teaching younger players during the game (without calling them out or embarassing them). i always thought he would end up being a coach. He was a total class act.

i hope Chase has a good career with somebody. i want to cheer for the guy, so i hope he ends up outside of our division.

I was fully in Clay Jr.'s camp. IMO we eff'd up big-time passing on one of the finest examples of HGH use in recent memory for our 3-4. However, we corrected that mistake by going to the 4-3... 🙄

Casey? Not so much. Closer to Chase than Jr....

And WhoTF wants a DB named "Chase"? Terrible choice... 😎

The CB class is very deep this year, easy to get lost in the shuffle.

CB's Deep? A mere three to four players deep by most accounts...

It is actually deep, just because everyone one of them isn't considered a 1st and 2nd round pick doesn't mean they are not good. Honestly I don't see a huge drop off until after Minnefield.

Take a look at this list: http://www.football.draft-hub.com/players?position=CB

Guys like Hayward, Hosley, T. Johnson, Steed, Bentley, J. Robinson and a few others all have great potential in the 2nd-5th range. Deep class.

Yeah, I'm so glad we didn't take Clay Matthews or Casey Matthews.

                                          Apples and oranges... and apples...
