Richardson Won't Go Down

The Browns Board

  • Weeden is not the problem, but if we have a full house cleaning then I think they will go with a QB. We honestly have many problems, but its hard to believe with the 10 top 5 picks we have had. Paul brown put a curse on this team and it seems like if it ain't one thing its another.

It's the curse of Phil Dawson, once we get rid of him sky is the limit.

  • I cannot imagine that we would take a QB first overall. Weeden is far from the biggest problem on this team.

    The biggest problem is Schurmer.

But have to say with Shurmur gone, i think the team would be a lot better off all round.

  • Was anyone else shitting bricks every time Giants tacklers would hang onto Trent's legs and he refused to go down?

I like his style but damn, he's gonna get himself injured like that eventually.

Understand your concern, but he really did not take any additional punishment that I saw... matter of fact I don't recall a single, really solid hit on him in the game... be it initial or otherwise.

Colt was far from the biggest problem on the team last season

But with a new owner, new coach, new front office..picking a QB #1 overall seems pretty likely

Yea dudes 7 of 7. He made three field goals of 50+ yards against the Ravens. He is the 7th kicker in NFL history with such a game. He sucks.

  • Trent Richardson looks great. Stay healthy, young man.

FWIW, I always felt Bo Jackson was extremely overrated, based on a tremendous run on MNF and his ability to play multiple sports. Unfortunately, we will never know how good he was due to his career ending injury.

Despite all his mouthyness, etc. I always believed Jackson was - at best - a poor man's Dion Sanders. The guy is HOF NLF and played a pretty good game of MLB.

Any way, I am encouraged by the play and potential of the Offense. Seems to me, the Defense has been an achilles heal this year - right Ed?

Is it injuries along the DL, the lack of depth at CB due to the ingroance of Joe Haden, a combination of both?

I hate to sound like a fan but - given the apparent potential of the offense and the likely to add a Defensive Stud or two in the upcoming draft, things might be looking up. They will draft extremely high. Maybe #1?????????????????????

  • Weeden didn't give up 40+ points. I'd say he's probably not the weakest link.

I've been screaming for a LB forever. All we ever do is draft LBs in round 4 or later.

When does Clay Jr. hit the FA market?

  • like the time the LB was on the ground and was trying to tackle him from his jock and set him up for one of the DEs to come in and bust the fuck out of him?

    yeah. i saw that too.

maybe after today he and RGlll will learn how to go down when necessary.

You have clearly never played the sport.

You can't tell a guy to go down when he's playing a game. It's ingrained in players at a young age to fight for every inch. To never give up.

While it may make sense in terms of injuries, a players will never just "go down" and live to die another day. And if he does, that's not a player you want on your team.

I dont think it would be fair to put the blame on Weedon if we end up picking 1st. The bottom line is, if your defense gives up 41 points your not winning very many ballgames. Peyton, Brady Rodgers or whoever else you wanna throw in there wouldnt win with a defense that plays like ours did today.

San Fran would have won and Chicago would have tied.

6.25% of the teams in the NFL would have won/tied this week if their defense gave up 41 points.

If you blame this on Weeden, you are stupid. If you blame this on anyone other than injuries/coaching...you are stupid.

  • Weeden has what it takes to be an NFL qb. No way we pick another qb in the first round. Weeden has all the measurables but just needs experience. He's the least of our problems.

Yep, coaching, injuries, a suspension and a bunch of backups starting

  • Five games in and we've already conceded that the Browns will have the #1 pick?

No, but we're the leader in the Clubhouse at this point. Let Shurmur coach out the year, and I really believe 0-16 is looking more and more likely.

    Bullshit...

I take back my comment in the other thread...

    You are not just biased...

You are clearly brain damaged from fighting for one too many extra yards...
