Also, a big fucking lol at people blaming it on desensitization. I heard Fox News and MSNBC already blamed video games.

Are you kidding me, vapor? You are so naive. So naive. You don't think growing up watching the hills have eyes and playing halo desensitizes you to the realitys of death? I think ill possibly believe Ted Bundy's last thoughts on it over know it all 20 year old college kid, vaportrail.

  • It's always children. Because these are cowards. Where are all the responsible gun owners and why are they not protecting the children.

Responsible, law-abiding gun owners are not permitted to have guns at a school. Thus, this.

    Gun control - fuck yeah!

I'm not pushing gun control now. Now I believe every school should have at least one ccw employee at all times. It's too common to worry about gun control now. You want your guns and your second amendment. Time to put up or shut up. Protect the fucking six year old kids in the schools or don't fucking bitch to me about your second amendment rights.

  • My boys are never going to public school. This is a fucking travesty.

My kids never went to public schools, but that wouldn't have stopped this.

    I'd be glad to.

  • so there are crazy people in the world killing children and you want to take away my weapon and essentially my only way of defending myself? GENIUS

of course, i was just surfing twitter and had to vent so i popped over here, the trending topics on twitter right now are all "gun control", #nra

kinda scary, they use these situations as an opportunity to attack our constitutional rights, of course its a tragedy but gun control just is not the answer, i wasn't addressing this message board so much as i was venting

Are you stupid? You really think blaming violence on television and video games is going to get us in a better place? Sorry bud, the focus shouldn't be on those things. Hell, the focus shouldn't even be on guns. The country needs to rethink how we look at mental health.

Apparently, being a serial killer with above-average intelligence makes your pants tight. But hey, keep telling me I don't know what I'm talking about because I'm younger than you.

  • i live on violent video games and movies, i spend a great deal of my time playing/watching violence, yet i have never had any thoughts of commiting acts of violence and the thought of enacting force against another person goes against everything i stand for

so am i just an exception? ... ... no im in the majority

And that is this board summed up Vapor. You don't know shit cuz you're younger than them. Also, there isn't anyone older than them that agree with whatever we might have to say...

  • You're the one who's a naive know it all. Your opinion is of no consequence to me, because I so often find myself at the farthest possible position from you.

You should read Bundy's last interview. It's not that the porn and violence made him a monster but he claims it was the driving influence that fostered his monsterdom and helped form his violent fantasies. He had no reason to lie he was only hours from inevitable death. According to him all the killers he knew in jail had one common link. Addiction to violent media and porn. And his words seem eerily true today.

Your arguement that "well I like it and I don't want to kill anyone" is invalid. You may be a more well developed person than Adam Lanza or Ted Bundy.

There's obviously many who are not.

Why don't you tell me what you have to say then woody? And exactly what do you have to base it on? I can base what I said on the last testement of a prolific psycho killer who knows exactly why he killed people. What can you base your arguements on?

  • Blaming this on video games or violence in the media is pretty dumb though. I've grown up killing people in my TV, and I'm fine. I beat hookers to death in GTA at like age 12, and I'm fine.

Violence in the media didn't cause this person to do what they did. Clearly something was messed up in their head to begin with.

If you really wanna blame violence in the media on these shootings then you might as well blame casinos and lotto tickets for people getting addicted to gambling. Cuz clearly it has nothing to do with the person and everything to do with the casino. No more Horseshoe downtown and no more revenue across the country...

Also to whomever said this isn't the time to discuss gun control. When is? Just wondering.

Edit: Actually we should probably make sure we have all of the info first. But still that means pretty soon

i think he was agreeing with you man, saying that this board asserts that age trumps all

Bundy is the exact reason why mental health issues need to be the focus. You don't kill people because you get bored with Jean Claude van Damme movies and porn. You kill people because you lack the self-control it takes for moderation. That's clearly a mental health problem.

i never said we shouldn't discuss gun control, lets discuss

As the Founding Fathers knew well, a government that does not trust its honest, law-abiding, taxpaying citizens with the means of self-defense is not itself worthy of trust. Laws disarming honest citizens proclaim that the government is the master, not the servant, of the people. -- Jeff Snyder

"Among the many misdeeds of British rule in India, history will look upon the Act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest."

    -- Mohandas Gandhi, An Autobiography,

The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to permit the conquered Eastern peoples to have arms. History teaches that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by doing so.

    -- Adolph Hitler, April 11 1942

No matter how one approaches the figures, one is forced to the rather startling conclusion that the use of firearms in crime was very much less when there were no controls of any sort and when anyone, convicted criminal or lunatic, could buy any type of firearm without restriction. Half a century of strict controls on pistols has ended, perversely, with a far greater use of this weapon in crime than ever before.

-- Colin Greenwood, in the study "Firearms Control", 1972

Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed, as they are in almost every kingdom in Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword, because the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops.

    -- Noah Webster

  • What does this have to do with a standing army and a conquered people?
