Honey Badger Agent Demands Guaranteed Money Or No Contract Signing

The Browns Board

  • Every NFL contract is non-guaranteed, that's the nature of the business. Every dollar in the contract is only given if you're on the gameday roster.

He should be glad he's being offered a contract and not cut like these guys.

He's given a chance.. frankly, people defending Tyrann are not being fair to the NFL athletes who played by the rules in college. They don't have to like or even agree with the rules - but if a career in football is the goal, the path is defined to not include weed.

  • Playing by the rules in college? That would make sense IF he was using PEDs, adderol or steroids or something like that, he wasn't. He was using a substance that many "believe" makes you slow. So please quit acting like he was cheating or something. He simply used an alternate substance to alcohol. That is all.

  • By this judgement anyone who every failed a drug test or broke an NCAA rule shouldn't get guaranteed money. Shit why should haveone with real injury concerns get guaranteed money. The object of this desicion is that the Cards are trying to protect themselves. Why shouldn't the Raiders protect themselves against Hayden who they over drafted. Why shouldn't the Steelers protect themselves against Jones incase his spine injury is real.

man, it must be lonely on that farm. ever think of coming out of the 'barn' and seeing the real world?

drive your tractor to ny and i'll open your eyes up (wide) for just a day or two.

i'll make sure you get home ok.

Why on God's green earth would you think that going to NY is seeing "the real world" any more than seeing things on a farm?

Having been all over this nation from Chatanika to Coral Bay, from Lubec to Makaha I can tell you that both are just as real as the other.

    really? i didn't know that.

guess i'd have to be a lawyer to figure that out.

    it was a joke.

He used a drug that's banned, and failed dozens of drug tests. You have the right to work to change laws -- but never to simply break the ones you don't like.

When you're caught speeding, the cop has zero interest in your assumption that the speed limit should be higher because you're driving a car that can handle the speed -- you're paying the fine and the points, period.

Mathieu was also arrested last October for possession of marijuana, preventing his reinstatement to LSU in 2012.

Arizona's well within their right to take this position. The law is what it is -- and note that Peter King this morning verified that [at least what he was told] Arizona's getting their way with this: zero guaranteed money is happening.

Look, if you personally want to run a professional sports league with weed being within the rules - go for it, and good luck. But that league isn't the NFL, and based on dollars invested.. the NFL isn't changing any time soon.

OK, well, I have seen any number of New Yorkers who haven't figured that out.

Im sorry but NY blows. It's just like every other big city just 10 times more expensive. I guess that's why New Yorkers think that its so cool because it costs more or some crap.

Id rather live in bfe then have to go back to that place again.

yeah NY blows. so does ohio , new hamphire, missourri and colorado......NOT!

ever hear of them? doubt it. have you been anywhere outside your grandma's 'no fly-zone'? been everywhere done everything. will never toast a glass to some bullshit that you belive in cuz coach hardy told you that that was the way.

a major reason for going back to ohio is the number of arbys and bob evans that are there. (man i miss that shit).

can't find a good heart valve cloggin joint in ny anymore. hell bloomberg (being jewish) is the biggest self help nazi on the east coast.

a 32oz pepsi? no sir. not here.

Isn't just that Mik- been there once, have no great desire to go back. Nice place to live I suppose if you have a shit ton of money, and don't mind massive traffic jams. Like cramming the entire state of Ohio into one city. The upside is way up, the downside is way down. Personally, I'll take Chicago over NYC for a visit anytime.

I assume at one point in time I have published on here or in Barber Shop Talk my "Gipper's List" of best towns to visit...in 4 different categories:

    Large Cities:

    Chicago

    Toronto

    New Orleans

    San Francisco

    Boston

    Medium size Cities:

    Santa Fe

    Santa Barbara

    Savannah

    Quebec City

    Madison

    Small towns:

    Woodstock VT

    Seaside Fla.

    Wellsboro, PA

    Chagrin Falls, Ohio

    Cooperstown, NY

    Resort towns:

    Sedona, Ariz.

    Taos, NM

    Aspen, CO

    Carmel, CA

    Jackson Hole WY

    Newport RI.

  • Problem with no garuntee is say he stays completly clean but happens to blow his knee out in a game this, comes back next year and breaks a bone in camp. Cardinals can just get rid of him and completly screw him over. I expect something similar to Blackmon's contract where garuntees can be voided if he is subject to certain disiplinary actions.

been to most. by no means is boston big. worked a block from the state house south of the commons. i could walk from north to south boston in an hours lunch time. yes chicago is great. toronto (was?) one of the cleanest cities i've ever been too. san fran is cool, literally BUT the list has to be built upon one's likes and dislikes. like i've been to the south. was stationed in KY. been to NO (crawfish festival at lake ponchatrain is off the chains) but you can keep the heat and the bugs. portsmouth NH is one of the most vibrant beautiful cities i've ever been to.

and i'll take telluride CO over aspen any day. less fluff, more fun.

but i was bleesed to be born and raised in sandusky and even though i haven't been back in years i can still remember every country road and city street i used to drive down 30 years ago. cameo pizza on sundays with all the other browns fans is the shit!

I don't believe that's how it works. But they could put his "guaranteed money" is escrow, for him to

receive it at the end of his contract, if he could avoid getting involved with drugs etc for the duration.

"You can take the street punk out of the street, but you can't take the street out of the street punk." ???

Maybe he'll turn it around. ...Who was that rb that Rich heralded so often....

Certainly my list is subjective. When I list "big" cities...I am taking the position that any city that has a major league team is "big".

Plus....re Boston...you can't just count the size of how far it takes to walk around downtown. You have to take the entire city....plus surrounding suburbs. (So, in a sense I would count Minneapolis/St. Paul as a single entity....though don't tell the people of those cities that...same with Tampa/St. Pete.

Never been to Telluride so I can't tell. (plus I am not going by just "good skiing", I don't ski...I basically take the whole package)

I have merely driven through Portsmouth NH...so have no basis to go one.

Yeah- relative to NYC, not too many towns qualify as "big". You have to go international to find bigger, and this list is pretty interesting- had no idea about some of those cities. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_proper_by_population

Haven't been to all those US towns\cities, Gip. San Fran is OK, but not my cup of tea. Small\resort towns I agree with Mik- I'll take Telluride (or Breckenridge) over Aspen anytime. Aspen is too glitzy, and just stinks of money. I have to put Bar Harbor on my personal list, and 100% agree about Jackson Hole. The Cowboy Bar is a must stop when you're in town.

I like the architecture of Aspen. It has a coherent....fundamentally western feel about the architecture. Glitzy? Maybe.

I have been to Breckenridge, stayed a week there in fact.....which to me is just a wide spot on the road.

I do like the addition of Bar Harbor though.

And you mean the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar in Jackson....where the bar stools are saddles.

(for real Cowboys though you want to hang out at the Irma in Cody Wyo. Buffalo Bill built that and named it after his daughter.

I have stayed there for my brother's wedding....who was at one time a Wyoming cowboy.
