The rooster NEEDS a big ovehaul except........The Cupboard is BARE...The only 2 players that could possibly bring you value are Haden and Thomas and you won't get high value for either, especially Thomas because of his contract. You have to hope the players you have progress year after year. I would be shocked if they let Thomas go...Someone will get really,really hurt

Who said he was a bum? The "bums" were the ones who not only drafted him 3rd but used MULTIPLE PICKS TO GET HIM!!!!!!! I was sold on either Kalil (bookend tackles ahhhhh) or Clairbone and would have traded DOWN for Barron, Kuechly, Floyd, or Kirpatrick...oh well .......Waiting for Next Year

OOOOPS.....I missed Alex Mack... I understand this ownership wants to make it's mark.... and this trade is good for the Browns if they have made at LEAST a 5 year commitment to the Head Coach. If not this franchise is doomed to be the all time laughing stock of pro sports.....wait isn't it there already?

Forgot about your question about 1st rounder........WHY? What has Richardson done that you would want more than a 1st rounder? Granted it will be a low 1st rounder but now you have a chance for a bookend tackle ( could have had Kaili in 12) a stud guard (missed on Womack last year) A top Corner or a Steve Atwater (yea I'm old but ask Bernie how Atwater KILLED the Browns) type safety. What Receiver do you think the Opp. fears? Little?? Benjimin? Cooper? Christ Gordon is the only worthwhile receiver and he's one nap at Taco Bell away from a total ban

WHY??? Think the Browns would have made the playoffs with Richardson this year? At BEST they would have won 6 or 7 and if you take the emotions out of it you would agree. MY BIG CORCERN is Ownership/GM/Coach...if any one of these 3 change the Browns are S-C-R-E-W-E-D again. You have at least 8 holes to plug, plus step in type of players and you ain't gonna get that in 2-3 years. Bannerbardi/Chud are gonna need at LEAST 4-5 years because of the bullshit flopping each coach before them made. Plus you HAVE to overpay to get a free agent to come play for a loser in a winter climate. Right now I would take Carolina over Cleveland in a heartbeat...I hate the cold!!!

All the reports I've read from an Indy point of view are surprisingly similar to us - nobody in that backfield will be able to rush until their OL gets fixed. Otoh, teams will respect the pass more, but I still don't see a 100-yard game. Given that he's got about 3 days to learn the playbook, will be part of a 1-2 combo with bradshaw, I'd say 60-yards is about right.

If TR goes to Indy and has a real good season, we will know that he was mismanaged and will say a lot about the management team in place. And the same will hold if he flops, we will know then that the management team has a clue. Sorry for being so skeptical but as a Browns fan it comes honestly.

No it won't...Who did the Browns get in exchange and where is he playing in '13? Will he be in Minnesota in time for the game? This trade will take 2-3 years to make a SMART comparison and even then so what? It's apples to grapes...the Browns line SUCKS and won't get better in the near future. You do understand that you need only average 62.5 yd/game to get 1,0000 right? 20 carries/ game...3.2 yds / carry not real impressive right? Richardson couldn't even do that...BUT BUT he was hurt!!! Yep.....behind a better line.....

So you can imagine that Holmgren isn't seeing this trade from the perspective of the Browns' new regime. In fact, if he was coach, Holmgren said he would have stepped down following the deal, he said on Sports Radio 950 KJR in Seattle on Thursday, via the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Colts GM Ryan Grigson wasn't having anything to do with that Rick Williams-esque offer.
"I talked to him last year (at the owner's meetings) before we made the trade,'' he said. "I said, 'I'll give you all of our draft picks for the No. 1 pick and I'll take Luck. I'll give the whole draft to you."I said, 'Ryan let's do the deal, right now, right here.' He said, 'We're taking Luck.' We were by the pool, I might've even had a lemonade in my hand. He didn't take me seriously, because I was ready to pull the trigger. They were going to take him, and they should've taken him. They did the right thing, but he said if some craziness would've happened, they would've takenTrent Richardson. And now a year later, they get both of them.
