    This is really funny.

The same people saying others are in 'love' with Manziel--I'm not BTW.. Teddy B is my guy--are the same guys who are head over heels for another player like Watkins, Hoyer, or Dion Lewis, lol.

    Who cares?

Like who you like and own it.

    Two more months to go.

Browns fans are allowed to be head over heels over Hoyer and Lewis cause they wear brown and orange and have done nothing deserving of hate. The talk on here the past 2 months would be more suited for an Aggies forum. I'll go head over heels for Manziel once he is in a Browns uniform and performs well... or Bridgewater or Bortles or whoever they pick.

Manziel would give this rotten, dying, corpse of a sports city a spark of life that's much needed.

Seattle is like a hot blonde with fake tits walking down 5th avenue with Burberry bags

Cleveland is like some balding guy scratching his ass, picking his nose, and pulling out his credit card from his fanny pack at Wal Mart to buy some deep fried Mayonaise Balls.

I'm sure he can take over RGIIIs spot in all those Subway commercials, now that Griffin had a down year. Granted Manziel had some great games against Alabama and others,

But how about 70% completion rate, 13,000 passing yards, 155 rating, 1,500 yards rushing, 132 TDs- Heisman Finalist. In a major conference. I'll save you the trouble Walter- those stats belong to Colt McCoy. Oh, BTW Colt got drafted in the third round- and gee, more than one scout and Ron Jaworski have Johnny Football as a third round talent.

And if it makes you happy I don't- I wouldn't touch him at #4 overall though.

Its like comparing Watkins to Evans. Sure, Evans has a few more inches, but in every other respect Watkins is the better prospect by a country mile.

sure if you wanna throw screens all day. he's not going to out-jump evans in the corner of the end zone or down the sidelines. the commentators during the combine stated how he blocks out the defender using his big frame, not letting the CB or whoever get in front of them.

hell, he made johnny manziel look good on all those ducks he threw downfield. he was catching everything in his combine drills catching the ball with his hands 3 inches off the ground. when have we ever had a receiver in recent years that can do that?

i would compare evans to all the good tall receivers in the league, whereas sammy is shorter and would be a tweener in the slot. haden would eat him up.

As noted elsewhere Evans is similar to Alshon Jeffries. Not a bad choice. Watkins isn't exactly a shrimp @ 6'1". - that's taller than Roddy White.

Just a matter of preference Mik. do you want the big guy or a home run threat?

  • @mike-h said:

so you'd take Hoyer even though he is built leaner than Manziel and has already missed most of a season to injury? Please elaborate

no. it's just that i wouldn't take any of these guys coming into the draft with our first pick. use it on another need. like mack to replace DQ or trade down and get one of the biggest WRs (physically) to lob passes high too, ala JF. evans should have won the heisman for how many floaters he caught saving manziel's azz.

i don't hate anybody. if we pull out a miracle and can draft a WR, CB/S and QB in the first round via trading up and such, i'll be thrilled to high heaven. i'm just thinking the QB should be the 3rd pick out of the 3 and i don't give a shit who it is, BECAUSE we already have a starting QB named hoyer. if we don't draft a QB at all i'd be fine with it.

i'll own to the fact that i like evans over watkins. i like gilbert and dixon. i like storm johnson.

but i'm not going to start throwing names around because someone doesn't agree with me. i'm not going to purchase a fatface of the guy and stick it on my ceiling above my futon in my bedroom/basement and whack off to the guy 4 times a day.

everyone jumped on PoG last year for his man-love with TR. well there a couple of PoG clones trolling this board right now.

is that what you really think about cleveland?

you should be stripped of the privilege of being a browns fan you fat fucking douche bag.

  • we already have 2 home run threats (gordon and benjamin) i want the easy touchdown in the red zone guy. i want the guy that will be long enough to catch a ball over thrown, and over any defender. that's a home run to me.

  • I think Hoyer is a bit overvalued on this board. Sure he was serviceable in a couple games last year, but all I seen was a backup. I do think he earned a spot on the team, but if he is starting we really need to temper our expectations for next season. He is a hometown guy so I get why he is a fan favorite, but I am offering an unbiased opinion.

If we draft manzeil before the 3rd I'll be devastated. There is too much talent in this draft to burn an early pick on a qb that has so many red flags. I honestly would rather sign mike Vick and pick up a late round qb if Bridgewater isn't there at 4

  • Put me down for Clowney or Watkins at 4.

let me preface this post by saying i didn't even know hoyer was 'home-town' until lombardi picked him up. i'm not from cleveland so there is no favoritism here. btw i think the 2 wins made him more than serviceable.

does that mean he is the 2nd coming of tom brady? of course not. but you can't put that label on any ONE of these QBs coming into this draft. not one. so if you are just going for a guy to manage and throw all the passes when he needs to and be more than a statue, hoyer can prob do it just as good if not better than any of these guys. so why waste a pick at all, unless farmer sees a diamond in the rough with some 3rd rounder?

at least hoyer has proven he deserves to be on an NFL roster which is more than we can say about weeden at this point (and we wasted a second first rounder for him), as well as any of these guys yet.

You put down Hoyer and Manziel by calling one nothing more than a good back up and saying you'd rather have Vick than the other... while at the same time endorsing Bridgewater who plays for Louisville which is where you're from. Yep seems like an unbiased opinion lmao good one. I like Bridgewater too, puts passes in the right spots... his low interception % is proof of that. Lotta media guys say Manziel is a student of the game but Bridgewater plays like he is a student of the game. I was under the impression that he is outta of our reach without a trade up of some kind.

  • My opinion is pretty unbiased. I have watched a lot of tape on these guys and I honestly think Bridgewater gives us the best chance to win next year. Bridgewater is hands down the best qb in this class.

I am obviously not a fan of manzeil. All of those jump passes, running in circles, terrible footwork, no pocket presence, and the fact that he is stupid enough to take a picture with the heisman trophy holding a blunt, is enough for me to not want him.

I know this is controversial, but I really do want the browns to sign Vick. I don't care for him as a person ( I'm pretty sure he slept with my ex) but he has a couple reasons why he would be good for this team.

1- signing Vick shows the team we want to win now. If we go into the season with Hoyer or a qb not taken at the top of the draft, I think the feeling in the locker room will be that we are waiting for next year.

2- he would give us a year to develop or draft the qb of the future.

3- Vick will help draw free agents

4- Vick has proven to be a solid mentor for troubled players and all the qb that play behind him usually develop into solid players. Shaub, Kafka, foles.

Again I'm aware this will be an unpopular opinion, so let the bashing commence

    Okay 'Louisville Slugger', LMAO.

  • Yeah.....Vick definitely needs to play for a team with a fan section called the Dawg Pound. Comedians would have a fucking field day.

  • even with tom brady this team is not ready to win NOW. so why sign someone with the shelf life of 6 games a season for one year?

  • you suck. anyone that looks like you sucks.

i'm the idiot? yeah ok. take a look at your posts since you've been on the board. you come off as the biggest, gayest, douche since a late member of the board was axed.

obviously you know NOTHING about building a team. yes we have some good parts in place but you don't just plug and play in the NFL. it takes time for players to know what their teammates are going to do and when they are going to do it.

so if we draft JF you GUARANTEE the playoffs?

how about a gentleman's bet then?

  • @walterwhite said:

Look at all the teams that turned it around quick:

It worked for The Chiefs this year

It worked for The Eagles this year

It worked for The Cardinals this year

It worked for The Colts in 2012

It worked for The Bengals in 2011

It worked for The Panthers in 2011

It worked for The 49ers in 2011

    (I can keep going)

All the time teams turn it around quick but our lame ass team never does it.

For gods sake, Manziel could be our Cam Newton that gives us edge and spark

how about that bet big boy?

  • What if Manziel gets hurt in week 1 and we make the playoffs? Who wins the bet? Or if Hoyer starts?

  • @walterwhite said:

I bet MikeToxic if The Browns draft Manziel, we will be in the playoffs.

The wager will be 100 dollars and a bar tab of choice in the Ohio region.

no not that much, and i don't live in ohio so.............

just a six pack of your finest that you'd like vs. what i'd like up to a $30 limit. i.e. gentleman's bet.

if we don't draft manziel the bet's off? what about bridgewater or bortles?

I'm with you 100% on Bridgewater and Manziel, but I have no interest in Vick. The reasons you mentioned don't justify the price tag he'd come with. I think Haslam has shown #1, Hoyer fills #2, our salary cap at least partially fills #3, and the coaches job is to fill #4.
