Signing him would take a WR off the table in our early draft rounds ........would rather draft Watkins or Evans at 4

Id rather evans, just for height reasons. Same reason I don't like Desean, too short.

but not evans at 4, mind you.

  • I wouldnt take him at 100,000 a year has ties to crips gang members not something you would want as part of your team in my opinion

I agree, but I have no idea how common it is for players to have these links.

I think Evans may be better than Watkins. He def has better hands.

His ties go deeper than aquaintences.

once again; i still have no idea how common that is.

    Not common.

    How do you know?

  • It's more common than you would think, but still not an everyday occurance. We're all only six degrees away from a member of the Crips anyway.

I'm not worried about his gang affiliations. I'm worried about what he does on the field and what he does in the locker room as it pertains to the team.

If he's going to complain about not getting the ball after a bad game, no thanks.

We're not the Parriots. We don't have a stable enough program yet to take in multiple character concerns solely because of their talent. Give it a couple of years.

Regardless of how common it is , once known it is something I would avoid completely. Most teams when they find deep ongoing ties and relationships like apparently exist with Desean would cut ties just like the Eagles have. The Hernandez thing really brings that to the forefront for teams now.

  • The people he associates with (has recent pictures, part of his record label) shot and killed a 14 year old rival gang member a few years ago. Desean himself has never been confirmed as being in the gang, but all the evidence points to it.

He had a picture with the shooter after he was acquitted while he had his prison shirt on. And he posts pictures with the crips sign and uses it on the field.

I like his talent, but he only cares about the money and seems to be a bad presence.

  • He's a piece of shit.

He is a POS, and to think these guys make millions to play a game. Just to live a gangsta life. Dont matter though, some team will pick him up.

Without a doubt. Just hope it's not our dumbasses
  • The thing is: DeSean hasn't changed. He hasn't done anything different than he was doing two, three, four years ago.

The Eagles changed. Chip Kelly doesn't want a part of that, which is completely fine. But don't make it out like DeSean is ramping up his behavior and is out busting rival members at night.

The guy knows people that are in a gang. So do most of you and you know it. Most of you are from or live in Ohio/Western PA. You telling me you don't know somebody in the family?

I, personally, wouldn't want him here if he's going to distract the team by demanding the ball or contract extensions. But that's me.

    But here's a scenario:

Sign DJax. Draft Mack at #4. Draft Roby at #26. Draft Su'a-Filo in the second. Trade Sheard and both 2014 3rds for a 2015 1st. Trading Sheard, plus not resigning Rubin after 2015 would free up enough cap space to resign Haden, Cameron, the rest of the DL and keep DJax. Package the two 2015 1sts, move up to take Mariota or Hundley who will probably go in the top 3.

The only hole created will be the departure of Rubin, which can be filled in the second round (or later) in 2015.

Sheard and/or Rubin won't be with the team come this time next season. It's not the best news, but it is true. Hopefully we can get something for one of them.

  • I'd sign D-Jax..he's never even gotten in real trouble.

The more weapons we have the better. He'd be our second best receiver, that's a good thought if I've ever had one.

the guy is cancer- send him to Oakland or the Bengals.

  • anybody nowadays that even shows up on the "MIGHT BE AFFILIATED' board needs no attention from the browns, even though cleveland (east) is a great backdrop for shows like the 'first 48'.

we could have the rock coach jackson hernandez, OJ, rice and carruth and call them the bad news browns and r. lewis (or l. taylor or michael irving) could be their manager buying them the best dope and women money can buy.

    the AFCN/miami U gang.

Probably a rumor started by his agent to get more money from Washington. I'd be surprised if he came to Cleveland...
