  • walterwhite the king of the flip flop. i'm starting to think you are bipolar.

one week you scream how pettine is the best coach we've had in awhile blah blah blah, and hoyer is a very good QB.

next week after a loss they both suck balls.

then on a week of a close win you don't know where to go. i've seen at least 4 different threads with 4 different walters in them.

you couldn't make up your mind if you had one, which you don't.

  • yeah walter maybe 30 years ago.

hopefully it doesn't take you that long to get off of dick island.

  • Pettine has been the best coach in a while, anything beats Shurmurball and the Chud implosion the last half of last year's season. Hoyer has his good moments and his bad moments, still the best QB Browns have had in recent years. It will be exciting to see where the Browns finish, even 8-8 is better than anything we've seen in a long time. The team is finally heading in the right direction. I hope no one panics and pushes the reset button yet again.

No, they overcame Pettiness horrible clock management and Hoyer's poor play and they pulled out a nail biter on the road. In his interview, Gordon said he just wanted to prove to his teammates that he was willing to do anything to win including running the ball. The team with all these injuries is getting a taste for winning and they like it. And here's a shout out to the backups who DID THIER JOBS!

F#ck the Ravens! We got Crow!

  • Reading this board, you would never know we are 7-3, more like the reverse.

Well then you would be smart, because we aren't 7-3

    Defending shit play?

We look like hell and you say headed in the right direction?

    God you're embarrassing.

Yup Walter- that's one of the marks of a good team- play bad, and golly gee- still win a game. Or maybe you prefer the opposite, play great, and lose?

I stand by saying harbaugh will be coach next season when he departs from SF.

Pettine's job is 100% safe at this point- bet the ranch on it. If Harbaugh goes anywhere- it going to be back home to Michigan after Hoke gets fired. The Wolverines will offer to make him the highest paid coach in the history of college football, if he's willing to listen.

  • The browns have been as bad as they've been for as long as they've been because of a lack of continuity. Pettine will continue to grow in his position as head coach. You need to stop the coaching carousel at some point no?

Harbaugh will be coaching that team up north. He's not cut out for the NFL at least not yet.

I agree. I think most top coaches believe a top college job is far better and more secure then a NFL job. They have far more control over their fate.

  • Mike Pettine isn't a good coach and Brian Hoyer isn't an accurate QB.

That coaching in the last minute was fire-able.

Oh c'mon. So there is some questionable clock management at times but "fire-able"? At 7-4 in his rookie HC year? Are you insane?

The lack of continuity may be part of it....but that is not all, only a minor part. Talent plays a part.

Yup... Having a HC who is talented helps. Along with leadership, vision, social skills, intestinal fortitude...

Vag, where exactly do you think we should have stopped the HC wheel since '99?

With the possible exception of Mangini and maybe Butch (minus the GM duties), I got nothing...

  • Again I ask........are we tanking the season?

  • yes, I think being 6-4 in November with tons of starters injured is heading in the right direction. Much better football than what was seen the last few seasons. It looks rough at times but can you see Weeden making the same comebacks Hoyer has? Can you say that the team is worse now than it was last season? Can you say that you honestly believe Pettine is a worse coach than Shurmur?

    Enjoying mediocrity, I love it!

no. the starting QB just tanked his career. if we were going to tank the season they should have started like oh, let's say THE FIRST GAME?

  • The OP must be half brain dead.

  • Leaving hoyer in the game today=tanking the fucking season.

  • Tanking the season would be what Indianapolis did when Manning left to get Luck genius.

  • Honestly i think the Browns were proving to Hoyer that is was not worth "starter" money. No reason on this planet to stick with him today "if" you wanted to make the playoffs.

  • Browns are not tanking to get a higher draft pick.....they are tanking to not pay Hoyer and start the JFF era next year.

  • HOYER sucks. Great kid, plenty of heart, but no skills. Pettins decision cost us the season today. Great defense, zero offense. This sucks, I am so pissed off right now!!!!!!!!!!

  • Again I ask........are we tanking the season?

    Same answer. No.
