Flashing money signs before ever taking a snap in the NFL never worked out for anyone.

The money sign is absolutely meaningless.

    Get over it.

Let's revisit the start of the discussion shall we? In response to another member Saint Steve posted:

    To which I replied:

    @tour2ma said:

Disagree... I think it's symptomatic of a lot of things, but can set that aside.

What cannot be set aside is the its impact on opponents. Bengals D talked about how the spector of that "meaningless" gesture pumped them up. That they did not want to see it and their play was driven by their desire to not see it.

It's permanent bulletin board material... even if there's nothing new to fuel the fire, there's "the money sign" to fall back upon.

    And then...

    @westside-steve said:

Oh horse shit. You take it seriously because you don't like the kid. What pumped the Bengals up is the fact that we fuck them in the ass in their own house.

It also cost the Cincinnati morons at least one penalty. WSS

So the only absolute position in the "discussion" belonged to The Saint.
The only attempt to label motivation for a position was by The Saint.

Steve, it was two divergent opinions.

All I ever said was that I disagree with yours.

There is no winning such a discussion, but, as you showed, you can lose it.

    Go Browns...

  • Quote from CBS sports: The biggest surprise of all, though? The Browns are the THIRD best-selling team. In the NFL. Out of all the teams!

Yesterday, while Christmas shopping here in Houston, I saw Browns Throw blankets, Tervis mugs, jerseys, coffee cups and an assortment of other shit in stores like Bed Bath and Beyond, Academy, Sports Authority, places where I had never seen items before.

South Texas thinks the Browns are a bunch of losers, but who could blame them. The Texans are 5 and 3 against the Browns with their last loss in 2007. The Texans have been to the playoffs twice since then beating Cincy both times in the first round. To have all that gear in the stores is only due to Johnny. Texas folks love their football and are very knowledgeable and they know Johnny can play. Too bad we have a screw up at OC who rode along on his dad's and Kubiac's coattails.

We will see in a few minutes if he can play - Oh wait, the wife pulled the Sunday ticket so I guess I won't see and the Texans are at home.

The browns have a big traveling fan base. Not all that surprising.

This might be good for Manziel. Imagine if he came in and lit it up right away? Look at RG3. He came in, was great and was given the key to the city. Look at him now, complete mess. Look at Kap, he looks horrible after looking so great last season. Might be good for Manziel to shit down his leg these final games. Realize that he has to stop the parting, mature and work his ass off in the off season.

    You are Retarded...

This is the NFL. He is who we think he is.

  • And now the Diva got injured... Welcome to the NFL Johnny Failure.

    SEE YA!!!!!!!!!!

    Next

  • Teddy is looking pretty damn good...

  • Done with johnny. We knew what he was coming out. We know what he could be.

Turns out he is what he was

    Please, don't rub it in...

Some real idiots fell for that combine BS.

    Teddy is for realz.

  • This kid texted me "Hurry up and draft me, let's wreck this league" he must be drafted in the first round. Yep stupid FO keeps it consistent.

  • Johnny will be the presumed starter next year. He's had five and a half quarters as a starter so far. That's not even enough time to start the beginnings of an evaluation yet. Maybe Johnny will eventually bust out, but we are a long way from finding out

  • Another 76% complete took rate with 2 TD on the road for Teddy.

Oh how we could had Teddy,

    Teddy franchiszheous..

But we are left with wreck'em Manziel.

    Lol

  • They've had him in practice for 20 weeks now....they know if he looks like a pro or not already.....their off season moves will tell us all we need to (or already) know

  • Yeah we will see....that much is true. Just would be extremely unusual to give up on a first round qb after 26 throws as a starter and 5 and a half qtrs.

Will be? So you are saying he is not now the presumed starter? What will change? Why is he not now?

  • Yeah we will see....that much is true. Just would be extremely unusual to give up on a first round qb after 26 throws as a starter and 5 and a half qtrs.

unless he is obviously and painfully ill equipped to do the job....and pro coaches, after 20 weeks, know that.....Im sure they'll play him, but promise him nothing and will quick hook him without notable signs of progress...

  • Johnny looks like he will be a poor back up right now, now matter which team he plays for. Hoyer still looks like he has possibilities. I think he has mental issues with being a backup so long. I think he could be good for a couple years. We need to address other issues with this team.

  • Forget the skill set... or lack thereof...

As my dearly departed, maternal Grandmother would say...

Johnny Manziel does not have the sense that God gave a goose.

To injure yourself on a meaningless first-down play by taking on two defenders while trying to make it to the sideline for a two-yard loss is unforgivable.

How can you build your team around such a player?

How can you trust him with the keys?

  • Yeah we will see....that much is true. Just would be extremely unusual to give up on a first round qb after 26 throws as a starter and 5 and a half qtrs.

and now we hear he was cleared and ready to play after the half...

Coaches saving him for later?....next week maybe?....or have they already seen enough for the year?
