I'll have much more respect for the entire organization if we simply cut Ryan Leaf v2.0 Yes, it sux beyond bad that we have wasted another 1st round pick - yet again, but it's usually best to limit your damages when possible.

The only positive ( and I use that term very loosely) is that it was an extra first round pick that was wasted. We still have 2 this year.

Admitting a mistake and moving on would certainly earn Haslam and company a ton of respect from the fans.

what makes you so sure they won't mess up the next draft also?

  • I think Gordon and Manziel both offer "move up" value in the draft....someone will take the chance

No way of knowing.....but I'd rather be optimistic rather than pessimistic.

It's getting harder and harder to be optimistic

  • There is a saying the organization is play like a brown. All three are pussies and kids

Unfortunately that's a great question. At least we have the UDFAs to hang our hat on.

I would say that it is so hard to be consistently horrible with our 1st round picks, that we are bound to hit a good one just based on probability alone.

  • Gordon's only a $1.6 million cap hit, hard to get a #1 WR for that money.

you weren't saying that shit when the browns were winning, real fan.

just pick moments in time when you think people don't remember what you say, come back rearrange your whole stance and act like you know what the fuck you are talking about now.

    you're a joke. a bad one.

Dobbs Ferry must be out of MD 20/20.

Not saying that Benjamin, Hawkins and Gabriel deserve to be cut tomorrow but the NFL requires that you have bigger receivers and those three are tiny. They won't win 50/50 balls and they showed that today.

i get the size issue. problem is farmer didn't think it was necessary to draft a wr. so until i get given the keys to the GM office i'll let the guy in there already do his job without wailing outside like a little girl every time something goes wrong.

i mean mcdonalds hasn't fired you for every fry you drop on the floor correct?

do they even make MD 20/20 anymore?

It's not for me. It's still just a football team that I have no control over what they do or what happens. Plenty of other things for me to worry about.

Putting faith in the guy who drafted Manziel/Gilbert, good call, put down the cleaning products

True, but cap room is not a concern right now..

  • It's like saying your crazy girlfriend has great qualities and she can come around... But you look around the Bitch stole all your stuff and fucked the homeless guy at the freeway exit holding a sign for help. You have to cut the cancer off.

We'll immediately get better by subtraction .............. immediately.

If they make a play for a top FA it could be. Imagine Gordon on one side Demarius Thomas on the other and Hawkins/Gabriel in the slot. You could have that with only one big cap hit.

Not for another QB in this draft, that's for certain.

  • no....no qb's.....but maybe move intoa top 10 type of pick

edit...raiders have #5 and seem like the type of team to take johnny and/or gordon

  • The one thing that I don't understand around here is this 49er syndrome that surrounds players. I think Joe Thomas is declining but until there is a better option I want him on the team. Our WR core without Gordon isn't NFL quality and you won't replace him without spending a good amount of cash, he really is cheap for what you get.

What good is he to the team when he gets popped for smoking weed and is lost for a year? It's going to happen. IT's not a matter of if it happens, it's when it happens and best that it happens when hes someone elses problem.
