Dobbs Ferry must be out of MD 20/20.
Not saying that Benjamin, Hawkins and Gabriel deserve to be cut tomorrow but the NFL requires that you have bigger receivers and those three are tiny. They won't win 50/50 balls and they showed that today.
i get the size issue. problem is farmer didn't think it was necessary to draft a wr. so until i get given the keys to the GM office i'll let the guy in there already do his job without wailing outside like a little girl every time something goes wrong.
i mean mcdonalds hasn't fired you for every fry you drop on the floor correct?

If they make a play for a top FA it could be. Imagine Gordon on one side Demarius Thomas on the other and Hawkins/Gabriel in the slot. You could have that with only one big cap hit.

I think Gordon and Manziel both offer "move up" value in the draft....someone will take the chance

The one thing that I don't understand around here is this 49er syndrome that surrounds players. I think Joe Thomas is declining but until there is a better option I want him on the team. Our WR core without Gordon isn't NFL quality and you won't replace him without spending a good amount of cash, he really is cheap for what you get.

What good is he to the team when he gets popped for smoking weed and is lost for a year? It's going to happen. IT's not a matter of if it happens, it's when it happens and best that it happens when hes someone elses problem.

but at some point, if you really want to walk the talk so to speak, you have to back it up.....they are desparatey trying to change the culture and this is how you do it.....and its the time to do it to.....takes balls, and in the end, will pay off

He was arguably the 2nd best WR in the NFL in 2013 regardless of how you feel about him.
I try not to let emotion drive my thoughts. I agree Gordon is a wildcard but any team who trades for him will low ball it and he is a legit #1 WR, especially on the Browns.
And based on this logic Farmer should cut the whole team cause there isn't one guy on this team that has won anything

The only positive ( and I use that term very loosely) is that it was an extra first round pick that was wasted. We still have 2 this year.
Admitting a mistake and moving on would certainly earn Haslam and company a ton of respect from the fans.
what makes you so sure they won't mess up the next draft also?
What makes you analyze only the first round of the draft? Do you think West and Bitionio were bad picks? How about Kirksey? Do you think Crowell and Kuwann were bad UDFA's? First round busts suck for sure but there are bars full of them LOLwhat makes you so sure they won't mess up the next draft also?
