  • Gordon and our #1 for Jimmy G?

    Ummmm... no.

  • I will ask again; do you guys do a mock draft on this board? Does Zombo? He seems so knowledgable I was just, wondering from a Cleveland perspective instead of the national mock drafts that, bombard us every year.

Lord NO! You can't keep trying to fix mistakes with more mistakes!

  • Speaking of hindsight it doesn't look like Bill Belichick is in the business of letting bonafide starting quarterbacks slip by him.

It doesn't? How many ex-Pat QBs are starting in the NFL?

in case you missed it I was talking about the one we had for the first part of d

the season. And which of the ones he has traded away are in the top five or ten percent of quarterbacks? I know everyone thinks Jimmy Garoppolo is the new Kirk Cousins but...

But I won't speak for you. If you think he's worth a first, then start printing the banners!

  • To New England. Throw in Manziel's ass to sweeten the deal.

    Would you make that trade?

You are not allowed to suck anymore QB dick after Manziel.

You are not allowed to talk about QBs. You have the worst evaluation for the QB position.

    FWIW, Garoppolo isn't going anywhere.

The Patriots look at him in the same way the Packers looked at Aaron Rogers.

HOF QB still playing at a high level and a 'youngster' with tremendous up-side holding the clipboard and learning from "The Master" until it is time to pass the baton.

Garoppolo is only a Rookie but NE has a ton of confidence in him to realize their succession planning.

Most professional FOs react. The good ones plan ahead. Because they are good, they also find diamonds in the rough.

  • Not,to mention watching Odell Beckham these last few weeks. Wow is this gut replacing Cruz or what? I'm jealous.

Nope. If The Gmen can get their Oline back to its former consistency while keeping their RB's healthy, they have one of the most dangerous passing attacks in the league.

Odell outside, Cruz working in the slot - that's all kinds of filthy. I really wish JPP could get healthy and return to form. I remember watching that late 2011 push and thinking the kid

was going to be a superstar. It just shows how fortunate one has to be in order to maintain success in the NFL.

You screamed for Manziel and now you want to trade his ass.

Go where the wind blows, i'm okay with that.

No, i won't make that trade.

Unless you have 1 overall, this QB class is weak.

I am sure that is the Pats' hope.

I am sure that as Brady approaches 40 their search for his successor intensifies.

But besides hitting the jackpot with Brady, what evidence is there that the Pats have any special insight into QB talent?

    To date... none...

What evidence do I have that the Packers have any insight into QB talent, they've only had 2 in the last 20 years.

The Pats have had Brady for about 15 years or so and - before that - Drew Bledsoe. Even Tony Eason brought them to the SB and Steve Grogan very close.

We know the Browns, as an organization, is shit-poor when it comes to evaluating QB talent.

But, then again, dream on my friend.

  • Jerry chooses to let DeMarco Murray walk, then signs Adrian Peterson.

We choose to let Hoyer walk, then package Manziel and Gordon for a first and a third.

Jerry franchises Dez Bryant, giving him time to play with the contract and evaluate Gordon as a possible replacement.

We package two firsts and a third to move up to #2 and take Mariota, who tears his hamstring in the National Championship game against Ohio State.

We take Kevin White, WR from WVU with our remaining first round pick.

We draft BPA after that, and then take Rakeem Cato in the 6th round.

Mariota opens as the starter, has a rocky rookie season, winning 7 games but posting solid franchise QB stats - over 60% completion, 2:1 TD to interception ratio, a handful of rushing touchdowns. White finishes the season in contention for OROY, as our main receiving threat and a game-changing talent. Mariota and White look oddly similar to 2008 Aaron Rodgers and Greg Jennings.

Romo is unable to win Dallas' first three games with Peterson, Dez and Gordon. Jerry names Manziel the starter. He wins 11 games and leads the Cowboys to an NFC Championship, where they ultimately lose on a costly Manziel fumble in the fourth quarter.

Mariota then goes on to lead the Browns to three AFC Championship appearances over the next 4 seasons, losing his first two but taking the third one in 2019, where the Browns face off against the Chip Kelly-led Eagles in the Super Bowl.

Mariota throws for 3 touchdowns and rushes for another in one of the best games of his entire career - a 45-28 drubbing of the Eagles.

  • If Mariotta "tears his hamstring" in the championship game, there's no way he's getting drafted #2 overall or the opening day starter.

This is like watching Terminator and taking offense that Schwartzenegger didn't reload.

I'm saying that the whole scenario is a fantastical work of fiction.

The recovery timeline for a hamstring injury is probably the smallest detail to disagree with.
