National Geographic - The War On Science

I'd rather test in humanely on convicted murderers. No shortage of them and fuck em.
Like Unit 731? No thanks.
Are you talking about the Japanese? I doubt many scientists would perform thr kind of things they were doing and it was disgusting but they weren't testing on the dregs of society but plain old subjugated citizens.Like Unit 731? No thanks.
And Like it or not they made medical advances
-
Cuz fuck all that "freedom" stuff our country likes to talk about
You give up your freedom when you're a convicted murderer. That's the whole point of prison.

people in prison are free? News to me.

I would think maybe asking death row inmates if they wanted to volunteer for experimental treatments and other such things would be ethically fine. But forcing prisoners to submit to medical tests and procedures would make us another Nazi Germany.

Well just to be the devil's advocate we do require them to submit to the gas chamber or whatever form of execution the state uses...

Nazi Germany experimented on innocent people. Children even. Convicted murderers can fuck themselves. They have no value to society so I could care about their rights.

And though I can't provide exact numbers I would assume that only a tiny fraction of murderers wind up on death row, and those that do have probably committed the most heinous of crimes.Nazi Germany experimented on innocent people. Sorry Cysko, but there's nothing humane about conducting medical tests on a subject who understands what's going on and is unwilling.
It's not any different than what unit 731 did. 731's atrocious acts made Mengele and the Nazis look like girl scouts. Here's a wiki on them: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unit_731

People are saying all of this stuff like only terrible dictatorships are capable of it. The Tuskegee experiments in the US infected healthy black men with syphilis under the false pretense of immunizations. I'd rather we not go back down that road.

Not the mention the U.S Army gave some servicemen LSD without their knowledge I believe back in the 1950's. I'll have to google it.

I Don't Expect you to agree with me but since the dregs of society are just sitting around costing us money we might as well use them for medical experiments. Why subject a pig to it? The pig didn't murder a bunch of people. Besides testing on humans is the only way to know for sure what it will actually do to humans.

bio med sciences aside-
the chart above isnt only skewed towards the left, its an obama led paradigm shift!
I mean every red blooded tea party libertarian republican WANTS fracking
the wimpy fracking total above smacks of liberal mass transit types!
also - no self respecting republican will agree with such high total favoritism with bio fuels!
it costs more $$ to develop than to offset benefit!
our motto on spending money for failed endeavors are an anathema

If these items were shifted as you perceive them then it would just further make tho article's point

uhm no,
the National Geographic is as left as left can get and ITS crying about its own perception
about being (in your words) - persecuted?
the large bold faced type whining out loud is meant for us to believe that the bastards on the right are holding us down? War? lol

Shit I was in college in the early seventies and we had to pay for our own Berkley white, strawberry fields, Mr natural and orange sunshine.

I don't care about whatever opinion they have. I'm talking about the factual, non opinionated data that was posted and graphed.
