But looking above the #12, only the Jets passing on MM in favor of Gurley looks odd.
And looking below the #12 through #18 only Beasley looked competitive to spending the 12 on MM...

I don't give up on him as quickly as most of you guys do. Give him a real line that allows more than 2 seconds and better play calling/design that takes advantage of what he can do rather than stuffing him in a system and you may see the real reason he holds a lot of major SEC records. You only saw a shadow of the real Johnny Football. He's a competitive person and when rehab is done he will show the kind of dedication you all expected rather than a guy trying to live up to a name he never asked for. He has the right QB coach and the right OC to give him the best shot at being a real NFL player. I'm banking on the fact he has always taken up the challenge in the past and done the things he needed to do AFTER he won the Heisman to make himself a better player. That now includes putting himself through a very humbling rehab. process that has put him up to ridicule here and elsewhere.

Manziel showed me guts & determination before, & showed it again by putting his ego & pride aside by entering rehab. I expect a "renewed & improved" Johnny Manziel to come out of rehab. He's backed himself into a corner, but he's the type kid who comes out fighting. Could I be wrong about Johnny?...Absolutely (and I'll be the 1st to admit that IF I am), but I don't think I am wrong about him & I'm rooting for the kid to succeed.
BTW, I don't yet own a Manziel jersey, but still DO have & wear a Manziel t-shirt I bought at last year's draft party. This 68 year old didn't jump up on a chair cheering his being drafted to give up on him now (same as I have never & will never give up on the Browns).

When you read it again Tour he sounds like he actually DID jump up on a chair. Or he is senile and forgot whatever it was he did. LOL! We need a chair jumping icon though cliff jumping would more likely win out here.

You dont have to click on the threads or even read them. It will quiet down as moves are made and they are quiet in FA so peeps have nothing to divert to. KV

I wonder how much of Manziels problem is a drinking problem and how much is simply a narcissistic trait in Johnny? My hope is the drinking is less of a problem. Lot's of people drink to excess but don't have the desire to be the center of attention. Possibly part of his being sequestered is to stay out of the medias sight?
The kid has had a high degree of fame at a very young age. That can go to a persons head pretty quickly. Especially when you add in large amounts of money. You see this with a lot of young entertainers. Maybe part of this is to help Johnny understand that he doesn't always have to be the life of the party.

I've known people who went through ARC in the Navy and it was no joke. The therapy is intense and a one year aftercare mandatory along with logged AA meetings. In those days supervised taking of daily antabuse was also required. If you relapse say goodbye to your career.
