One Nation, under Allah......

  • So.... as a Christian, you can't be loyal to your own local football team, either, I take it.

And certainly, you can't be loyal to anything. In fact, you should be disloyal to everything

    except Christianity.....

it isn't even funny or entertaining. It's....something else not good.

I'm loyal to my country forever, but the US is not my "master".

Liberals, and other silly people, gloss over, or misuse words to make "special" points.

In the original Hebrew and/or Greek, the various words denoting "master" mostly reference

    "teacher/leader".

Not "I love and am loyal to country, favorite team....etc."

In the early days, when I went to church, the church was not my "master/leader" and neither was the

pastor. Those were a means to the end - learning more about God, about Jesus, via God's Word.

Therefore, when I understood about tithing in original Hebrew and Greek, it wasn't the same as

members paying a flat 10% of their gross income.

Well, one fine day, I happened to stop in and talk to him about it. He got a bit incensed, and

told me that was just the way it was. I said, if not justified by the original Hebrew and Greek,

why do so many churches have that same tithing policy?

Well, he looked at me smartly and said "because it works". I said "well, robbing a bank "works", but it

is wrong."......and he got red in the face, formerly censored me to leave the church and not come back.

So, I left, and didn't. But he ended up studying that subject, in the original Hebrew and Greek,

and one day called, humbly apologized, and said he was wrong. They changed their policy.

You can be loyal to your country, team, city, family, freedoms, cracker jacks, whatever for the most part...per whatever "bibles"

    apply to you.

And God's Law has nothing to do with obeying traffic laws, or gov laws. Those are societal/governing laws.

God's Laws are per salvation, as I see it.

    "sigh"

  • Well put, cal.

  • Mo, it isn't a matter of disagreeing. I disagree with all sorts of stuff, but I'm loyal to

my country. and this board, etc.

My country is not policies, My wonderful, outstanding marriage - I am 1000000 percent loyal...

but we disagree on which side of the sink put the dirty dishes, and how long they

should be allowed to remain there.....

Liberals miss the point of things. If you want to fundamentally change what you are a part of,

then you aren't loyal to said part. Therefore, you should leave that part.

I do not want to fundamentally change America - I dearly love my country. Do I agree the way Obamao is

doing ANYTHING, the marxist sumbeech bastard.....? NO.

His policy is not my country. Bush never tried to "fundamentally" change our country. You disagree with

some of his policies, oh well.

Liberals always? tend to think emotionally on issues. That's why they make little analytical sense,

and get all twisty-twisty into knots about things.

  • And normal service is resumed. Somewhat relieved, I must say, agreeing with you lasted only about 10 minutes 😉

  • Os, stop already with the knee jerk reaction.

    You apparently missed the part:

" a New York high school made students recite our national Pledge of Allegiance in Arabic."

    ARABIC.

Why the refusal to see the picture for what it is? It's a pro Muslim, pro arabic, twist.

And, this is also part of the picture:

" I reported on a Common Core school assignment that forced students to make Islamic prayer rugs, and recite Muslim Prayers, and a U.S. Marine dad who was banned from school after protesting an assignment that blatantly promoted Islam."

That is why the outrage. And I'm sick and tired of spanish. Spanish on recording when you call companies,

spanish on so many labels of products. STFU already with the studidass spanish.

LOL, I like how you accuse me of having a knee-jerk reaction because I pointed out the knee-jerk reaction to the use of the word "Allah." I'd quite forgotten how broken your comprehension skills are. Thanks for reminding me so I can continue to avoid this forum.

  • Keep in mind that we revere the founding fathers who were in fact traitors and mutineers. The Patriot? That was Benedict Arnold who is now reviled in our history.

If loyalty ever needs to take precedent what are you most loyal to? Your family? Your friends? Your town? Your state? Your country? Your race, religion, political party, sexual orientation?

And in cases of territorial loyalty which include your football team is there any logical reason?

  • I am loyal to my country without question.

Os, you knucklehead. I wasn't talking about you. I was talking in reference to

Mo's disagreeing with policies, so therefore, you shouldn't be LOYAL TO YOUR COUNTRY.

Damn, I even SAID "MO", right after he posted.

Yo, now YOU just "knee jerked". Jerk. 😉

Me too but this topic got me thinking about blind loyalty. I guess I have come to see my loyalty is limited. Things could change in this country where I would not be loyal.

Somehow, I see that as wrong and annoying.....the Founding Fathers were victimized

by an army of the King of England, who was trying to destroy them and/or tax them out of existence,

in a new area that wasn't a country yet. But, the King claimed it as theirs. That they were British citizens is fine,

except they were not in Britain. It's a fallacy that the King owned the colonies because the territory

was inhabited by British citizens. That's ignorant. Russia took Crimea for that half-assed reason.

The terroritorial boundaries of England hardly included the colonies of what would become America.

And Chris, when I disagree with me, 99 % of the time, I know I'm right. 😎

  • My loyalty to America and our Red, White and Blue is 100 percent, always and forever.

Until America is no more because they threw out our Constitution and Bill of Rights,

and changed our flag to a hammer and sickle.

But then, it wouldn't be America anymore. America would be gone. Then I'd still

be loyal to the dream of getting it back.

That is what I was thinking about . what if this country had a dictator instead of our democracy? Would I still be loyal? No. So my loyalty is limited to what I see and what we have today. If things would change for the worse in the future so would my loyalty.

  • Annoying?

We are citizens of the United States of America no matter where we travel to even if it is a colony of the United States. We are citizens whether or not our king Obama wants to tax us out of existence. We are citizens of the United States regardless of leadership. Whether we are in the original 13 colonies or the other 54 States... 😉

Benedict Arnold and the rest were subject of the King of England and some decided, for whatever reason, to turn their backs. I don't suppose you would be so supportive if Hispanics in Texas or New Mexico wanted to rebel against the United States? Nor do I understand how you describe that differently?

But as to my question if I were forced to choose I would probably pick family and friends.

    WSS

  • (and if enough citizens voted to fly the hammer and sickle and 5 Supreme Court justices decided it was cool then yes, it would still be the United States of America)

  • We aren't at war with Islam. We aren't at war with everyone that speaks Arabic.

Like Logic said, it was foreign language week. They probably did a bunch of things in a bunch of different languages. They weren't being "indoctrinated" with any of them.

This is fake outrage for outrage sake. How dare American students learn about other cultures though.

I would not be outraged but I don't like the idea of it and would tell the school administration that as a parent I disapprove of it. I don't overreact like some people on this board.

Really? You are quoted as saying this:

Os, stop already with the knee jerk reaction.

Os. Short for Osiris. Not Mo. This is your original post from which the quote was taken. http://thebrownsboard.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=32387&p=486925

    Perhaps you made a typo.

    *************************************************************

Go watch the "Sons of Liberty" series on TV. It was great. The colonists had everything

taken from them. Gage was a sicko who caused many of them to be murdered anytime he

felt like it. And Hancock. was a shipping magnate type, who ended up losing a ship, and his entire

mansion. And Sam Adams simply wanted to have the colonists survive - Gage and the British

bastards denied them their own profit of their own works. They couldn't feed their families.

Gage and the British army, in the name of the king of england, were every bit like the

    nazis.

If Obamao has his own army, which he said he wanted....and his army beat down doors, murdered

anyone at any time who made them unhappy, took all citizens' wealth, the citizens lived in terror,

Obamao's brownshirts took all wealth, weapons, property, and was starving Americans across the board

    to death...

rebelling against that is simply fighting against what is NOT America. Our Constitution and Bill of Rights

would be gone. They would have taken our America, and dissolved it.

    And Hispanics? rebel against...

what, exactly? You talkin illegals? then they don't belong here, and I think the border guards should just start

shooting them if they run, try to come back illegally a second time, or shoot at any of our border agents.

Why would legal American hispanics rebel against our Constitution and Bill of Rights? Unless they

just wanted to overthrow our gov.

I don't get your idea that it's the same thing at all.

  • Oops. Sorry, Os, you are right. I did chide you with the knee jerk thing. But it's true.

    You cherry picked:

    ***********************

    "Posted Today, 06:43 AM

You guys realize Christian Arabs call God "Allah," too? This is just another right-wing fake outrage story. If they were speaking Spanish, would you be outraged when they said Dios? "
    ************************
And I call that knee jerking, because it isn't "fake outrage" nothin, because they had to say it in ARABIC.
Trust me...it is not fake outrage. It was not ARABIC language class that people VOLUNTARILY signed up for.
It was the PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. So, you are still the Gizzard of Os.
  • It is fake out rage.

For someone so familiar with knee jerk reactions, you're pretty bad at pointing them out
