Ha, I figured as much and I appreciate it. Strangely enough I like it here. I appreciate some of the better posters and I enjoy name calling the more pompous/clueless bunch. It is a tough crowd but its also enemy territory. They could perma ban me but they haven't and that's something I can appreciate. I do find it amusing that you haven't been here long but put down a perfect year to year summary of what happens on this board. It could by a psych study.
Like I said before, I've been around for years but never posted. It's too negative. I live geographically equidistant from Cleveland, Buffalo and Pittsburgh, so I've been dealing with Browns fans my whole life. Erie is a football melting pot.

The point is, the Browns have not gotten that stud QB...even though they have tried. Had one of these guys turned out like we had hoped....the way BR turned out for you (instead of being the next Cade McNown) then things would be a lot different. Bad luck at drafting those QBs has been partially responsible for the instability. If Brady Quinn had actually been the next Tom Brady don't you think that Phil Savage may still be here?
And the other point here, my obtuse friend, is that very few if any here are advocating that the Browns go after another supposedly "stud" QB this year. And we certainly don't need to "trade down". We can, and should get "core players" at other positions at #12 and #19. They might even get a quality offensive skill player.....a Devante Parker/Maxx Williams. Or more help in the OL/DL/LB spots.

Butler has been in lebeau's shadow the entire time lebeau coached in Pittsburgh. He's turned down several interviews for promotion elsewhere. I'm pretty sure the steelers have something in butler.
OK, LeBeau....Hall of Fame caliber coach....considered the best DC in history...if the HOF allowed it would probably induct him as the first asst. coach to make it. But since he is already in as a player, they don't need to.
Butler may be Bruce Gradkowski to LeBeau's Ben Roethlisberger.

Maybe the Browns have drafted some really good quarterbacks over the last 50 years, but they've had to play on crappy teams. Maybe if the Browns didn't ruin so many promising careers some of those top 10 picks would have panned out.

This is the same story every single offseason. It gets worse after the draft when you guys start projecting how your picks have perfectly solved all that ills your team. Then the season starts and about a month later the posts about "being done with this team" start. It's rather funny and very predictable.
