I agree we bring in the third stringer, But I also think Manziel is a coward who is not comitted to the Browns organization or his teammates.

I was there, Mark- Pettine better be careful- the team QUIT. Those 2 turnovers set the table. You could just tell- the Browns weren't winning.
They quit at halftime, yet came out with the 2nd half kickoff and moved the ball down the field and cut into the lead??? Ok... I'm thinking you had too much pregame wine and missed that part. I did not see a team that quit at any point in that game. I saw Benjamin fumble when it was still a game trying to fight for extra yardage. I saw McCown still standing in there trying to make plays despite the rush. I didn't see a team that quit.

Problem is heart doesn't win games. Sorry Z, I'll take a team with talent who actually wins as opposed to a team full of hard workers with heart. That isn't some endorsement for Manziel at all but McCown does have his flaws (read, has terrible internal clock).
I'm no quite at the throw the season down the drain mode, but I just don't see McCown leading us to more than 2-3 wins at most. In three or so weeks you might as well see what you got. Heck, if that guy is Davis that's fine too.

Usf- we scored SIX points on offense today and the offense gave up 10 in the first quarter. Last week, our defense for a zillion ints in critical spots and kept handing the game on a platter to the offense to win, and they couldn't....
Maybe in the Sam Diego game the offense was good and defense terrible, but the last two games it has been other way around. Big-time....

No doubt offense took a shit today. But calling for mccowns head is just stupid. He's the best qb on the roster.

The fact that he ran at all shows he doesn't know how to play QB. THROW THE DAMN BALL PAST THE STICKS ON FOURTH DOWN AND MORE THAN 2 YARDS. It doesn't matter if your receiver is covered by 4 guys. Give yourself a chance to covert. If they pick it, who cares... The game is over if you don't get the first. And if you aren't playing to win, GTFO. Your a damn QB. If you want to be a running back, change your number and switch positions. Christ, it's not rocket science. It's just like when we had to watch Weeden throw the ball in the stands on fourth down "because nobody was open..."

Really . . . if he gets killed and fumbles we'd be bitching about that . . . They've probably been beating it into his head to slide so I looked at it as a positive and that he's listening to coaching.
The team's a hot pile of garbage . . . McCown is not that good . . . Every time we see a QB have a few good performances they are instantly considered the next whoever they most closely resemble. His passes are all over the place accuracy wise and he hangs onto the ball too long plus he's 36 . . . He's clearly not the future and I really don't think Manziel is either, but guys have played well when everyone counted them out. If nothing else he might bring his trade value up a bit.
Just don't see the team gaining anything from keeping McCown out there.
