Browns Locker room after the St louis Game

So not only have you said that you've never played a down of football in your life, but you're also a complete bitch.
Well done.
But I did play football? I said "I'm no football genius" which is true and neither is anyone on this god forsaken board. Also, acording to Merriam-Webster a "bitch" is defined as.....
"1. the female of the dog or some other carnivorous mammals
2. a lewd or immoral woman
3. something that is extremely difficult, objectionable, or unpleasant
4. complaint"
And I don't fit any of those definitions so I'm not sure how I am a bitch, let alone a complete one.

Yeah, you've made my point. I appreciate it.
Edit: to be simple. If you win, shake the other man's hand, wish them good health and move on.
If you lose, shake the other man's hand, say 'well done', internalize your defeat and use it as motivation to move on.
All things MEN can and should do. I stress men because I don't take you as one. Especially when it comes to competition.

waiting for a closed door player meeting?
Coach Pettine deserves that
hope that hasnt gone by the wayside

The Browns lost the game. They got beat 24-6. Our quarterback got knocked out of the game because we have an O line that doesn't give him enough protection, we don't have a running game, we have a defense that can't stop the run. The loss puts us at 2-5. Can someone tell me why some of these Browns players seem so ecstatically happy after this loss to the Rams???
Being a good sport after a loss is normal. I even saw Pettine give a hug to a Rams coach. Greet some of the other team but then get off the field ...because if you haven't noticed you are the losing player on the losing team. The winning team celebrates. Go out and win some games and then celebrate.
-
Well everyone gets a participation trophy these days so what's their impetuous to win?
-
One of the worst culprits for showing a lack of "caring" that his team lost is Whitner... and hes supposed to be a leader. I always see him chum it up after games while smiling.
These guys don't care, as long as their healthy and getting paid. Losing and getting a fat FA contract at the end of your career is what the Browns are all about. It obviously comes from the leadership/management of this team who have failed to build a culture of winning.
Until the culture changes, the losing will continue...
-
Kid, I think you meant "impetus", but got autocorrected...
For me:
The locker room is disturbing.
The post game socializing is a non-issue.
Our coach's "style" is what it is.
In Pet I see control and resolve with a fire under the surface. It's not exciting as raw, outward emotion, but it can be sustained.
Contrast him with our recent past HCs...
Chud? Resolve?
Shurmur?
Even Mangini who over-controlled himself to a fault.

Men "should" congratulate another man for whooping his ass? I guess a MAN can't be so disappointed with himself, his team, whatever, to the point where he doesn't want to see anybody from any place, any team because he knows he is too pissed to think and act rationally. But idk..... I guess I like to win more then i care about other people's opinion of myself.

I wonder how much Bowe's presence is dragging down our players...
Pet and Farm have dealt with reportedly negative presences in the past, e.g., Tate, West, but have not faced a situation where there was a lack of positive contributions on the scale of Bowe.

The fact of the matter is Pettine and Farmer are REALLY bad at firing up the troops.
When they do, they get a lead and let it slip because they play not to lose.

Haha this is sad. Playing not to lose is everyone's complaint of every coach we have had since 1999. Pettine goes for it on 4th down plenty as well as going for 2 sometimes when unnecessary. You can dislike him but he is not conservative. You are just repeating what others have said without understanding what the statement even means..

Out of all the comments I read on this thread that made any cents was the 1 TCPO made that said "go away" Other than that this entire thread is a waste.

There's nothing wrong with giving a 'well played' to the other team, be they the victor or the vanquished.
Men in are able to control their actions. What you're describing is someone acting like a jackass during a night of heavy drinking.
This reminds me of a prayer I heard from an opposing player after a game of mine. Keep in mind we lost, 13-7. Battled the who time and gave up a score late. I broke the face guard on my helmet when the clock hit :00 because winning meant so much to me. That loss still bothers me.
That said, I'm not even openly a Christian, rather agnostic but I love what the team prayer means. He said to the effect that while he thanked God for this team mates, he also thanked God for us. Because without opponents, men willing to compete just like him, there is no game. No way to invest in the thing you love. You can't play football against yourself. We were 'opponents on the field, but friends and brothers off of it'.
You'd do well to maybe get into a sport. Might open your eyes a bit.

Me are able to control their actions
The game or match is over, hopefully you did your best. It's the right thing to do to say "well played" especially if you're the one who lost. Jesus...it's been going on like this for years. Why is this such an issue this week?
-
I see the Browns just not playing as physical as last year.
The TNF game at Cincy says it all last year, they played physical football and literally smacked the Bengals in the mouth. They aren't doing that this year. The Bengals are playing much more physical this year and I'm scared about that Thursday Game.
I'll be seeing that shit in Cincy in the cold instead of the opening night showing of Spectre ?

It's called respect for the game, and it would probably get you fired if you continually didnt shake their hand. Plus, you'd just look like a big faggy bitch.I'm no football genius, but I know for sure if I was the head coach of any NFL team. I would never go to the opposing head coach and shake his hand after the game, win lose or draw. As for the players it would be a team rule that if we lose and you go to the other team and socialize with them or anything, you won't be playing next week. In fact, if we lose, you are to go straight to the locker room. You may only socialize if we win, as it will be a privilege to do so.
This isn't fucking high school ball. These are grown ass men getting paid to play football. Your "team rule" won't mean shit, players will socialize with other players and there's not a damn thing you could do about it.
Your control issues point to the fact that you have none in your own life. Maybe you should take care of that first, chief.

Tia, Thank you for this. Am 52 & still in alot of locker rooms & this shows you have been in many of them yourself. The missing factor of this story is this maybe the last time you will play the St. Louis Rams. So when Pettine hugs that other coach you know & I know that maybe the last hug they have as competitors. You also understand that music is a coach & team captain talk waitin to happen, if not happened yet & of course if it ever happened..

I think Pet needs to pull a Washington Redskins and put Bowe on the scout team to play free safety.I wonder how much Bowe's presence is dragging down our players...Pet and Farm have dealt with reportedly negative presences in the past, e.g., Tate, West, but have not faced a situation where there was a lack of positive contributions on the scale of Bowe.
He needs to do SOMETHING for that fat paycheck.

So the "outsider" says these men who have played and achieved to the highest level of their sport don't care ? GTFOHWTBS !
This is why chumps and other assorted outsiders don't need to be in the locker room.
