No one is in denial.You apparently like getting smoke blown up your ass. THEORETICALLY the Browns are alive in the playoff chase-. The best the Browns can do is 10-6, if you think that's going to happen, I have some hot swampland Florida real estate for sale.
Even @ 9-7 The Raiders or Jets only have to go 5-4 the rest of the way out- they both hold head to head tiebreakers over the Browns. We only have to leapfrog 5 other teams- plus the Chargers- who have a tiebreaker with us, and hope the Jets and Raiders start sucking really bad.
This team is on playoff life support, Yeah- there's still a few fans in denial about it- just don't get your hopes up.

What's the rush to give up?
What's the rush to play the younger guys to "see what we've got" as opposed to playing the better guys and trying to win football games as long as we are mathematically alive?

Quitting is for losers, I'm glad none of you are our coach, I can't stand quitters.
If we are as bad as everyone thinks, we'll be eliminated in a couple weeks, and that ought to be plenty of time for you to go "Oh, that's why they were on the bench."
Undermanned: It sucks,and that is what the offseason is for, to fix it.
Quitting: Totally unacceptable.
Everyone is in such a rush to tell me how bad the Browns are and how they "told me so".
I watch the games too you know. It sucks. But what is your goddamn hurry to pull the plug?

Is pettine a nice man though? Kind of comes off like a scared and insecure asshole type to me.....
Also, the propettine crowd seems to think that if you want JM to play or be given a shot you think JM was a good draft pick or is likely to be a good nfl qb. not at all. A lot of us are pretty skeptical on manziel, but are simply saying "this team is going nowhere at 2-6 and why the fuck would a 2-6 team going nowhere run out a proven loser who is 36 and hasb no upside for our future at all"

I do like our Coach more now than before, I don't agree with everything he does but I do believe he does want to WIN period. And the only thing I can say is JM must be pretty damn awful for him not to be playing more, We have no idea what goes on in practice and I really don't recall any player saying he should start other than what Josh Gordon said last year.

Last year we put him in too soon(even tho it was week 10??)....or too late(because the team had quit?).....or without first team reps(even tho he's the BU)....and now?.....dont play him because its a team he lost to last year?......
Instead of protecting him from the big bad Bengals, who beat him up last season....how about him stepping up and serving a little payback?....and showing us he's learned something and is truly better than last year?.....eh?.......or does he still need a silver platter to play and win....?

I'm suspecting it'll be McCown Thursday after he gets his weekly injection of stem cells.
Though I can already here the excuses for Manziel "don't expect too much the bengals are really good", "it's a short week that's tough on any quarterback!"

Oh, I'll tune in Z, if they get down by 20, I'm tuning out. My objective glasses see a team that doesn't have the offensive weapons to compete, and a defense that is in total disarray. Got a nice invite from a friend to watch the game in the lap of luxury at the Racquet Club. Golly gee, we're mathematically alive, if the Browns made the playoffs this year it would be considered the biggest miracle in the NFL in the last 20 years, maybe ever.

Is he the best we've had since we came back, probably not. I really think Couch could have been great if we had any king of OL. But statistically, he is the best we've had.

I'd say we would have won the San Diego game with a tad more d. Thats pretty much it. The offense was horrible against the jets, bad for 2/3rds of the game against oakland which got us down big, terrible against the broncos, terrible against the rams, and terrible for the last 60% of the game against the cards(defense was bad for much of that game as well, but at least they forced an insane number of turnovers)
Meanwhile, if the offense would not have blown goats in the denver game, thats an automatic W. Our defense was great there. And defense was heroic for much of the st louis game too(zero points for almost 3 qtrs). So in terms of balancing out games which were lost by one side of the ball, the defense has unquestionably failed us once(san diego) in a loss and the offense twice. In the other losses neither side played well enough to expect a win.
This myth that the defense has let down the offense in losses has happened ONE FREAKING GAME. The san diego game.

dude, before you talk about my talking points you need to learn how to count first. I let that one supposed mental error go(when you couldnt divide two numbers), but then you come back yesterday and can't freaking subtract two digit numbers as well.......one time perhaps we can let slip, but two separate times now where you can't do simple arithmetic or 2nd grade calculations? You need to buy a grade school math for dummies book before you discuss any more numbers/stats with me. Or maybe go back to this engineering school you've mentioned before and have them reteach you some basic math.

I said we gave up 20-30+ points in the majority of our games and that hasn't changed. Sorry you're too stupidly ignorant and say OH WE HAD A PICK 6 THOUGH OH HERE - and cited a couple games where we didn't give up 20 points doesn't change the fact we gave up 20-30+ points in the majority of games we played.
My main point though, anybody who thinks our bottom 5 defense and #32 ranked rushing game are not costing us games is a fucking moron.

#26 in points allowed per game
#30 in yards allowed per game
Offense:
#31 in rush yards per game
McCown is an average quarterback on a team that has much bigger problems than him. You're not even a Browns fan so when you say "well we see what Johnny has if he sucks no big deal"
For you it is a big deal because if Manziel sucks and leaves your interest in the Browns will drop faster than a bad facelift.
