When he pointed to the crowd he meant "they're not sending their best, not you (points)" as in the people in the crowd are the best.
And I always viewed it more as
"They're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime. They're bring <their> rapists"
I don't see how you interpret it as he thinks every single illegal immigrant is a rapist
