I thinking is unlikely. As said, erdogen is the more Islamist one there. You see in recent weeks things like shutting down gay pride marches, attacks against people in record shops (too western apparently) going basically unpunished.
And, as also said, he's a bot too chummy with the daesh-bags.

Zeynalov is a Turkish journalist. Looks like we will be seeing a way more volatile Turkey from here on out.

If they were going to have a coup they needed to be able to kill erdogan with little effort. Without him dead, obviously, failure.
