  • Some animals are more equal than others?

There's a difference between equal and equitable... not all that subtle either.

But on the other hand the "donate tax" red herring is one of my favs...

Why is it a red herring? You set the example or shut your face. I feel the same way about other hypocrites. (i.e. politicians who bitch about gays and the sanctity of marriage while going on wife number 5)

  • Because it is...

Holding someone to their own ideals distracts from the point?

  • Socialism works SO WELL, starving Venezuelans are EATING ZOO ANIMALS to survive…

Bernie has been defeated, but his idiot followers still believe socialism is the answer to their poor entitled lives having to pay their absurd college loans with a low wage barista job. Well, they should really take a look at the “socialist paradise” of Venezuela that is so poorly run that starving citizens are now having to kill zoo animals to survive.

No because it was a joke.

Though he did have several family members on the campaign payroll raking in good amounts of money.

Omg not a 4 bdrm holy shit!!! Trumps get around town car is only like a 3 bdrm so this clearly beats that.

A socialist who doesn't believe in charity and spent a year riling up blue haired hippies about how we need to redistribute the wealth in the country sold out to Clinton then bought a waterfront house for over a half mil. That's kind of ironic.

I meant a poster on that website used the line you provided. Figured you'd credit your source.

Bernie always sent emails, posted on Reddit asking for $27, $27, $27. Everywhere.

    600000/27 = 22222

    That's my source numb nuts

  • The political buzzwords of my lifetime have really illuminated this country's overall mentality.

Flip-Flop, so I can't change my mind I just forge ahead on a stupid idea.

Free-Stuff, so I pay taxes and it goes to health care for old people and building a ridiculous military machine but God forbid I want some of my tax money to provide relief for my tuition or invest in future labor.

The terminology is my gripe. Saying "free tuition" and "free healthcare" is not true but you would be surprised how many young people believe it is free. I have been in favor of universal healthcare. However, I hate when it is misrepresented as being something that can just be wished into being. It costs tax payer money.

Of course it does but so does the trillions that Iraq and Afghanistan have cost us. There is a cost associated with Government as a whole and as a whole it is out of control. The problem is EACH side of the aisle, myself included, prioritize different program spending and rarely do either side agree. There was a centrist movement in the early 2000s that I was hoping would take hold but it isn't a sexy as this vulgar, bashing political environment that were currently have. It also tends to focus people on the actual and away from the perceived issues of this Country and that doesn't set up well for those in power.

  • Ughh, blaming the collapse of venezuela on socialism...the convenient boogeyman of the right. But dont dare bring up capitalism when countries like argentina or zimbabwe undergo hyperinflation.....than its all about mismanagement. The same argument you can easily make for venezuela

Socialism has destroyed Venezuela. There shouldn't even be an argument there.

oh, boy, this should be good.... ! Go ahead, Cleve, make our hay.

  • Karl Marx understood the evils of capitalism when he said that the proletariat will rise up against the bourgeoisie. We can't disagree that we are seeing that today with politicians running on "income inequality" and fast food workers wanting $15 an hour, and sit-ins like Occupy Wall Street and millennials wanting more pay with very little experience and irrelevant liberal arts degrees. Marx believed that capitalism creates an imbalance of classes, and to some degree he was right. But Socialism/Communism has shown, historically, they don't work either. I don't know if a mix of democratic socialism is the fix either.

What capitalism does foster is growth, invention and ingenuity and the ability for an individual to succeed. Capitalism also aligns itself more so with our constitution. But how do we fix some of the actual extremes that Marx' predicts while keeping our constitution in tact and making sure that property and individual pursuit of life, liberty and happiness are not infringed, while, supporting those that are in honest need of help, financially, employment, etc., while decreasing the numbers of those that are habitual, lifetime, welfare recipients?

I look forward to reading honest solutions.

  • Experience sometimes is the best teacher. After living through the horrible economy of Jimmy Carter and seeing Reagan after him have an economic boom that lasted for many years after he left office the answer is really simple. Get government off the backs of the people, lower taxes and turn the American people loose. It works amazingly well.

A booming economy is the cure for all the ills and not government micromanagement. With a booming economy you have recruiters in college wooing graduates instead of grads coming out of college with no job prospects. With a booming economy employers treat employees better and pay them better. They see those employees and new employees as valuable assets instead of today as employers are looking at more at what it will cost them to hire new employees.
