  • Im not down....I understand we needed to rebuild. But, now we need 40 guys....soo, next year we gonna draft 5 LB's?.....and the years after we gonna draft 5 QB"S????

So....RGiii is supposed to be the next guy....but lets say we draft a qb....so how does he play w/o a line? or a Defense....

Teams rebuild all the time, w/o completely wiping out the roster in one fell swoop.....and they draft smarter then we just did....

If it's RGIII and then. next year, a QB with the #1....why draft a QB in the 3rd???(no foresight)...

If you have faith in your ability to select player, why draft 4 at the same position, when you have a few in house and the prospect of an all star coming back....why?....no faith in your own choices or evaluation of your own players???

Oh man.....tick tick tick.....Jimmahs not gonna wanna wait for this reset.... PTIV

And save your breath with the "rebuild" explanations....I know what a goddam rebuild is....I also know bad football choices when I see them.....and Im seeing them....a lot lately

Here's a good article on the panthers 2013 draft. That draft they used 2 top picks on defensive linemen when they already had a pretty solid core with Greg Hardy, Charles Johnson and others. At the time, people scoffed at drafting a dude with a heart problem and yet another linemen on top of that. It's pretty fair to say those dudes turned out okay.

It's impossible to use the foresight when rookies have played in three games mud. This plan was coming from 10,000 miles away so we might as well see if it works.

  • hahaha....Right now, Im just seeing red.....there's no talking sense into me for the moment...

Ill calm down eventually......maybe around 2020 or so.....

  • Basically, the Andy Lee to and from Cleveland amounts to trading two 7th round picks for one 4th rounder.

    ------------------

The team, organization, new HC (his 2nd go around at HC) were on national TV. And this new regime had a player purposely allow a TD without showing ANY effort at all. Not only NO effort but the player moved AWAY from the runner.

One thing that Haslam professes is ACCOUNTABILITY. If you remember when Gregg Little drpped that wide open TD pass....and Chud, the next day was talking about accountability? Haslam wanted Little cut to show accountability but Chud wouldn't do it cos he needed Little (as bad as he was). I still think that was part of the reason Chud was one and done.

No, Jackson had to react the way he did to Andy Lee's demonstration of a Hue Jackson coached team.

And I'm betting that Haslam was in his corner, if not in the whole Geek Squad's ears.

  • In the words of Marvin Gaye, "What's goin' on?"

Either these Harvard guys are way smarter than all of us put together or they have no fucking clue how football works.

Had to jump ship. In all honesty, this is unbelievably stupid. Only in Brownstown could a defense miss tackles left and right, and the punter be let go for not making a tackle.

Hue is one tough bastard, I'll tell ya that. He will have the hardest hitting punter in the NFL before he's done.

Well, they did let go of a OLB and a CB and a few others on that defense as well..

They dealt the punter for the trade value.

  • That 4th-rounder could turn into the next Seth DeValve!

Thats not true.....they never said they were stripping the roster bare of all highly paid/mature players.....and, just last week, Sashi went on record as saying the were NOT rebuilding and everything they do is in an effort to win....and they are playing to win now....

Lying sack of crap....(and a bad decision maker too)....

Embarrassing your growing" team and fans on a weekly basis is NOT how this team will get better or create a winning culture.....they are immersing all their new talent and rookies in a cesspool of shit......

How many GMs have come out and said "oh yeah this is a rebuild and we are totally going to suck"? The fans would revolt. They want a Superbowl team without any of the growing pains. This roster sucks and will be rebuilt.

The problem is the majority of fans believe the shit he's spewing.

And the worst thing is they drafted Corey Coleman with the 15th pick. You can have 10 picks every year and if you keep drafting mediocre talent, you'll be bad

  • I'm surprised that they traded him. They must be fine with going 0-16 this year because Lee was one of the lone bright spots of the team and was always a good punter for the Browns. In a preseason game I'm not going to TRADE AWAY a dude just because he didn't try to tackle a guy BEING A PUNTER, In a PRESEASON GAME. Kind of knee jerk

I think the FO is......Hue?.....not so sure...

Watch his pressy.....read the words.....and you will see that he is not on the same page as sashi and, I think, is surprised and bummed by what has transpired since his hire...

Of course, he's not gonna say it directly....but it's pretty easy to see his demeanor and hear his words and know he was not prepared for this....

Heck...today he's says they have 2 days to find their next linebacker because his "starter" is no longer on the team....so Ogbah back to olb....but why was Hue calling Kruger "starter" and Ogbah a DE just a few days ago.....???????

I tell you why....cause he;s in the dark about what the FO is doing.....completely....

    Example?....from todays press conf....

On if the Browns have someone in particular in mind to play in Kruger’s position:

“We are working on that. That is what practice was for today to again make sure that we have the right people in the right spots. We will practice again tomorrow, and Thursday we will trot them out there and go at it.”

So...mini camp, training camp, 3 years of tape, and 3 preseason games and they just decided TODAY that Kruger was gone?.....and, IN ALL THIS TIME, have done NOTHING to prepare the next man up????....If Hue knew, then SOMEONE else woulda been playing OLB besides Kruger .......oh, I dont know, perhaps play OGBAH a few reps, eh?....since your "plan" was for him to be the OLB.....Oh, it wasnt your plan?.....what exactly was your plan Hue.....???

Here's another diddy from Hues pressy....

On what areas the Browns need to improve in most:

“Obviously, since we made several changes on defense, we want to keep on looking. I feel pretty good about where we are offensively. I just think we need to fine tune some things and get better at some things. Obviously, there was a starter that was removed from our defensive football team.

A starter "removed" from our defensive football team?....wtf does that mean???......To me, its sounds like a coach who is watching his player vanish without any prior notice or input. ......poof!

Watch the tape....he doesnt smile.....he looks uptight......he refuses to comment on certain things....keeps saying well play what we have....he's vague.....NONE of the normal HUE we've seen in every other pressy ever.....and that is because 1) he sees how bad we are after 3 games.....2) FO is making moves that he's not on board with.....

I remember watch Chud crumble as the season crumbled.....was a broken man(or coach) by years end....

Hues already showing strain and we haven't even started yet.....

    Bad bad bad

Could be. But his tone, to me, didn't sound like he was out of the loop.

I certainly HOPE, that he's not out of the loop. I mean, because if it DOES turn into the same situation that we just had...where the coaches hated the FO (GM in that case) then it's on Haslam yet again. At which point I would have to chant, "No ring for the hand until a new owner that we land".

So, if he's in the loop, he would know Kruger was in line for the first cut....right?

And, this is a fluid process....so they've certainly been grading players all along....not just this week, right?

And the Coach, KNOWING Kruger was gonna get cut and Ogbah would be the OLB, decides to start Kruger all 3 games and play Ogbah at DE only?....with no reps at OLB, even though he is the projected starter?......no reps at OLB during camp either?

    Pffft....

So, Ill make it simple.....either he's not in the loop, which is terrible.....OR......he is in the loop and they are just completely stupid and clueless...

    There. Understand?

  • I understand your point.

    You've made a good case.

    I hope you're wrong.

I thought Ogbah was bouncing back and forth in camp...

  • I think Kruger was the incumbent starter, and after the third game they looked at the tape, and coaches decided they can do better with the young guys. Simple as that.

    Z

  • holy fucking shit...look not that i'm terribly upset about Kruger being let go, frankly it should have been done with the other vets like Dansby and Whitner. But holy fucking shit mudfly is abs right it does sound like Hue and the staff may not have been aware that Kruger was going to be cut. THat is HUGE. I mean that is potentially groundbreaking bullshit. Forget about Jimmy firing Hue after one season....Hue may resign after one season. Seriously no coach anywhere is going to put up with that. If Horton and Hue wanted Kruger to stay, as disappointed as i've personally been in Kruger...he stays, period. It doesn't matter what Fans think. If the coach wants Kruger or any of the players, they stay period end of discussion. Cuts based on salary cap issues happen months ago. You don't spring that kind of a cut on your coach this close to opening day.

THis is beyond bad if indeed Hue was not onboard with Kruger getting cut.

  • believe me this is not about a missed tackle. it's another 'move' that makes these guys seem relevant. these clowns are really pissing me off.
