Funny how politicians get really thrifty when it comes to veterans.

This was a bipartisan shit show.

  • Same old story. We always get fucked.

  • Should have voted for bernie then

  • That's the Dems for ya.

  • That's the Dems for ya.

    "One said:

    That's the Dems for ya.

    The republicans shot it down

  • for good reason. why throw a bunch of money

    at a clusterfook system?

    that's what dems do.

it's a waste of time, too.

"Before we expand that system," argued Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., "what is needed is rigorous oversight and debate about how we're doing what we're doing now...When access is delayed, that's care denied."

All individual parts were agreed upon by congress but when it came time to pass it they decided it wasn't cost effective. Convenient.

  • Gonna go out on a limb and guess that many of the same politicians

that voted against the bill are the same ones who are losing their shit

    over Colin Kaepernick.

  • it isn't cost-effective when it doesn't solve the problems that vets have now.

Fix the other problems, then pass this bill.'

That's what the dems do - exeactly like obamaocare - they pass a bill,

they brag and brag brag and bragbrag and bragbrag and brag brag and bragbrag and brag

    about it.....

but it doesn't do what it's supposed to do, it doesn't solve the problems, and the problems get worse.

    To un-clusterfook it?

Important to define the problems... entering the system was, and still is an issue, in no small part due to incompatible DOD and DVA computer systems chronicled in a 60 Minutes segment IIRC...

Once in "the system" vets' satisfaction ratings are high for both in and out-patient care. One of the sources of dissatisfaction was proximity to care and that was addressed by redefining and clarifying the boundary for requiring VA use vs. private providers.

Coburn was one of the more earnest conservatives in recent memory... wait.... Coburn? He resigned at the end of 2015...

Ah... OP's article is from 2014...

That is a mistake on my part. I just saw that. Someone sent it to me as if it was something new.

Burn the thread down. Nothing to see here folks.
