I am getting by without him/her/it. Assholes trying to push their ideology on others goes both ways so I get why religious people were scared. But I think things go in cycles. I think conservatism will come back into popularity but I don't think it will be attached to a religion.

No doubt about it but the Lord said this would happen before His return. There is always going to be a remnant though. The Lord did not say there would be a big revival going on when He returned but there would be a great falling away. He said it would be a time like that of Noah. I think we are seeing that now.

If I was making up a religion to help control the unwashed masses, I'd say the same thing.

Real Christianity is more than a religion but a relationship but I do believe we are living in the end times and are seeing right now a great falling away from the faith. Many churches today to keep from persecution from the world and in an attempt to get along with the world are taking sides against clear bible teachings such as about homosexuality and abortion and some are even turning against Israel.
I am happy to see every Muslim convert to Christianity but Islam seems to be the religion gaining ground while Christianity is losing ground:
