That is why I say that Dez Bryant will likely be on the chopping block. At this point he may not fit their computer model.
i probably agree. Way too much depth at DE so he'll have to compete with some very good young DT's to see the field much.

Agreed Tia, Danny's not going anywhere. Jobi is a bull-dozing 3tech tank..straight forward..but check out Jobi's tape & watch his lateral foot work/movement? Williams has got some work on him just like any other draftee..but Williams did have his hands on him at senior bowl

You really think williams is going to runnalot of 3-4 looks? I dont see it. Dannys not gonna be lined up over center much if at all imo. Williams is one of the best 4-3 DC's in football,

I think you need to verse yourself on an 'over' call, bud... I'd venture we see it quite a bit.
Even then, playing the nose guard position doesn't mean lining up as a 0tech. He can draw double teams between the center and guard.

4-3 DE for Orchard.....should be a good fit.....(fingers crossed)....and, yeah, lets hope he DOES beat out the older - over paid Bryant.....that would be a sign of improvement on a line that has performed poorly....(consistently).....
Sir Mud, all we got to go on is the last time we saw Orch..It was a preseason game at GB after Hue stated all previous draftees would be re-evaluated..May not mean a thing**** but why was Orch out there still playing with 3rd & 4th on depth chart in 4th qtr??..we shall see, it is not Horton's defense

Both.....A Bryant on the coverage comment.....got burned covering a TE(once) and we cried and cried for weeks(months?) about it....acting as if an OLB shouldnt be asked to cover a TE......

We have a new D-Coordinator, so, all bets might be off.
Much of anything?.....in 6 or 7 starts ever?......started 3 games....did ok.....then came on with 3 sacks in the last 4 games.....so, by my count, he sacked the QB in 50% of his starts, as a rookie.....
Pretty good, if yer askin me....(certainly not cutting material).....of course, with this FO, maybe it is.....

Hmmm....I dont know.....Shashi tends to lose them well ahead of establishing depth or who the replacement might be.....just ask Gipson, Whitner, Kruges, Orchard, Mingo, Hawkins, Gabriel, Hartline, Schwartz, Mack, etc etc etc.....

Cam Johnson.....cut, then signed in week 4 and then installed as starter over Schobert.....

On the numbers game... keep maybe 9 DL? Four pure DTs and DEs and one swingman? And Orchard as a DE/LB swingman helps as well...

-been gone for a week but just got back from Columbus last night, can't wait to get back on here though!~ Super excited about this season. The talent is EVERYWHERE. I fucking LOVE the way this defense is starting to look. And THE OFFENSE!>? Wow, I'm stoked by our young QB group. I think that this could be the best crop of QBs that we've had for a long time. This is sorta draggin on so, yeah; excited, excited, excited!

Greg Robertson says hello..The Hue's war cry was they would all including the Erving's of the world get a chance to prove their worth..Schobert & Cam will be interesting cut desicisions on the FO that drafted them than not..tic tic boom

Thats what i thought the over meant, one gapping the bigger DT, between guard annd center like u said. Is that wrong?

You guys seeem to fail to realize that our entire front 7 (almost) will be switching back to their natural positions in a 4-3. The OP is not news, it was clearly going to happen based on a new system.

ABOUT KIRKSEY AND CROWELL
The Browns believe these two players are ready to make a significant step forward.
Christian Kirksey became a starting linebacker in 2016 and impressed with his energy and toughness. The Browns love his attitude.
While Kirksey declined to discuss his contract situation, I hear the Browns are making progress in signing him to an extension. It's not done. But Kirksey does want to stay. He has one more year on his 2014 rookie contract.
The Browns starting linebackers in the 4-3 defense look like Jamie Collins and Kirksey at the outside linebackers, Demario Davis as the middle linebacker. At least, that's how Gregg Williams opened his defense at the OTA.
