Trump was out of line with his criticism of McCain's war record (especially when Trump never served in the military) but McCain has served as a useful idiot for the liberal MSM for many years prior to Trump. The left wing press always loved McCain and used him as a go to guy to validate much of their criticism of the GOP and McCain was always ready to badmouth his own party. I don't think McCain learned anything either about the liberal media when he ran for president and they turned on him like I knew they would.
