Actually, punctuation and coherent writing style would not have made this post any better. Some of the most intelligent people I have ever met spoke broken English, or very little English. Horrible grammar doesn't detract from a person's point.

In all honesty, I think the person who lacks polish is the one who takes time out his life to correct spelling and grammar, especially in a place designed to trade ideas.

That said, I can give you a more focused version of what the guy said. I am quite able to understand his points.

Kessler has already shown that he does not have what it takes. Hogan, and AssOiler also, we know are not the QB of the future. The only QB the Browns have who potentially could be the QB of the future is Kizer.

What the poster is rightly saying is, a smart coach sends a message.............. KIZER is our future. A smart coach gives Kizer the bulk of the reps and the commitment of the franchise.

Hue Jackson should be, and will be fired this year. He has no fucking clue of who his talent really is. SO he plays political correctness by playing the most experienced guy. That way, when AssOiler fails Hue has something to hide behind.............D'uh he looked the best.

Who the fuck cares who looked the best? YOu got 3 cocksuckers who can't play, and a young kid with a lot of upsides. KIZER shoudl be running the team............ doesn't matter how much he fucks up. Go 1 - 15 again for all I care.... But AT LEAST shoot for the moon for once. Always fucking playing it safe for fear of being blamed for failure.

Hue Jackson is the worst fucking coach in the NFL and the worst Browns coach in our history. Totally in over his head.

Makes you the leader at the Qtr-pole...

I prefer ' leader in the clubhouse ' that way I can be drinking. 🙂

The thing I like about the Ostrich is that he's a tall drink of water. You can't teach tall. Will he be just a repeat of the RG3 experiment? Where ultimately we wasted time on a flame-out QB? - Knowing our luck.....

I anxiously await our first preseason game. Can he move the team with the #1 receivers? What will Kizer look like in his first live action? And can Kessler shake off his scrimmage performance?

Our offense has a lot of questions to answer. Is our OL markedly better with the two new veterans? Will we be able to run the ball better? Has our WR/TE positions been improved over last year? Britt for Pryor and DeValve for Barnidge? Can Njoku perform like a 1st round pick? And of course, do we have a QB that's a worthy starter? - There's a lot we'll learn over the next few weeks. Hopefully it'll be positive and not forgettable.

The hyperbole well that never runs dry...

There's a point where the incremental height "advantage" of each added inch meets the declining "fluidity" and you end up in the realm of "gangly". That's where I see Brock. I can't think of a great QB who was 6'7 or taller, and there aren't many at 6'6.

Alcohol and ibuprofen were my two greatest allies in my playing days...

So....Ill guess that you agree there is a good chance he's gonna be gone......whether Hue wants him or not?

Or.....do you think Hue is BSing and he really doesnt believe Brock gives us the best chance to "score and win"...(his words)....

And....on the Hue consulting with Harvard guys thing.....what do think the convo centers around?......whether Hue can count on Brock being here or who Shashi thinks is best to start?......and why would Shashi input on that, other than a lack of trust in Hues opinion or that he has a plan that conflicts with Hues?

"Mr. Fader, you sure ask a lot of questions for someone from New Jersey!."

First, "Showcase" was a joke. Moving Brock to work against the 1's is not the way to showcase him. Whether he continues in the game against the 2's will be interesting. I still do not like the pressure Hue is generating for this game.

    On your other points:

    • I don't see us trading our regular-season starting QB out from under Hue.
    • I believe Hue. At this point it seems Brock has earned the start that is three days away. It's a long way until regular season.
    • I think there's room in Hue's and his Coordinators' week for a sit down with Department Heads comparing notes on what they are seeing out of every player. There would certainly be room in that to discuss any on-going trade inquires teams are making about any players we have rostered.
    • I would also expect at least Sashi and Berry to be sitting in, but participating very little in, Hue's full staff meetings where players' progress is discussed.
    • DePo and the real Analytics core? They likely tabulate what they see/measure in practice and submit reports daily to Hue as well as key FO.

Sashi & Co. sets the 53. Hue & Co. sets the starting lineup. That hasn't changed. That there is a potential conflict around a player means the conversation must flow. The only thing that can make any disagreement worse is if it is accompanied by surprise.

And in the above linked Houston article is this:

The Brock Osweiler Era officially starts Thursday when the Browns play host to the Saints in the first preseason game.

That era may be short-lived however, as Browns coach Hue Jackson said part of the reason he's starting Osweiler is because Cody Kessler and rookie DeShone Kizer need more playing time.

  • I don't want to sound to negative but you can bet the farm he will throw a pick on his first drive (If we do pass it on the first drive) Mite just be 3 runs but either way his first passing drive he will turn it over. He freaking blows

  • Sounds like Kizer looks just like he did at ND.... brilliant flashes, but cannot hit people consistently.

Windows only get smaller in the NFL.

I hear ya. I haven't paid attention to Brock until we got him....so I'm quite anxious to watch him and see if he looks like a big gawk out there...or like a nfl QB.

There are certainly enough people who are saying he sucks.....but I'd like to formulate my own opinion on him based on what I actually see.

That era may be short-lived however, as Browns coach Hue Jackson said part of the reason he's starting Osweiler is because Cody Kessler and rookie DeShone Kizer need more playing time.

I think he means Kizer. I think he's relegating Kessler to afterthought status in his mind now. But hey, right now it's Brock's job to lose now. Two weeks into TC and Kessler's already lost the job. That leaves Kizer & Colonel Hogan.

I think (I'm doing a lot of thinking here, my head hurts) that Kessler only gets the job back if the Ostrich gets hurt.

  • I don't want to sound to negative but you can bet the farm he will throw a pick on his first drive (If we do pass it on the first drive) Mite just be 3 runs but either way his first passing drive he will turn it over. He freaking blows

I hear ya, O... I saw more than a little Brock last season. He'd look smooth on one drop then like a spaz on the next one. And he ran like McCown...

Pretty big talk with our farms...

  • I just can't believe he is even still on the damn team smh .

Just read an account where trade talk opened with Fins wanting us to eat half Brock's salary and we asked for multiple picks... which is what linked article says...

Apparently it was a short call.

  • @gumby73 said:

I can't get that link to come up, though I see from the link it says something about the Dolphins interested in a trade for B.O. Fill in the blanks.

    Fill in the blanks.

in the shorts, mia. got Cutler for 10M plus possible 3M more in incentives..If we assume multi-able is 2..Mia. wanted Browns to pay more than half of 16M & Browns wanted Multi-able picks back(2?,3?) from Mia. a little murky at this point..MKC is on it

let's make it easy for you

Kessler has sucked all through camp and did not deserve first team reps (Jackson is a fool) and should be fired

kizer should be given every chance possible to show he can be are QB going forward

    doe's that help ?

Happy B-day Mudman!! What are your thoughts on getting the Harvard Connection involved in Hue's decision? Group football decisions should not come from non-football people but this ties to Brock's future surely imo. I think the plan was Kizer at home (2 see where it goes) than showcase Brock on road final 2? I'd almost bet Kizer can't sleep on 1 bad toss up at scrimmage. Enjoy Your Day..

Well....I dont like the idea of consulting the Haavaad guys any more than you do....but think Huey has no choice......and think he is gun shy and afraid to go with Oz, because he knows they will trade him whether Hue wants them to or not....

Thats the issue....I dont think Hue is on board with so many of these moves....but he is a good camper....indeed....

So....my guess....he asks them "if oz does well, can I keep him?"........thats the consult....

Kizer(in his own words) gets in his own head way too much....can sleep, cant play, distracted, etc....thats why he had that shit year at ND....he said it, not me.....

just noticed you live in California ,that explains alot

  • Osweiler is the only qb on the roster that's won an NFL game.

Word from anyone who's been to camp says Kizer is not ready.
