Bottom line.....we've given up one touch down over 3 games....we have 12 sacks......and are stuffing the run.......all of which are unheard of in Browns country......and our DB's aren't very good...
So, as we all hoped, the DL is creating a LOT of pressure and forcing teams to react to that.....which is helping the whole team....
The difference is like a big board hitting you in the face.....do you not see it?.....
And, if you were to ask the coaches, I Garrett Tee you they would say Myles is the best we have....and is a making an impact.....stats be damned....

I'm not sure l would say "stuffing the run", but definitely an improvement. Still getting gashed here and there. Over pursuit may do that. Averaging 3.3 ypc against us.

Well, then he's off to a good start.....Strahan had 3 tackles and 1 sack in his first whole season.....I think Garrett will have that after a game....maybe 2.....(in fact, Strahan had 18 sacks over his first 4 years.....I say Garrett exceeds that in 2 or less)

I cant remember the last 3-0 preaseason start. I know 31 yrs ago was the last 4-0 preseason start.
Kudos the new staff. Nice to see the no quit mentality. Although those guys are trying to make the team they play all 4 quarters hard.
Just remember, preseason record means nothing. Lions went 4-0 preseason, and 0-16 when it counted. Pat's went 0-4, and won the Super Bowl. That said, the Browns do look much improved.

don't make excuses, Garrett's production does not equate to #1 overall pick status. He said himself he wanted to set the rookie sack record. I'm not seeing it and he hasn't even gone up against the best LT's in the league yet. It's Greg William's D that is productive not Myles Garrett.

Its not excuses. Watt has been playing 2nd and 3rd string o lines. Garett has been up against all starters. And he's still establishing his space against them.
You have to have a certain eye for different positions to accurately judge a player. If u didnt play football than sometimes u end up judging players purely on stats. Garett is forcing early throws. He's within a few feet ofbthe QB at delivery more than anyone else on the team.....so time to trade him while his stock is highest right??

never said trade him, just not seeing the best player in the draft talent yet. We've seen this production many times over in the past Warren, Brown nothing special to see here and again I'll say yet. Doesn't mean he wont be, but expected far more production from the once in a decade best player in the draft.

3rd prevseason game mate. And no i dont remember courtney brown being around the qb this much this early. Garett doesnt even look like he's at full throttle either, at leadt not on every play.

Well, it took Javedon Clowney a couple years to start playing up to his #1 overall status. Just hope it doesn't take Garrett that long. It might be preseason, but you can bet teams are making sure they know where Myles is on every play.

Plus I know one of TJ's two sacks was due to a blown blocking assignment. Both occurred in his 1st preseason game.

The rookie did a nice job to disengage from his block to pounce on the free meal. On the second, Watt was unblocked. The play looked like a screw up on the outside by New York on what should have been a receiver screen..."
37 snaps....barely one third of a game.....but. hey, he's not living up to expectation.....(#ridiculoussourgrapes)
Lord... I hope we're not allowing 111 snaps per game. #math

No DL is freed to rush the passer balls out every snap by his DC.
Some DCs may tolerate one of their players "doggin' it", but we don't have one of those.

Lot'a post on Penalties.. They are at a high rate all over the league, so it's not only us. 90 man rosters.. so the refs imo can only tell coaches by flags what they are seeing.. The Browns were flagged 17 times this week by 17 different players.. With 3 being declined..DECLINED= JP Holtz-Holding..C.Pryor=Illegal use of hands..M.Martin=Holding..Consider #1. Penalty the best of any=Delay of Game to seal WIN..That's it..Here's the rest..#2.J.Collins=Encroachment on a FG. Gave TB new set of downs..#3Njoku=False Start..#4.J.Thomas=False Start..#5.C.Coleman=Offensive Pass Interference..#6.D.Kindred=Illegal use of hands..#7.K.Britt=Roughing..#8.D.Alexander=Holding on a punt..#9.M.Garrett=Neutral Zone....We made it to Halftime adjustments with 8 accepted..#10.M.
