Did you know that during the second world war when men and materials were in short supply, the Browns and the Eagles combined into one football team? It's true. They were called the Cleagles.

I’m more concerned with Kizer missing a wide open gordon for a sure touchdown, and yet another strip sack. The defense has been playing like Sheet lately, but the Chargers have averaged 33 points per game over the last 3 and 22 points per game over the season. The Browns held them to 19, which is good enough to win when your rookie QB Doesnt shoot the team in the foot.

what kind of ridiculous non sensical over expectations is this when we expect a rookie defense to hold phillip rivers and the chargers to less than 10 pts? Cause if ur hanging this loss in the def, they would gave had to hold the chargers to less pts than the offense right? Right u numpties?
But per usual our offense is so atrocious it helps the def not one iota. 3 fg's in the 1st half aint half bad for the def against phillip rivers with those wr's and melvin gordon running behind em. That was a top 10 rusher we held to 77 yds and an oversll #8 offense we held to 19 pts

True that, look at how good mccourty did on covering Allen. He had some major stops, and Allen is crazy good. Kizer missed throws all game and held onto the ball too long.

True that, look at how good mccourty did on covering Allen. He had some major stops, and Allen is crazy good. Kizer missed throws all game and held onto the ball too long.

That was quite a feat....considering the Browns were not even founded until after WWII.
Or, maybe they were some kind of secret weapon....not revealed until after the war. Maybe they were part of Project Blue Book.

No Charger punts in the 1st half (just like last week against the Bengals). Greg Williams is a joke and this defense is putrid.

Coverage schemes were ridiculous, and on top of that no scheme covers for the fact that McCourty played worse than a UDFA allowing Hundley to have a perfect rating when throwing to whoever he was covering.
Browns had the lowest pressure rating of any team in the NFL yesterday.. scheme also can't cover for that. Williams did his best by blitzing to create - but again he simply doesn't have the players.
The weakness is talent at all levels of the D, not some magic elixir..
