The first time I lived through a changing of the guard, Jim Brown retired. The emergence of Sipe was a big change for us, as was his leaving. Sam and Sipe in exchange for Bernie and Marty was another, but whew....we wound up being okay. I think the next one was Modell moving the team.

I personally believe we are living in the age of a new Browns franchise, and me, not being blinded by fanaticism, believes there is good reason for this. In the division and Ben, Flacco are getting long in the tooth. I am not sure yet about Ben, but his miracle throws have almost vanished. He is still a physical bastard and his team is in a weird place. I AM however sure about Tom Brady. Only 80's Steeler-type miraculous luck allows Brady to beat Atlanta, and last year, he wasn't enough. This year? He is a ghost. His mental quickness has declined. He is getting hit more and it is NOT the OL. Defenses are not as quick to adjust as I am, but mark my words, this year will be total crap for Tom and the Pats.

But I digress. Fan-masturbation aside, do you think this is a moment in time that is going to mark a new era for the Browns? I do. 2018-19 will be more than just a year in the records. I believe it will be memorable for fans of all 32 teams as it applies to the Browns.

COming in 2019 - 20...............Brownsania (collectable material) in mall stores near you.

Last Thursday night, did we witness a star being born?

If so, then the answer to your question is probably Yes.

A lot of naysayers are claiming the Jets suck and the win means little. But I thought it was the BROWNS who sucked? So,  I guess come Monday when the Browns are 2 -1 - 1, it will be the Raiders who stink, then...... then ........ then..........  The Browns are going to disrupt all the axxhole experts....Like Trump did to the Dildocrats. Baker is the schidt.

...all I know right now is that it was a different friggin' ball game after he came in.  -  For the first time in a decade, we went into half-time losing by double digits and I actually felt that we could still win the game.  Prior to 1:42 left in the half, I didn't think we'd win a game all season.

                Dude,

WTF is it with you people who think that my fanship is based on wins? Honestly, are you not able to comprehend what you read?

I NEVER said I would support the Raiders because I believed they were going to be a great SB champion and rule the NFL. Let me type S L O W L Y    and see if you can keep up. Now, wipe the boogers off your fingers and listen up.

For ME..........Me,  not you, FOR ME.........This team is not the true, authentic Cleveland Browns. That team, FOR ME......... is dead, poof, long gone. Now, I have interest in the fake Browns or whatever you would call them, and I hope they do well. If they clinic and go 14 - 1-1 and then win it all, I will feel the same way. You are not going to see me coming in here on a bandwagon, as if my own, personal existence is elevated because of the Browns success.

                2) I will become a "fan" of the Raydahhs.....not because of wins and losses.............but because I am building a home in Vegas, have friends and customers there, and, as a cool form of entertainment, being at a Vegas Raiders game will be THE place to be.

Don't be a simpleton all your life. Sit up and pay attention. I think the Browns will win Sunday. Rayders 0 - 4? Cool, Browns 2-1-1  OR  1 -2 - 1?  All cool with me.

I don't have a problem with someone picking the team where they live to follow. Many Oilers fans stopped being fans when they became the Titans in Tenn. and have not returned via the Texans. Some have but many also have not. It's a new generation. It's a new team that only shares "Houston" with the old.

I never really had a pro team until I went to grad school in Greeley and watched the Broncos training camp "live" there for free during the summers. BTW I wish we could talk Kubiak to come out of coaching retirement and make this thing really work in Cleveland.

At the same time you all know why I came and I stayed because I have loved the interaction with all the old Browns fans who are still loyal to that name despite all the changes, trials and tribulations. Loyalty to me is a superior quality, like honesty. It can't be bought or sold.

I like to call it the "Transition of Power" in the AFC.

                          Transitioning out:

                          Pittsburgh

                          New England

                          Transitioning in:

                          Jacksonville

                          KC

                          browns

This is based on 3 games.

Pitt's D is the contributing factor to their apparent downfall. A bad D is very untypical of a Steeler team... and NE looks mediocre all the way around.

But it's still early. Remember 2013!!!!...Steelers started 0-4, and the enemies of Steeler Nation believed they were finally witnessing the end of the scourge brought upon them by the Steelers for decades was finally over!

It happens, Stinks, the Steelers gave away a lot of turnovers to the Browns, and then Tampa helpd the Steelers. I just think the Steelers are entering that stale era,  not like our 0 - 16 debacle, but perhaps an 8-8 7-9/ I do think the Browns, now with youth and some real impact players and a QB are going to be a prominent team in the AFC. Interesting times.

CLE can now attract a real head coach with where they are now with Haslam, Dorsey, , Haley, Williams, Baker and the crew.  It's a fairly distinguished group of guys at this point.

Again, why wait?  Close your account here and go onto a Raiders board with your horseschtick.    You obviously do not have to live in the town of the team you glom onto....why should it matter that neither you nor the Raiders are in LV yet.  If the Browns to you are dead and long gone, then why don't you just follow suit....since you are basically dead and long gone to real Browns fans around here.

I NEVER said I would support the Raiders because I believed they were going to be a great SB champion and rule the NFL. Let me type S L O W L Y    and see if you can keep up. Now, wipe the boogers off your fingers and listen up.

That is how Ghoolie thinks.  His thoughts and his perspective are valid and respectable to me.  Jim Brown goes to the team and meets Baker and the new crew.  His perspective is valid as well. The thoughts of the individual are their own.  Why would anybody ever get upset about what someone else might think?

It's like Steelers fans get upset about the stupid shìt that Bradshaw says.  He's 70 years old and has been hit in the head 1,000 times and has been diagnosed with a chronic mental illness. Why would anybody care what he says?

Consider the Ravens, They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable are you to God than the Ravens? Book of Luke, Chapter 12, Verse 24.

If you are suggesting that I am backpedaling on my former statement that the Steelers are one of the best organizations in the NFL, I am not. IN FACT............. if you care to find the thread about Le Veon, I am the first and only one to predict that the Steelers would not miss a step, and that his replacement would do just fine. and, well, the guy is just as good, isn't he?

I was correct about Brady being done, 18 months ago when the Patriots were given the SB with luck. Ben? I am not so sure. The guy is amazing. At times, it seems as though he is not as quick releasing as he once was, but then he makes some plays. As you pointed out, the Steelers are one terrific football player generating machine. My gut tells me this isn't their year, we will see. I think you will at least admit that replacing Ben will be one hell of an achievement.
