The Browns Board

If the Browns to you are dead and long gone, then why don't you just follow suit...

That is how Ghoolie thinks.  His thoughts and his perspective are valid and respectable to me.  Jim Brown goes to the team and meets Baker and the new crew.  His perspective is valid as well. The thoughts of the individual are their own.  Why would anybody ever get upset about what someone else might think?

It's like Steelers fans get upset about the stupid shìt that Bradshaw says.  He's 70 years old and has been hit in the head 1,000 times and has been diagnosed with a chronic mental illness. Why would anybody care what he says?

You are right.  Why should anyone care about the ignorant shite that Ghoolie says.   Thank you for your perspective.

  • Honestly...we are no more than 2 pieces away from a sick awesome offense.

One more quality reciever and a solid OL and we are

    Gold, Jerry...Gold!!

It happens, Stinks, the Steelers gave away a lot of turnovers to the Browns, and then Tampa helpd the Steelers. I just think the Steelers are entering that stale era,  not like our 0 - 16 debacle, but perhaps an 8-8 7-9/ I do think the Browns, now with youth and some real impact players and a QB are going to be a prominent team in the AFC. Interesting times.

    Good points as always Ghoolie.

Well.....a solid offensive line could be  5 pieces.  Please parcel out those positions on the line that you think we need improvement.

If you are suggesting that I am backpedaling on my former statement that the Steelers are one of the best organizations in the NFL, I am not. IN FACT............. if you care to find the thread about Le Veon, I am the first and only one to predict that the Steelers would not miss a step, and that his replacement would do just fine. and, well, the guy is just as good, isn't he?

I was correct about Brady being done, 18 months ago when the Patriots were given the SB with luck. Ben? I am not so sure. The guy is amazing. At times, it seems as though he is not as quick releasing as he once was, but then he makes some plays. As you pointed out, the Steelers are one terrific football player generating machine. My gut tells me this isn't their year, we will see. I think you will at least admit that replacing Ben will be one hell of an achievement.

    Dude,

WTF is it with you people who think that my fanship is based on wins? Honestly, are you not able to comprehend what you read?

I NEVER said I would support the Raiders because I believed they were going to be a great SB champion and rule the NFL. Let me type S L O W L Y    and see if you can keep up. Now, wipe the boogers off your fingers and listen up.

    1) For the 2.119th time.................

I don't have an emotional attachment to this Browns team. I have friends here, and a lot of great memories. For ME..........Me,  not you, FOR ME.........This team is not the true, authentic Cleveland Browns. That team, FOR ME......... is dead, poof, long gone. Now, I have interest in the fake Browns or whatever you would call them, and I hope they do well. If they clinic and go 14 - 1-1 and then win it all, I will feel the same way. You are not going to see me coming in here on a bandwagon, as if my own, personal existence is elevated because of the Browns success.

    2) I will become a "fan" of the Raydahhs.....not because of wins and losses.............but because I am building a home in Vegas, have friends and customers there, and, as a cool form of entertainment, being at a Vegas Raiders game will be THE place to be.

Don't be a simpleton all your life. Sit up and pay attention. I think the Browns will win Sunday. Rayders 0 - 4? Cool, Browns 2-1-1  OR  1 -2 - 1?  All cool with me.

The first time I lived through a changing of the guard, Jim Brown retired. The emergence of Sipe was a big change for us, as was his leaving. Sam and Sipe in exchange for Bernie and Marty was another, but whew....we wound up being okay. I think the next one was Modell moving the team.

I personally believe we are living in the age of a new Browns franchise, and me, not being blinded by fanaticism, believes there is good reason for this. In the division and Ben, Flacco are getting long in the tooth. I am not sure yet about Ben, but his miracle throws have almost vanished. He is still a physical bastard and his team is in a weird place. I AM however sure about Tom Brady. Only 80's Steeler-type miraculous luck allows Brady to beat Atlanta, and last year, he wasn't enough. This year? He is a ghost. His mental quickness has declined. He is getting hit more and it is NOT the OL. Defenses are not as quick to adjust as I am, but mark my words, this year will be total crap for Tom and the Pats.

But I digress. Fan-masturbation aside, do you think this is a moment in time that is going to mark a new era for the Browns? I do. 2018-19 will be more than just a year in the records. I believe it will be memorable for fans of all 32 teams as it applies to the Browns.

COming in 2019 - 20...............Brownsania (collectable material) in mall stores near you.

All ya have to do is hit on your draft picks Tommy. When you gonna admit Garrett is way more than a Zumba Instructor? Then we get Ward- stud. Ain't gonna anoint Baker after one decent win. But then Dorsey ships out Gordon for yet another violation of team rules. Big John hits on Callaway and Avery- and that's the best Draft the Browns have had since Ozzie and Matthews way back in '78?

Regarding the Pats- Kraft Cheese is making a mistake letting Brady "he's like a son to me" tell him what to do. Billy Boy knows the score, and wanted to keep Garrapolo.  Roberto  wants to get Brady to one last SB, and he just might not be good enough to do it anymore- even with Gordon. Billy cut Bernie due to "diminishing skills" Tom may just might have hit the age wall, time will tell.

PS & BS. Pre draft, I had the opinion Baker might be the second coming of Drew Brees. We'll see how that turns out.

I think Brady is done. Frankly, the writing is on the wall. The question is whether the organization would have the guts to possibly release him. And from what I've heard in the media over the past year, such a decision will be the owner's call.

As for Baker becoming Drew Brees, that's quite a stretch right now. Way too early.

I like it better than my former favorite, Zaya. Zaya has fallen a bit since it was purchased and moved. It is hard for me to compare what my initial taste of Zaya was to Diplomatico today. However, I think even at it's best, I would have put Zaya second to the Diplomatico. Have you tried the more refined Diplomatico? It is about 70 bucks. I think my next bottle will be that.

No bud, you were not right. Before the AFC championship game in 2017 (the 2016 season), you said that Brady was done, would never win another playoff game. You didn't say he may win a game if he gets lucky, etc. You said NEVER WIN ANOTHER PLAYOFF GAME. He proceeds to win that game. He then goes for another Super Bowl. But hey, let's give you the benefit of the doubt, perhaps you meant after that season.

2017 season (thus 2018 playoffs), Brady wins the MVP. He then goes on to win 2 more playoff games, and put up the a PLAYOFF record in yards in a 8 point loss in the Super Bowl. He also put up the most points in a loss in Super Bowl history. The defense lost the SB for New England, not Brady.

Could Brady be done, its possible. I wouldn't bet on it. Even if he is, not even close to in the parameters that YOU SET.

As for all the other things you have said, from DAY ONE you have had horrible things to say about Dorsey. Now that the Browns have shown a little success you are proclaiming you said otherwise, NOPE.

At least I have figured out why the OL are the source of your venom a lot. They are the ONLY ones you could remotely compare yourself to. And you still can't come close to measuring up.

And since you managed to get yourself put in timeout you didn't get the opportunity to respond to a few things.

You complain and make fun about these guys going to the owner about you. So you say you want to buy the board. A fan board for a team you claim to not care about. And if you purchased it, you would permanently ban them because you dont like what they say. POT MEET KETTLE.

You also have went on and on about how you are always right and that the Browns FO is SO STUPID for not taking the top playmakers. So I compiled those for you, the TOP PLAYMAKERS TAKEN AT THE TIME OF THE BROWNS PICK. Notice that these were not taken by the Browns except on 1 occasion, so either taken with Browns traded pick, or next playmaker.

    2009- Percy Harvin

    2010- CJ Spiller

    2011- Julio Jones

    2012- Trent Richardson

    2013- Tavon Austin

    2014- Sammy Watkins

    2015- Devante Parker

2016- Paxton Lynch ( I gave you the guy you said the Browns should take at 2)

    2017- Mitch Trubisky

You cant use the argument that they weren't the right guys, as that has not been your argument. Your argument has been that they didn't take the top playmakers available when they drafted. Those are without a question the top playmakers taken at the time.

And had the Browns listened to you at the past draft, there would be no stud Ward on the team. As you said the Browns should take Barkley and Ridley, and trade the future to get their QB. Of course you mentioned Lamar Jackson, then Baker Mayfield, then Rosen.

Keep lying to yourself pal, but do you really have to subject us to your self lies to make yourself feel better? Over something you don't care about.

Again, I was absolutely right. I appreciate your reading me, and being a fan of mine. I also thank you for re-affirming that I was the first one to tell you that Brady was done, and he is. That his decay took a few weeks longer doesn't detract from my amazing insight.

Regarding draft picks, he we followed my picks, we would have Petersen, Big Ben, Julio Jones, and more. You are what my Father would call...a jackoff, in fact, you are a jackoff. You can't just go back to 2009...Had the Browns followed my prescription since 1999 they would have had a SB win by now. Drafting Big Ben would mean Lynch and Trubisky would not have been an issue....AND............................ we would not have needed Baker.................... We would have Ben................ and a lot of BETTER draft picks..............

ALSO................. My suggested QB have included  Big Ben, Wentz/Goff, Phillip Rivers............... ALL THOSE PICKS performed better than 100% of the Bronws QB picks from 1999. If I was the Browns GM, the QB hunt would have been over long, long, long ago...................... AND...................we would have won 1 or 2 superbowls.

I would not say I am God-like. BUT.............. I am more accurate than any living expert or personnel executive in the NFL. Of course I have missed a few...... but I have been more accurate than all the posters here, and all the experts.   Bow vermin, Bow to your Master........... Kiss my ring............... I am king.

I thought it was a possibility, but not everyone is familiar with that word. First hand experience helps. ?‍♀️?

Plus I kind of read it wrong. I thought you were saying that if he would ever meet you he wouldn't say schidt, just GTFO Puta. ....................My Bad.?

So how did you like the Diplomatico?

I like it better than my former favorite, Zaya. Zaya has fallen a bit since it was purchased and moved. It is hard for me to compare what my initial taste of Zaya was to Diplomatico today. However, I think even at it's best, I would have put Zaya second to the Diplomatico. Have you tried the more refined Diplomatico? It is about 70 bucks. I think my next bottle will be that.

There are actually a couple or 3 that are higher level. The highest (Ambassador) will put you back about $250. I can get that here, but I'd rather not put that much into a single bottle when I could get 7 Riservas for that kind of money. The other you may be looking at is the Single Vintage (I don't have it here). Or possibly one of the two Batch Collections running around $80. I can't get those here either. Which one are you looking at?

Anyway I'm glad you like the Reserva Exclusiva. Just all I could ask in a sipping rum. This Xmas I am going to try another one from Venezuela, Santa Teresa 1796. I'll taste it side by side with the Diplomatico like I have done with others that were just not quite as good to my taste.
