They are process crimes per the definition of a process crime. I'm not defending Stone if he is guilty just saying this is more evidence that there is nothing (yet) behind the reason for the Mueller investigation of Russian collusion but people are getting caught up in process crimes due to the investigation.

Dude, go read what he's accused of...

"In an indictment unsealed Friday, the special counsel disclosed evidence that a top campaign official in 2016 dispatched Roger J. Stone, a longtime adviser to President Trump, to get information from WikiLeaks about the thousands of hacked Democratic emails. The effort began well after it was widely reported that Russian intelligence operatives were behind the theft, which was part of Moscow’s broad campaign to sabotage the 2016 president election."

Its process alright, the process of collusion.

  • let me guess, one sided hear-say bs rambling nonsense. Am I right?

Mueller makes a lot of story telling.  Everything he's charged with happened after Mueller was put in as Special Prosecutor.

He was dispatched to obtain the emails from wiki leaks. If thats true, thats pretty self exolanatory. And "top official" is likely one of trumps boys

I'm not sure that is even a crime if true. It might be dirty politics but news flash the Clinton campaign was chock full of dirty politics. If Stone was going to wikileaks to get dirt on Clinton how is that any different than the Clinton campaign who were dealing with a foreign spy who gave them fake information on Trump which started this whole investigation as well as being used to get FISA court warrants to spy on an American citizen. This whole thing is so one sided it is beyond belief.

Because he cant claim he didnt know it was the russians that gave wikileaks the emails. So in essence he went to the russians. If this happened after the gen election it actually makes this worse. Because then tbey cant deny outright collusion. They feigned ignirance in the beginning, "we're outsiders we didnt know". But during the gen election its documented tbet were explicitly told dont touch this shit. But it appears they did. Mueller is also investigating potential acts of collusion from 17 and 18......inconceivably.

There is always an excuse for uncle Donny, everyone not Trump is of poor character if they turn on him,  no one wants to logically follow where Mueller is eventually taking this with the unindicted co-conspirator "Individual #1" and if none of that works let's just pretend "process crimes" are legal for everyone, don't count and cannot be used as the springboard to "real crimes". Totally laughable. ?

Mr. Rohrabacher made the comment in a interview with Breitbart Radio published online Thursday in which he spoke about his August 2017 visit to the Ecuadorian Embassy in London."

When you're testifying to Congress under oath and you get caught lying to them, you're going to have a bad time.

    This shit isn't rocket science.

No problem with those lying to congress facing consequences. I'm speaking about those who lied to congress without consequences and the selective prosecution:

Sarah Sanders asks the correct question after Stone's indictment:

When will the FBI surround the homes of & arrest, "Hillary Clinton, James Comey, James Clapper? People we know have also made false statements [to the FBI] - will the same standard apply?"

    100% correct.

THE DOUBLE STANDARDS OF THE MUELLER INVESTIGATION

Yeah...remember when the Attorney General lied under oath to congress?

    What happened to Eric Holder?

    Oh...that’s right...nothing.

CNN claims it was just a hunch, a journalists intuition that prompted them to be at Stone's residence with cameras ready an hour before the raid. Sure, right. That is about the kind of answer I would expect from CNN.

  • More process crimes created by Mueller.

Roger Stone arrested by FBI on Mueller probe on alleged ‘process crimes’ ; not charged with colluding with Russians

Stone is charged in a seven-count indictment with what are called “process” crimes – that is crimes that have nothing to do with crimes under investigation but were allegedly committed during the process of the investigation.

Stone is charged with witness tampering, obstruction and false statements about his interactions related to the release by WikiLeaks of allegedly hacked emails during the 2016 presidential election. Some of those alleged false statements were made to the House intelligence committee, according to the indictment.

Stone is not charged with colluding or coordinating with the Russian government’s election interference in 2016, the key matter under investigation in the Mueller probe.

In the 19 months he’s been at work, Mueller has not yet indicted any American for collusion with Russians to interfere with the 2016 presidential election.
