Sounds good, we take ALL of our VISA reward points as restaurant gift cards for gifts or our treats have about $300 in my drawer now. Ummmmm, need to get busy on those.

Had a really good GAMEDAY meal before yesterday's INDIANS game, sirloin steakburgers about 1/3 pounders on the grill with American cheese lettuce and whatever, baked beans, potato salad and my weak moment treat plain ol' potato chips to snack on during the game......I could eat a bag full of them but have to quit.
Sometimes simple can be nice. The grillin' life.
......oh we haven't had one our favorites Wedgewood Pizza since maybe February, on the list plus a pile of unused gift cards to The Olive Garden and others maybe a Sunday GAMEDAY meal.

I can't believe the Itpaalians out in the Mahoning Valley haven't firebombed Olive Gardens... ?
But everyone else is filling up the parking lot it's always packed!
And we know that you can not beat the good ol' ma & pa restaurants in the MV area. (see the MV pizza cook-off for some names)

Need some quick and cheap GAMEDAY food? (I can hear Dutch getting his car keys now.
)
Well now that I'm off of all of that healthy hospital food back to good ol' GAMEDAY food.
MLB is still in full swing and what's better than some hot dogs with the game as the TRIBE is trying to recapture first place!
........high school football starts in just five weeks!

I don't eat there that frequently....but I would love for mjp to send me his OG gift certs. so that I can use them here locally. My wife would appreciate it more than I.
Just from my desk drawer most all are $50s and not the ones in my wife's purse or the ones I have not sent for yet.
Give me your number and I will fax you a few.

If you're not in the Raleigh- Durham metropolis or maybe Winston- Salem, I'd agree you're SOL. Mustard is one of the many things I don't like- so Carolina barbecue that's mustard based is a no-go for me.
BTW, as to hot dogs- those "World Famous" hot dogs they serve up at Tony Packos in Toledo are layered in some of their meat sauce, onions and cheese optional. I just order 'em up plain, but the wife (Toledo native) orders 'em with the works. But really order some "to go" and a few hours later you have a soggy mess that I wouldn't touch. PS Packos does serve up a pretty tasty roast beef hot shot.

We were in Traverse City, MI & Indian River, MI a few weeks ago. Stopped at Tony Packo's (Jamie Farr was there a few days prior) & also Tony's in Birch Run, MI (one of my "bucket list" destinations) for that BLT with a pound of bacon on it. Ate 1/2 there & 1/2 the next day. Next year I'll get it on rye. LOL

One slice of tomato is visible in the picture, & there was another slice or 2 under all that bacon. They also serve it with an xtra cup of mayo. I asked for "light lettuce".

I hate Tony Packos. That's not a hot dog for one.

I agree it is not your normal hot dog, but it IS unique & those are the places that become "must stops" for many of us. They are definitely different destinations. Certainly worth checking out. The original (on Front St in Toledo) is the one to head for.

Depends on how strictly you want to define a "hot dog"... Call it a Hungarian sausage dog if you insist.
FWIW, it took me years of getting dragged into Packos by the relatives before I finally realized what the fuss about the place was. All those celebrity autographed buns on the walls say it's a must stop when in Toledo. I can certainly see why someone wouldn't like their menu at all. Sort of the same way I was underwhelmed stopping at the original & nationally famous Arthur Bryant's BBQ in Kansas City many years ago. A hole in the wall place with presidents autographs on the wall.

Agreed Mike. The original one on Front Street is the one to head to if your have a choice.

From the Food Network best hot dogs in all 50 states in Ohio it's from Cleveland! https://www.foodnetwork.com/restaurants/photos/best-hot-dogs-in-america
Polish Boy, Banter (Ohio)
Ohio has strong dog-centric culinary traditions, including Cincinnati chili dogs. Back in the 1940s, the Polish Boy emerged on Cleveland's fast food scene. It's a stack of coleslaw, barbecue sauce, hot sauce and a pile of fries loaded atop a smoky Polish-style kielbasa in a sturdy hot dog bun. It can be found all around the Rock and Roll Capital of the World, but one of the best examples is sold at Banter, a new-school sausage and poutine shop on the near west side.
Or from the 10 best list in Ohio. https://bestthingsoh.com/hot-dog-joints/
Number 2 is from Cleveland.
