2015 QB Draft Watch

  • No QB in this years draft stands out, which is good. Plus Farmer doesn't believe in measureables so maybe Papa Smurf wil be a free agent.

  • Cardale Jones, this place never ceases to amaze. Browns fans would draft a fucking turd if it wore an Ohio State jersey, oh wait they did his name was Brian Robiskie.

Did you read anything anyone actually wrote about him? Or did you just see his name and get so excited to make an Ohio State quip that you fumbled a dumb response all over your titties?

While stopping short of calling you a Retard - just about EVERYONE thought that was a match made in Heaven with Robo. Kid had a productive career, son of an NFL coach,

great hands and ran crisp routes. Only thing that kept him from being a 1st round pick was having that elite top end gear. Things just didn't work out. He was given positive grades by scouts across the league.

Strangely enough, had we drafted Hartline in the 4th, you'd probably still be bitching.

edit: Cardale has a very long way to go. But he has the physical tools you crave in an NFL QB. That much cannot be denied.

  • Take a shot on Hundley in the second. The guy makes NFL throws and is hella athletic. He's raw, but with some refining he could be a stud.

I fully believe Ray Farmer will take a qb in this draft and I believe he'll take one in any round he feels necessary. Hundley could be the best bet for a second round pick. Outside of an amazing combine he could definitely find himself going early on Day 2.

  • If Jones entered the draft I could see an organization take a flyer on him as a project. Sit him three or 4 years behind Bitch Ben. He can easily make every throw at nfl level and at 6'5 250 lbs he's as big as ur linebackers.

????????? are you seeing things? besides, tell me how that would be possible?

bullshit. i'll take any of 5 over what the browns have on their roster now.

hundley might be gone by the second depending on what teams draft QBs. he'll prob be rated third depending on his #'s coming out of the combine and pro day etc.

  • To me the best QB pro prospect is Winston. He has all the size, strength, and arm talent. He has played in a more pro style offense then the others

He is an idiot off the field for sure, so that should hurt him, but as far as on the field talent, he's better then all the others.

and that's why he'll never be a cleveland brown.

we already have one of those.

SO ifJones beats up Wisconsin, Alabama, and Oregon on the way to a National Championship and enters nfl drafted , rightfully so. U won't even take a second look at him? That's stupid. Size, big arm, elusive, and can take the punishment of nfl caliber defense. That's a bit of bias I guess??

He wins Championship he should come out.

If I'm J.T Barrett I'm demanding to be starter day one or I'll transfer........ to Michigan..

The difference is ours is shrimpy and can't play.

    no doubt.

shoulda coulda woulda waited until this year to draft the franchise guy.............

just saying. there were a lot of us here that said we didn't need to draft a qb last year.

No the running game beat up Wisconsin and Alabama. He completes 58% in college, he is no where near a pro-QB but he does wear an Ohio St jersey

He's also from Cleveland, so he must be GREAT!

  • Here are a couple guys that fit my mold for a Browns QB and both could be good late round picks for a development project.

#1) Sean Mannion...Oregon St....6'-5" -220 lbs....rocket arm AND some smarts....broke all of DA's records...he's my favorite and could be had for a mid to late round pick I think(4-5-6 ish)

Heres one of his game tapes....

#2) Connor Halliday....Washington State....6'-4"....200lbs....monster arm...excellent ability to read D's....needs some fine tuning and a little meat on dem bones.....another good project....hate to mention DA again, but kinda like DA physically

Here's a good game tape of him breaking the NCAA passing record....nice!

I think both these guys looks like good values in the later rounds....AND they have all the measurables....

  • Great call Mudfly but Farmer's comments in the post-season presser that he doesn't believe in measureables scares me.

    vs. Wisconsin 12-17 257 yards 70.6% completion 3 TD's 0 INT

    vs. Alabama 18-35 243 yards 51.4% completion 1 TD 1 INT

Yeah, you're right. Jones had absolutely no effect against either of those teams.

You're a fucking bum, get out of here.

  • so what are the teams that are definitely going to draft QB first round this coming draft?

    tamp bay

    tennessee

    chicago?

    houston?

    buffalo in the second?

  • and after watching the first wild card game...........arizona?

  • No way will we draft another QB this year. Tyler Thigpin is our insurance policy. If Hoyer is gone jff and Shaw will compete for back up position. If Manziel goes Hoyer and Thigpin will compete for starter. If Thigpin and Hoyer or Manziel are gone we will look at FA market. Somebody has to go. No way will we go into next season with Manziel,Shaw and another rookie Qb. Who will it be.

    GO BROWNS !
