You know, right now I am going back and forth on the idea that maybe this is what the Browns needed. all these "good" players we are letting go sure came together as a shitty football team last year. Maybe it is time to really hit he reset button-but it is also the browns so this is probably a huge mistake.

Adhering to the "build through the draft and maintain your core players" mantra is what some are upset about, Schwartz was a key young player. Thanks.

I agree with everything said on the ESPN podcast posted on the Browns page after Schwartz signed.

They may have a "idea" about value, but the increase of the cap appears to have shocked/amazed them at the contract sizes signed on the market.

Other than KC deal is a 5-yr job, not seeing details on $$$... yet...

Rumor is that the Browns may have pulled the offer to Schwartz because they have their eye on a different ROT that would actually be a better deal for them....analytics wise. (maybe one of the guys listed above?)

So, e.g., they may feel they can get a guy just about as good as Schwartz for a couple of million or so per year less.
