just use the last games as an audition for the rookie QBs. McCown has proved time and time again to be a loser. He's a great guy and tough, but he's just not fast enough to be an effective QB and has a glaring tendency to turn the ball over at crucial times. He'd be a good coach someday but his best playing days are behind him.

Size and speed are secondary traits that a QB needs. You're missing out on the important things that Hogan lacks.

The Browns offense finally finds the end zone! nice pass protection. Still would like to see Hogan over McCown though, at this point McCown would have to lead 3 more scoring drives this game to change my mind.

True, with Hogan in we will most likely lose. With McCown in, we will most likely lose. One of these QBs has the potential to develop, and the other is 37 years old. Pick your poison, neither QB gives us a decent chance to win but I would like to see what we have on the bench.

In the NFL if you are banking on evaluating who can possibly be your future backup or 3rd string QB you don't deserve to play on Sunday

McCown just had to lose another fumble, why not.

when you are a winless team, have more fans from the visiting team than the home team in your stadium and have been losing games by 10+ points every week and consistently give up in the 4th quarter you don't deserve to play on Sunday.

If the games were at least close it wouldn't be so bad, the last few games have been very depressing. I get it, we're in a rebuild year but every year is a rebuild year with this team. this team is going nowhere, there has been zero improvement week to week. Offense has been ineffective, defense gets gassed because they're on the field way too much. I honestly do not think things will get worse with Hogan at this point or even RGlass3. McCown is obviously playing hurt, he gets smacked around nearly every play and he always falls apart by the second half. Do you honestly think this team is going anywhere with McCown?

Not at all but Hogan maybe one of the worst passers I've ever seen put an NFL jersey on and he has zero command of the offense. I don't know how much of the game you watched but Pryor was getting visibly pissed on the sidelines and this is a guy who could've been out of the league this year, imagine how Collins, Kirksey & Thomas feel. Next week you want to throw a watered down, less talented, Johnny Manziel in there? This is a guy lower than Charlie Whitehorse in the eyes of the guys evaluating him.

Am traveling but caught the game at 20-13. I see obj being guarded by a backer to score a wide open TD.

But please, tell me how horton doesnt bear responsibility for schemes again.

No one is saying Horton is completely blameless, I think the point is the lack of talent is the real issue. If we were evaluating coaches based on scheme and results Hue Jackson would be cleaning out his office as we speak, he is consistently bad.
