So much is made about measurables - 40 time, arm length, long jump, shuttle time, yada, yada, yada, yada, yada..... There are only two things that make the great players great, and it's their heart and brain.

So while everyone - or at least most, like to geek out on his 'freakish physical measurables', if he doesn't have that certain something burning deep inside of him that few have, then it will all be for not.

I'll wait a while to buy a ticket to his HoF induction ceremony.

I've certainly read others warning signs on this guy. Several have said he takes plays off. I believe he said no one plays hard every play. Declining interviews to me is a flag too. If he can't deal with a little adversity for an interview how does he react to a bad game? Bad local press?

Thats a good point to bring up. He canceled an interview apparently because of someone who had spoken poorly of him in the past (about his play I believe). It just seems to me the guys that beat the shit out of people on the field would normally be the ones to speak with someone like that and challenge their talk on record, but that may just be me.

Foster is the best player in this draft on the field.

Sorry, i heard the "exact"same bullshit about bosa last year.

"I just got this feeling man!!!".

Im in no mood to watch garett go get 10 or more sacks for another defense

Bosa was a better player than Garrett. Not as high a ceiling, but better player.

Honestly i wouldnt mind taking garett this year even if we had taken bosa last year, those two would be unfair on the same front 4. However, think what we could command this year with the 1st?

It'll be interesting to see how that all plays out for sure

my top 3 on my board

    #1 Allen

    #2 Lattimore

    #3 Garrett

agree with Sapp elite pass rusher if you are a 4-3 team and need a rde but a one trick pony

Solomon Thomas DE/DT Stanford was a 10 at the combine but only produced slightly above avg at Stanfordf...sort small for a dt,doesn't run an elite arc at de so I'd guess solid 5 tech with avg production

Hey Sapp - your rant works better if you substituted your "financial acumen" for Myles Garrett. Bankrupt MF.

Garrett will be a great player if and when the Browns can schedule Prairieview for just about every game. Otherwise I think Warren Sapp may be right.

I don't see anything wrong with cancelling interviews.

Can get you in trouble sometimes.

I feel like we will shake things up and draft Trubisky.

He will sit for a year

    We draft OJ Howard,

Go defense the rest of the way

Too late. The Browns defense needs stars, and those are only available in the first round.

The same reason that guys - who for what ever reason, couldn't even start on their college teams become NFL studs..... There are no guarantees that any college kid, regardless of his measurables, will succeed at the next level.

If college performance consistently translated to the NFL mock drafts and the months of discussions would be non existent.

Exactly.....but its all we have to rate them by and it's what every one does.....and no guarantees either way....ever

Which is why it's stupid for anyone to claim their guy is best base upon college perf, while claiming another guy sucks because college doesnt prove anything...which is where a lot of these threads end up.....

All you can do is factor an educated guess.....and dwerps that claim to know "with certainty" that any player will fail or succeed are just that....dwerps...

    Carry on....
