if it's short of 5 yards from the LOS and it's not a hold/grab/tug whatever and the ball isn't in the air, no it's not a penalty.  You can make a contact with a reciever like that.  The rules are very clear on that.

Unless the ball is thrown to said receiver and the contact impedes his ability to catch the ball. The rules are even more clear on that.

*if* the ball is in the air. It wasn't.  you are making rules up.  It cant be pass interference because the ball wasnt thrown yet.  Thats where you 'impedes' argument comes in.  You can't call PI on a ball that hasnt been thrown.  And it cant be illegal contact(what I guess you are arguing for) because the contact was within 5 yards.   And it can't be defensive holding because there was no hold.  Please show me this rule about 'impedes ability to catch the ball' before the ball is thrown because it doesnt exist and thats why you can't cite it.

This is far from over, The Viks are going to get 2 more touchdowns, The refs will be sure of it

We're 0 - 8 because of Haslam, not the refs.

He stinks because the defender got his hands between him and the ball?  Wow!

  • Who thought he was better than Parky or whatever his name was?

You mean Cody Parkey, kicking for the Fins?

Yeah, he’s currently 8 out 9 on FG’s on the year.

The ball was literally going over the head of the guys when we ran into him. Are you watching the game? Trent green said that was a missed call, because it was.

Here you go: http://www.nfl.com/rulebook/passinterference go ahead and take time to read it. Or do you need more citation

It really is a moot point since Treggs of Society was wide open and Kizer didn't see it and if he did they would've called the obvious pick Devalve set

So... what? 33-19 final score? 40-23?

Or the Browns make it close?

  • medicinemanM medicineman wrote on last edited by

I swear the refs love to make it harder for us and to kick us when we are down. PI on like what 3 or 4 plays now, then a roughing the passer? Give me a break When will they start giving us calls? They never call PI  when it happens on us,

No he stinks because he is a first round project who doesn't win 50/50 battles or make routine catches.

And he is better than what we have. We had him but kept a kicker who can't kick

now we see what the Browns are made of, plenty of time on the clock to get 2 TDs for any decent NFL team.  Why does scoring 2 TDs seem so insurmountable for the Browns?
