Are you saying he may be dumped even without a trade?

    Yep.

The Bucs need space just to sign rookies. General consensus is he and, or JPP are gone. They need approx 9-11 mil depending upon who you believe to sign their draft class.

Indeed they do, maybe dump both. They're at a negative $13 million according to Spotrac, dumping McCoy at least clears that up.  The scary thing from a Browns perspective is with all the (pricey) talent Dorsey brought in- is we can finally say "We're #1!!!"   in active contract dollars. Not kidding.

The amazing thing is Jason Licht still has His GM job with Bucs considering he has a 27-53 record during his tenure with the Bucs AND has guided them into Cap Hell..

I am a Bucs and Browns fan.. I have much higher hopes for the Browns this yr.. The league has already apologized to the Bucs for their schedule this yr 🙁 They are away from home for 6 weeks including 2 west coast trips and a fooking home game in London..  Week 3, The Browns will beat the Bucs in Tampa.

He's not what he used to be but he's still a solid player.. Just doesn't fit the new scheme and certainly not for $16 mil..

He could help the Browns tho

jay glazer thinks 7-9M he will go to a team set-up to win now. McCoy waffled that volley with, he wants to play 3 to 4 more years.. there's some 'agent up' talk for ya

So.. we sit 4th in cap space 33.3M..#3 the 49'ers= 35.3M..#2 the Texans= 41M & Indy #1 with = 58.5M..Some rookies are not all signed, so numbers may flux. The Colts certainly do have a need at DT & their media is all over this already.. McCoy has been working out in Cali & is ready to roll..Most Vet Camps don't start till June..stay tuned

OBJ said “Cleveland” on the reported news?  It wouldn’t hurt to add a guy like McCoy at the right price

it would make our DL rotation stupid. Plus it would also allow us to run 34 looks...have a few games where Myles and Vernon aren't in there all the time. We have a big 2 gap NT so those 3 DL rotating in would be a nice change of looks and give some of our 43 guys a break on reps.

Bucs have signed his replacement quick enough, bringing in Suh on a one year deal

Not many 2019 "contenders" with McCoy cap space... maybe Eagles or Seahawks.

Then it's a handful of "teams on the rise".

  •  This would make all the sense in the browns world, why we did not draft a DT.  Not much sense in TB. 1) Bucs did not draft or add a FA DT to replace McCoy. 2) Added 3 LB's in FA period. And grabbed the best LB in the draft Devin White to play behind McCoy to keep off said LB'ers. 3) Bucs drafted zero, much needed RB help either..McCoy is 31..

    I would be very surprised.

Why does this McCoy mess have New England at a low price written all over it? 🙁

Didn't they just resign Danny Shelton?

Question is- how are they going to afford him? PR move?

Details of Shelton's resigning -- summary: 1 yr for the veteran minimum plus some small potential bonuses.

2019 Shelton is now your Jeopardy answer to the question "Who Replaced Ted Karras On The Pats Roster"

Pats just resigned Edelman & Shelton.(team friendly of course, just as J. Collins) Brady was up next but man they are expecting more chicken salad from Scarneckia now with both Tackle positions very slim..If McCoy wants to start & play he goes to Saints,Colts,Rams or Philly next to Flecher Cox (what a nightmare) He could choose rotational teams, with about 5 more clubs including us..

I agree with Myles. Besides, if all he wants to do with go with a team that is winning already ....heck with him.

Dude played 9 years for a doormat team, who thanked him by releasing him. Once money is made, what's wrong with wanting a ring?
