The Official 2026 NFL Draft Thread

I would love this to happen.
Can you imagine getting an SEC team out of their own backyard for the playoffs?
Especially like Columbus or Ann Arbor in December or January?
Already saw that with the Vols coming to Columbus.

Even though Missed Again fans were re-watching Legally Blonde & Ken and Barbie movies with @mld-woody during the last 2 rounds of CFP - the higher ups in Ann Arbor greased the right fannies & paid the right dirt-bags 3 years ago for me to say the Big 10 Won the last 3 National Championships.
All that said, understanding how easily SEC schools like Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Florida, etc seemed to have the highest volume of top recruits every year - did Nick Saban just decide he was going to be unbeatable as soon as he left Michigan State or did he have a little access to double-secret player salaries going on when he arrived at LSU and later on again at Alabama? When we think about it, the end of Clemson's ability to compete with the elite began when Kirby Smart landed at GA. Impact? All of the top high school players in GA stopped leaving their home state to go play at competitive places like Clemson. Consequently, Swinney's team/program took it on the chin. It sure looked like Smart brought what he learned about taking a program to a higher level from Saban to GA. Reality is as soon as other conferences were allowed to pay players the chants of "S-E-C, S-E-C, S-E-C" aren't heard nearly as frequently after someone from the midwest intercepted that southern little "I've got a secret."
Let's slap a positive spin on this stuff; because @mld-woody and his classmates/buddies up in Ann Arbor are looking to provide emotional support and constructive alternatives to disappointed college football fans in lieu of watching the College Football Playoffs. I bet they make adorable little angels in the snow that time of year so stay tuned...

FWIW, Mason Graham is a GREAT kid now that he lives in Ohio during football seasons. I appreciate the movie tip though Woody. Check out the movie "Overcomer" - you can stream it on Tubi and it's available on other streaming providers. Once it gets going, it never stops getting better and going places you didn't see coming.

The Greatest Showman is fantastic as well if you haven’t seen that. And yes, Jackman can really sing.

I just can't imagine Hugh Jackman singing... But a lot of Actors have outside talents... Gary Sinise for example plays bass and has the Lt Dan band..

That’s pretty cool. The old made for tv version of The Stand in the 90s is a personal favorite. It stars Gary Sinise.
Yeah, Jackman has some pipes.

I'm a huge SK fan and the 90s version of The Stand is pretty good for being a 2 night TV movie. I recently re-read the book and the graphic novels and I was about to watch the 90s version again, when I saw they did a new mini-series in 2020. I made it 30 minutes into the first episode and shut it off lol. I do not recommend it.

I watched that one too. It is remarkably meh. I think the most notable thing is the second to last episode ends in the same spot as the 90s version, but then it goes an episode longer. I’m not sure that was a good thing.

Good to see Saban morphing into his final form -- "Even if you beat a team, it doesn't make you better than them." That's not insight -- that just makes him a terrible analyst. It's unfortunate he can't get out of the shadow of his own ego.. the world where he won everything.
Why do people stay in a cult? Because everyone they know is also in the cult. If there's no differing opinions in your realm, there will be no moving forward.
Sure, OleMiss won a playoff game last season.. So did Oregon, and you can't find anyone crowing about how good the b10 is because of that. Might want to check who that opponent was -- for both of them.
Lane Kiffin just got up on stage and said he wants a 9-3 team to get in over an 11-1 team. My guy, Sark lost to Florida last year [after their coach had already been fired] and barely beat Miss St.. because Texas was not even a good team, let alone a playoff team. The teams above Texas were BYU and Notre Dame for just last year's playoff.. and both would [and SHOULD] have been in before Texas. It wasn't the Ohio State loss that kept Texas out -- it was the Florida loss. And don't forget that San Jose State, UTEP, and Sam Houston were Texas' games after Ohio State.. they already had 3 cupcakes, and now they can't handle life without a 4th? Florida's only wins last season were Long Island University, Florida State, MissSt, and the proposed playoff team Texas. Don't forget that also Texas needed overtime for MissSt.. that's the equivalent of OSU going to overtime against Rutgers.
The floors of the b10 and the SEC are the same... and yet, the parity of both the middle and the ceiling in the b10 is much greater. Only 6 teams have won the SEC in 50 years.. in the b10, that's actually 10. Even Northwestern and Purdue have had their seasons.. Vandy has no shot. Auburn is below Illinois, and Illinois has no shot. Even that one Auburn season had a total of 2 NFL players on the roster - one on each side of the ball - Cam Newton and someone you'll only get looking up Ourlads. Speaking of Illinois, they won the big10 in 2001, have 5 natty's, and of course they beat Tennessee last season.

Keep an eye out for Reed Harris WR Arizona State. Transferred Senior from Boston College 6'5" 220 lbs. with 4.45 40 speed reminds me of Mike Evens with ability to mismatch DBs. 9 catches 189 yds 2 TDs in a losing effort against a superior A&M defensive backfield. Ags won because of that backfield in the 4th with 2 ints for TDs in a 48-20 win.
Nonetheless he impressed me. 2-3 round pick IMO.

Fun fact: Drinkowitz at Missouri is now 0-16 against any SEC team with a winning record. Yet this clown is without fail handed a preseason top25 spot he'll never earn.
