I can top that. Name the only team that traded back to back Cy Young award winners. Answer: Indians; John Denny and Rick Sutcliffe. That was the old record. They did it again with CC Sabathia and Cliff Lee.

Love it.... http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2014/9/14/6148783/rob-ryan-saints-very-bad-day

This thread delivers.

corn dogs. devil dogs. malo cups. slim jims. at 1:56 in has to be the classic line of the whole movie.

I think Dansby is an upgrade over DQ... The above is one of my better backhanded compliments of late. Personally ILB is a position I would have upgraded in the draft with either Wisconsin's Borland or UConn's Smallwood in Rnd 2 or 3.

It is a good read and like him or not, Peter King gets a shitload of interviews with people in the NFL so obviously he's respected enough by the people on the inside. Hopefully it's all smooth sailing and continuity from here with the team and organization.

Or he says the three douches in the front office won't leave you alone and give unrealistic expectations, then theycan you when things get rough to make themselves look better.

@nickers said:Until the NFL becomes a legit organization again does it really matter?...what needs to happen is a thorough, independant invetigation of Goodell and its main cronies being,Kraft,Rooney,Mara..etc. By who? I agree that there is some questionable shit going on. And I too have my suspicions of professional sports being rigged, as well as Vegas and/or the refs deciding outcomes, however; I hope you don't mean that you want the government involved in that investigation? They don't exactly get things right. Not to mention it would be a waste of our tax dollars that could be spent elsewhere.

XxDaBuckeyexX said:I didn't think he picked him up and slammed him....looked more like he whipped and swung him down....I could be wrong because I missed the play and only saw the replay. He clearly picked him up and body slammed him. I've read two different people talking about the penalty and both said the same thing. If he had the ball or not, it's a penalty either way this year.

Looking at this whole situation I don't see how the Browns couldn't file a grievance of some sort. That seems like an incredibly stupid rule to have to put a player on your team without him passing a physical. That'd be like me failing a background check and still being able to work. How can that not be part of the signing process?

@usfbrown said: i'm not so sure about that. Gordon and Cameron are some of the best at their position. It'll be hard to cover both. Hoyer has led touchdown drives at the end of the game when needed. I'd love to see us go against one of the "tougher teams", but as been said, Bengal were a tough team. Many if not most predictors had the Bengals as perhaps the #2 team in all of the AFC...after Denver. And on paper they do have that talent. Just not yesterday.

@djdawg2010 said: Honestly, it could have happened in any other rust belt city. And the Cuyahoga River has been cleaned up substantially since that incident. Yes, you can thank the EPA for that- but also a lot of the heavy industry that was causing the pollution is no more. I used to work down in the Flats in that time period- and I saw small rivulets of creosote oil (the stuff that's used to treat telephone poles) running towards the river. One of the steel mills coke plants (coal purification) would regularly send up a cloud of acid rain that could take the paint finish off your car- or their BOF (basic oxygen furnace) would occasionally send a mushroom cloud of rust a couple hundred feet in the air when they fired it up.

@bonedawg said: Brady Quinn got bounced out of KC and signed with the Seahawks as a No. 2 behind Russell Wilson. You have to wonder if it is finally bouncing around in those two pebbles in his skull that he is nothing more than a career back-up. Blown his chance at two teams. But hey, those biceps sure do look good holding a clipboard. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/brady-quinn-agrees-terms-seattle-seahawks-002526241--nfl.html CB Eric Wright takes a huge pay cut to stay in Tampa. Presumably, he missed reading about the paycut because he wanted to read his contract but couldn't cover it all. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/buccaneers-cb-eric-wright-takes-large-pay-cut-235502062--nfl.html#more-45832 Way to pick 'em Brownies! This has been your weekly update of washed up ex-Browns. lol. I will look forward to your weekly update of ex Browns circling the drain.

@ballpeen said: Just based on that on my view, we have the smallest fanbase, with no cross over to another state. & This thread has no merit I agree, no -one can see the widespread fanbase everywhere else! We are here in Minnesota... there are SO many fans that have left Cleveland to anywhere, everywhere from promotion or other reasons.... just wait til they start winning - yes some bandwagoners (screw em) but ALOT of true fans are out there will be flocking back to our team! (and bandwagoners will have to prove themselves by taking and passing one of gippers trivia quizes!)

While it didn't work, this fake-out onside kick was a thing of beauty. Go Phil! Pay this man Haslam!

@usfbrown said: I saw this too and wondered the same thing. The sum or the parts doesn't equal the whole here. It reminds me of the past redskins team or even the eagles dream team. Sometimes having all the good players doesn't produce the results we all think they should. Or it could be that offense wins championships... Well, they obviously need a coach and a QB. Andy Reid will surely be an upgrade from Romeo...and I suspect they would be major players in the Alex Smith Derby. A lot of mocks have them taking Geno Smith #1 overall. Who knows? Others say that Geno is nowhere near the potential of an Andrew Luck or RGIII. Hard to say. Is he the potential of a Russell Wilson?

Its amazing to me that a 4 year old girl would even have that kind of passion for football.

Hardesty runs like he is scared of being hit. Sorta like how Weed Head Willie did.
