Running a 4-3 would keep Sheard and Kruger from having to be on the field virtually the entire season like they were last year. We would just have so much better rotations throughout the whole front 7. Keeping Kruger fresh especially, I think he'd easily be a 15 sack guy and we know he'd be one of the best edge setters in football with his hands down...same with Sheard.

@silverback said: Welcome to 1980's NFL philosophy. Too bad the league evolved beyond this years ago. The rest of the division stock up to pass the ball, protect the passer, stop the pass. Funny...didn't the almighty team from western pa just state this offseason that they wanted to become a run-first team? even getting a new OC? the irony...

our depth on the OLine I don't think is as bad as it seems. Womack, Pashos, and Lauvao weren't playing last night. Any team is gonna struggle to find a decent replacement when 3 of your top 4 strongside linemen aren't active. The guy starting at right guard (Yates) wasn't gonna make the team by any stretch. I think we have 3 right tackles who can start in the NFL and conceivably do a solid job in Pashos, St.Clair, and Kooistra - even though St.Clair and Kooistra aren't exactly any better than average on a good day.

Why did I know there would be a thread here to pick up chambers.. Never fails..some over the hill dinasaur gets cut and half of you guys are drooling to bring him onto our team..HELLO ..he was cut.. Why was he cut.. I'll tell ya why.. The charges have played 7 games.. he has 9 whopping catches in those 7 games..Stick a fork in him..he's done.. he cannot get open anymore.. Gates and jackson each have 37 catches in the same time period.. If you cannot catch more than 9 passes in the chargers offense as a starter???? You deserve to be cut.

Watch the game faggot. GO STEELERS! We win...... You SUCK. @brownb499 said:Does PISSburgh ever have to play by the NFL rules?

I wouldnt mind Edgeran James (sp.) for a one year stop gap

Rumor on ESPN has the Ravens trying to get a deal done for Boldin. It's in the Insider "Rumor Special" if anybody here has paid to get in there.

@onefellswoop7 said:If you don't like Rey (I'm definitely not saying he should and HAS to be our pick but he intrigues me)...then who do you think will help us bring attitude to this D. One extreme guy can be contagious. Bart Scott, Suggs, Dansby or someone in FA? Curry or Spikes (maybe Orakpo or Mays) in the draft? We've got a monster on the DL already. Who could come in and help make this D scary? Right now, if I had to take a defender, I'd take Taylor Mays.
