And we know Tex that you are having a wet dream about having JFF in TX. Hope he gets traded to NE.
traded to texas...best thing that could happen to manziel.....he obviously belongs in texas a hell of a lot more than he does in cleveland.....and i think every one in cleveland agrees with me on that point.....so why not just do it.....

Pettine took a shit this morning that had more football knowledge than you and Johnny combined.
Zombo
so that's what he's doing with all his "football knowledge," that explains everything.....
no excuses....but while it's true manziel didn't win the game the defense definitely lost it.....that was the worst defense i've ever seen.....
Here's the thing hoyer was never given a chance. Between espn all the talking head Haslem and the Johnny fan boys he was set up to fall. All he did was win and make the team relevant. And yes he has struggled but what happened today was sad. And because hoyer is not a big flashy personality he was ran out of the position. If today proves anything hoyer was carrying the team. Best thing for them now get rid of the distraction ( Johnny) and put pieces around hoyer and wait for the next great one, but for now hoyer can get us places and might make a lot of noise.
definitely...hoyer's the answer...trade manziel, please trade manziel......then i wouldn't have to listen to this stupidity any longer.....
this lose made us the joke of the week. i blame the coaching staff.... they knew this was coming. manziel is not an nfl qb. our o line is horrible without Mack, receivers can't catch, d is missing ?,
so who still thinks hoyer can't win games for us? makes you wonder if was a better option. i am by no means a hoyer fan boy. we need a legit pro qb
if the browns agree with you....i sure hope they trade him....fast....but give him another 4 or 8 days days with the one's....and joe montana would have struggled with that o-line play.......and don't even talk about the defense they couldn't get the bengals off the field if their lives depended on it.........

Nothing wrong with this team that a quarterback wouldnt solve.
We are 7-6 with a mediocre one, and 0-1 while starting little mascots.

what game were you watching....must have been one that had a defense....clearly not the browns.........
Here is the list of the top 15 of Sports Illustrated's Best 50 games ever played, in order:

44. 1945 Cleveland Rams/Washington Redskins NFL Championship Game
45. Red Right 88 Browns Raiders 1980
I didn't put the whole list. Almost all of these are postseason games (there may have been a few regular season games on the 50 list...but all these are playoffs.
Can you think of any other Browns game that could be listed under the greatest games ever?
i hate that fucking immaculate reception game.....a total fluke play, just fucking luck....i fucking hate anything to do with pittsburgh....
I see they are not showing it in Norman, Ok. They still have not forgiven him for "wrecking" the Sooners in the Cotton Bowl.
yeah...wasn't that sweet.....??
so manziel made A&M great which means he probably would've never seen the field with most teams. to put him in the same breath with a HOFer such as jim brown is fucking disgraceful. that's a breach of the brown's tree of history right there.
manziel will be lucky to sniff the passing gas of jim brown on his way to the field.
as my name implies, i'm a big jim brown fan and i rooted for cleveland, not because i liked cleveland, per se, but because jim brown played for them. for me he's one of, if not the best ever, running backs.....but don't beat up on aggie brown too much.....manziel was every bit as good in college as jim brown. in 3 years at syracuse brown ran for 2091 yards....and 19 td's.; that's in 3 year..... in 2 years at a&m, manziel ran for 2169 yards and 30 fucking td's...and he did this while he was passing for another 7829 yds and 63 additional td's; and that's in the sec west, the toughest conference in the nation.....so at least from a college perspective, which is all we can compare at this time, manziel more than holds his own against (my boy) jim brown..so cut the manziel fans some slack....his fucking college career was amazing......so it's no wonder that his fans like him as much as jim brown's did back in the day.....
This has been rehashed over and over, but my thoughts are this.
1. I live and die Aggie football, whose history is VERY similar to the Browns.
2. One kid comes to my school and seemingly overnight, Texas A&M football leads every sportscenter. The kid becomes the greatest Aggie football player ever.
3. People start bashing this kid that made my team so great, saying he will suck in the NFL.
This string of events makes me root for the kid. All I want is for him to again prove the naysayers wrong, and in the process give Browns fan the happiness he brought to Aggie fans.
and..."give Browns fan the happiness he brought to Aggie fans"...i think we can all buy in to that.....there's always going to be people who like to be negative and run other people down.....that's certainly true for manziel....a lot of people want him to fail....just accept that but don't be consumed by it..stay positive...if he's successful, the browns are successful...any true browns fan wants him to succeed....ignore the rest....
That's because we have different priorities, and again, I'm wondering if you fall into one of the two categories that I defined a few posts earlier 1) didn't go to college 2) didn't go to a college with a good football program.
I am a die hard Aggie and will support former Ags everywhere. Did you know ALL of Texas (Dallas, Austin, SA, Houston) switched from covering the Packers v Bills to the Browns v Bengals because Manziel is starting? You guys just picked up a few million more in audience watching your game. Are you really going to bitch about it because we want to see how the undersized kid from Texas with a gunslinger and road runner mentality does? You think this is singled out to Aggies? Watch ratings across the country when Manziel is involved. It is Tebow 2.0. I'm sorry that ruined your day. By the way, the Browns have a good D or having a shitty QB in Hoyer hasn't made you any more relevant. Johnny has, and with that you get a bunch of idiots like me following the Browns. You are welcome, dumbass.
Or would rather slip back into irrelevance and importance like you have been for the last 2 decades? At least that way you can worship your shitty team and pathetic results by yourselves. The alternative is you have a millions of people around the country wanting to see Manziel and the Browns tear it up and make the AFC look stupid.
evan...we get it, you're an aggie and aggies support aggies.....that's cool and no problem with that.....but show some fucking respect.....i know, u had to put up with the home town hoyer fanatics....but finally, that's behind us....lets just get on board and support both manziel and the team he plays on....i'm pretty sure that's where his head is....he's pretty much been a browns' man since he was drafted and has accepted his back up role for 13 fucking weeks.....let's follow his lead and see where it takes us.....above all, quit your fucking superiority-game nonsense.....it gives both you and other aggies a fucking bad rep that they, at least, don't need or deserve.....
I have a theory that 70-85% of die hard NFL fans 1) never graduated college with a 4 yr degree or 2) never graduated college with a football team worth a damn.
I'm curious if you fall into one of those categories?
lets not even go there....it doesn't take too much thinking to come up with lots of really really smart successful people who never got a college degree...steve jobs, bill gates, just to name the obvious......also, my experience says there are tons of football fans on wall street, at hedge funds, at law firms, etc. etc. ...... lets move on....
Look at this photo. Not much difference in stature really.
big difference in talent though.....
Gosh sakes, Manziel not getting drafted #1 overall had EVERYTHING to do what NFL teams (not College Fanboys) thought his eventual pro potential would be. RE: Brady & Montana- I've beat that argument into the ground already too. Pro scouts & GMs have a checklist of what they think qbs should be. Andrew Luck checked off all the boxes- it's why he went #1 overall, Brady, Montana, AND Manziel didn't. Well wah, wah- IF JFF was 3" taller, and had the off field demeanor of Mariota, he may well have been drafted #1 overall. He isn't, doesn't- that that's the facts, Jack. Yeah Dan Marino fell in the draft because of off field concerns- so get it through your head I'm not saying Manziel can't be a good, or even great qb in the NFL- he's got to prove it on the field too. In my case I'll believe he's the greatest thing to hit the NFL since the facemask when he's in the top 10 in qbr for a couple of years, and leads the Browns into the playoffs a couple of times.
Let me point out a few things for you- I'm probably as big an Ohio State Homer as the A&M fans who have invaded of late, and I go back to the days of Paul Warfield, John Brockington, and Woody Hayes.
Manziel won a Heisman. So? Archie Griffin won two. How did that work out in the pros?
I was certain Dan "Big Daddy" Wilkinson was going to be the next Bruce Smith- well, guess I was wrong about that.
It's the same reason why JFFs apologists not only can't see why he wasn't drafted #1 overall- they're blind to the flaws in his game at the pro level- and trust me they're there- IF you're being 1\2 objective about it. Johnny Jump ball to triple teamed Evans won't work in the NFL- taking off when your primary receiver is covered will sooner or later land you on IR. It only takes one mistake (RGIII) or fluke situation (Hoyer, Mack). Even guys as big as Kapernick and Newton are showing the wear and tear of getting pounded by taking off running. JF must learn, as Russell Wilson has- run if you HAVE to, not because you can. He's a smart kid- I really hope he's learned a thing or two since August.
Exactly.
A sample size of one. I'm not going to bother to list all the other JF shortcomings that were duly noted in his preseason games. He's had three months of quarterback boot camp to correct them.
i think we can all agree that where you are drafted is no guarantee that you will be "great" or even "successful"...johnny unitas, my pick for best ever, was drafted in the ninth round and then wasn't even given a chance in preseason practice, and released outright.....the colts picked him up basically as a walk-on....hell, manziel wan't that highly recruited out of high school...tu never even made him an offer, even though manziel would have probably gone there if they had (as long as it was at quarterback)....so bottom line...the so called experts are often dead wrong about who will succeed and who won't.....we certainly know manziel succeeded in college....remains to be seen if he can do the same in the pros...but maybe now he will get a chance.....that's all unitas needed, hopefully that's all manziel will need.....
retired from the madison ave ad biz when i was 48. (still working tho) no college necessary. just a quick wit and a keen creative mind.
yeah that college thing......
i guess you don't need a piece of paper to distinguish shit when you see it, hear it or smell it. i think you might fall into one of those categories.
r u the "plop, plop, fizz, fizz, oh what a relief it is" guy......
http://sports.yahoo.com/video/kliff-kingsbury-discoveri
for the manzealots.....
guys-he's still a rookie with far less experience than all those other struggling rookie QB's he came in with and is now 13 games behind. Winning 3 of 3 is asking a bit much, but showing some real promise, mistakes and all, is about the best we can expect this late in the season for a new QB in the NFL. Now if the D does what they did for Hoyer in all 3 of those games, then it is likely we win them all. But that was the best defensive effort in at least a decade. I know it was the right decision to give Hoyer one more chance, but damn JFF would have buried them with the field positions they kept delivering time after time.
have to agree...winning the next 3 has to be way optimistic, but we sure weren't going to win them with hoyer, so what the hell....let's give manziel a shot and see what he can do....at a minimum he gets a taste of what it's like to play in the nfl which should help him prepare better for next year.......if he plays well and doesn't make too many mistakes, that's all i ask....any wins will be icing on the cake....if the defense plays like they have, though, we might just win one or two.....they fucked cincy up pretty badly that last game.....
Hoorta
The Texans not drafting him has mothing to do with how good he is or will be. Every team passed on Tom Brady and Joe Montana at least once. Does that mean they weren't good?
Manziel is SO good that he's the only qb under 6 feet to be drafted in the first round in over 50 years. Teams are scared of small qb's, that's why so many passed on him.
As well as lsu did against Johnny, the Aggies could have won in 2012, maybe should have won. In 2013, Johnny played with a fractured thumb.
As for rolling to his left, I've seen few better at throwing while rolling left, so I'm not sure where you're getting that. I can think of 4 of his most famous Aggie highlights happening while rolling left. He rolled left against Buffalo once and threw a perfect pass to Austin.
lsu out played them for sure in 2013...but you're right, manziel's injury and the lack of receivers (i don't think kennedy even played in 2013 game) hurt as well........when evans is the only guy you really fear...you double triple team him and put max pressure on the qb
Oh god I hate this QB. He is going to get killed. I give him two quarters and they will be pulling him out or be taken out by stretcher.
thanks for sharing your thoughts on the matter mrs. hoyer......
how sick would it have been to stay at 4 and take Evans and then Johnny later on?
yeah...that scenario is a great one...but probably not that likely....if pigs had wings, they could fly.....
still, having evans to throw to is a nice contemplation.....
