I'd say the number is over. I'd think we'll see a lot of him in the first couple preseasono games and then quite a bit in the 4th one.

Good stuff, guys. Yeah, I definitely don't want a TE at #7, and I'm sure Gresham will go somewhere between 21-30. I was hoping Rucker could fill Winslow's shoes, but he obviously didn't. I like Evan Moore, but I'm just not sure if he's the guy. I would like to see us get another TE to complement Moore. If Moore turns out to be our Heath Miller or Jay Novacek, awesome. Then let's go get that RT and safety in the third round. My final point is that the only spot receiver can instantly help our offense is going with Bryant at #7 or Tate if he falls to #38. After that, we're just drafting a Robiskie, Massaquoi or Stuckey anyway. But there's no way I want Bryant at #7: Berry or Haden is the guy there.

Going for it on 4th and 2 was the correct mathematical call and its actually not even close. The playcalling leading up to that decisions however, was suboptimal. http://www.advancednflstats.com/2009/11/be...n-vs-colts.html The talking heads (yes this includes Dungy) who are claiming he should have "went with the odds and punted" and have no xxxxing idea what the odds even are. 99% of coaches don't have the balls to make a correct decision when it goes against "conventional wisdom."

Some nice observations. I agree on McDonald. I think he is pretty good at coverage, but his tackling is like Deion Sanders...too bad for McDonald Sanders brought so much to his team he could get away with arm tackles. I agree on Harrison..if we are going to use him to pick up a blitz we might as well see if putting a red jersey on the qb fakes out the defenders and they don't touch him. Lewis is done. I agree on Cribbs...we need to run more WildDawg and even though he threw the pick, we need to work more passing plays in to the mix when he is at qb...some true pass/run options off the roll out. I would start working that this week. Playing him in that role is like turning a qb in to a extra O-lineman. Seems to me we can use as many offensive linemen on the field as possible. Call it a gimmick if you want. I don't care what it is if it moves the ball. That is the object of offensive football, is it not?

Mankok will try to scrape by on defense this year with coaching technique and pretty much what we have and rebuild it in next years likely stronger draft obviously mangini feels the defense is capable of being coached into shape and we have a lot of talent that was wasted under romeo looks like mangini is going to put it to work...

I think part of why so many of us would rather see Edwards swapped for something now is because after DA's one season wonder we went from a first and a third to jack shit for the guy and don't want to see him walk without getting anything in return and don't want to take the chance at losing the sell high part like good old DA. Maybe if we have a qb that hits Edwards in stride and doesn't hang him out to dry, and maybe if he can make it through another full season healthy we can see PROBOWL Edwards again, but that's an awful lot of maybes when you've got the chance to sell high during a rebuilding phase.

I don't know, but I know he's ready to play. They had an article this week about him and how excited he was that he might finally be getting on the field. Don't look like it happened though, and with winslow back next week, we might not see him until there is an injury or something.
