@Canton-Dawg thats creepy dude!

And the area that was in dispute during the great Toledo War between Ohio and Michigan around 1835, they don’t get the game either. Anyone else vaguely remember that from your Ohio history class? It was a literal war between Ohio and Michigan over Toledo. Imagine that? Here’s the Wiki page about it.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toledo_WarMost of both Carolinas get the game. There’s some parts of WV and KY that get the game too. Somehow there’s a little square of western Indiana that gets the game and that’s a weird dynamic, it looks like the Richmond area. I’ll gladly trade them Richmond for Van Wert.I find it real odd that the Ratbirds-Cowboys game is being played in Brazil but at 425,pm. What's the point of sending those teams down there if it's not a "stand alone" game?

@texasag1969 said:Myles may be coming back around game 9Wow! I haven't been paying close attention. I was thinking he'd be back after the 4 week IR period. That's more bettah.

After seeing game 1, how is any sane person going to argue with you guys? We were inept in every facet of offense and defense. I'll say one thing though, that TD to Boston...60 yards in the air, right on the money. Ya gotta make an NFL QB feel safe back there.

@ballpeen said:I know the nearly 600 mile drive home the morning after games seems much shorter after we win.And I bitch about driving 120 miles each way to sit on concrete seats when it's near 100F outside the stadium. Thank goodness they allow us to take one big bottle of water in.

@warrendawg said:The Defensive Line looked below average in the first game. There was hardly any penetration, or disruption. This needs to improve.I disagree. There was plenty of disruption and penetration in our defense.

...a bit of good DL news:

@unsympathetic said: My vote goes to Royer as TE2 / WR6.  Fannin is somewhere in the top5 WR's.  Country Gronk was underappreciated at OSU, he always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. I wonder if Green will see KR reps to preview his eventual switch to fulltime WR. Ohio State's offense hasn't been TE friendly in a long time.

@marvin-the-martian said:I suspect Haslam will resign Watson and not draft a highly rated QBI suspect that you will obsessively post about Watson for as long as this board lasts

And then there is this little short on how he separates.

Insider Albert Breer recently revealed the key moment that sealed the Browns-Chiefs draft trade, and it was when Kansas City general manager Brett Veach confirmed he was going to select a defensive player.

Our initial 53-man roster projection was posted before the UDFA signings began to trickle in after this year’s draft. Fans thought CB Nate Davis, by far, had the best chance to make the roster, but DE Logan Fano’s contract tells us that the brother of Cleveland’s first pick, OL Spencer Fano, has the best chance. According to Spotrac, Fano signed for the most guaranteed money of any UDFA this year at $310,000. No other undrafted free agent had more than $288,000 of their contract guaranteed, based on the information available. Davis reportedly got $115,000, as did fellow CB Michael Coats Jr.

@orion said: In reality, the thing that Myles attributes most to his success is his, 'Get-Off'.  I think he said that his best get-off of his career was his final sack of the year of Joe Burrow.  It really was spot on.  ( I recorded a replay of the sack with my phone )     If you've ever noticed, he does jump offside on occasion.  It's because he's trying to time his get-off.  Occasionally his get-off turns into a got-off...like, got off-sides.   And if you have seen him make those standing jumps to high platforms, then you understand where those huge get-offs come from. He practices that all the time. It's like watching a high jumper practicing to clear the bar at high levels.

@gumby73 said: If Berry thought losing Hecht 2 slots before having to settle on Brailford to play center was bad? I was all in on Hecht for the Browns on my stupid mock draft. After, I looked into it - though Best pick: Kansas State C Sam Hecht After moving around the draft board, the Panthers ended up with the 144th pick early in the fifth round. They used it on Kansas State center Sam Hecht. He was considered by a lot of draft analysts to be no worse than the second-best center in this class. that is the part that I was thinking.....but then https://brownswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/browns/2026/04/29/browns-nfl-draft-getting-to-know-durable-center-parker-brailsford/89813579007/ " Here are three things to get to know the new Browns' center. 1. High value draft pick According to the consensus boards, Brailsford was slated as the number two-ranked center and was projected to be a third-round pick, and Cleveland got him in the fifth round. Over his career, he has shown all of the natural abilities needed to be successful at the position." "Parker Brailsford was the No. 2 center on PFSN’s consensus big board. 2. Best ability is availability Durability, again, is the name of the game for all of Cleveland's draft picks. The Browns have continually battled injuries year after year. Yes, they are all part of the game, and they are going to happen, but Brailsford is yet another in their list of draft picks who maxed out the number of games that they could have played. He appeared in 15 games in his freshman year at center and guard for Washington before transferring to Alabama and playing in all 27 of his games. In that time, he allowed just two sacks from the center position. 3. Undersized, but very athletic Brailsford is very undersized for his position and for an NFL offensive line, period. He stands at 6'2" and weighs in at just 289 pounds. That's not always a horrible thing for centers as they can use their leverage against bigger guys, but it is definitely a negative. What is positive is that, again, like the other draft picks, Brailsford is extremely athletic. He tested out as an 8.65 RAS and is one of the more athletic offensive linemen in this class. calls him “a natural” at the position. ******************************************************************** https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/football/the-browns-just-got-the-steal-of-the-nfl-draft-with-alabama-center-parker-brailsford/ar-AA21IQXQ The Browns just got the steal of the NFL draft with Alabama center Parker Brailsford ************************* so, I was no longer disgusted - Berry knew what he was doing, apparently !

@orion said: Bucky Brooks spoke on Move The Sticks about the Browns’ draft situation, and he made it very clear what needs to be done. He believes No. 6 has to be used on an offensive lineman. “Pick No. 6 needs to be an offensive lineman. You need to get the best offensive lineman you can get. Twenty-four, maybe we think about wide receiver, but to me, I have to commit the capital to get this offensive line up and going. It was tragic what they trotted out last year in that offensive line. You should never put anybody behind that kind of offensive line. That has to be the priority,” Brooks said. Brooks added that, given Monken’s background, signs point to O-Line being the first priority. Monken captained some dominant offensive lines at Georgia and clearly made it a massive priority with the Baltimore Ravens to ensure Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry were well-protected. Cleveland has four starters on the offensive line hitting free agency in Jack Conklin, Joel Bitonio, Ethan Pocic, and Wyatt Teller, with oft-injured left tackle Dawand Jones serving as the only returning starter. Wide receiver is obviously a huge need, but the receiver room doesn’t have actual voids like the line does. It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Browns double up and go offensive line with both of their first-round picks. Monken certainly has options, and the fans all can’t wait to see what he and the front office have up their sleeves to fix this offense. --------- I totally agree with this take on our OL.  'at 24, MAYBE we think about WR'     in other words, he wants another OLineman at 24.  Again, the only caveat being what gets accomplished during FA.   I guess Bucky read my stupid mock draft ! LOL
