Ricardo Louis WaivedI'm not that technically advanced. Time has apparently passed me by. Had to look up Amazon Firestick. The wife does have a Amazon Prime membership, so that would make things easier. My good friend has Alexa, I'm aware of what you can do with it, but I don't see the need for it- yet.
No need to get out of your chair. Gosh, what's next- Alexa, wipe my butt?
You can buy them already jailbroken and pre loaded on the net for 50 at most nowadays, easy peasy

Browns Resign Orson CharlesThe hype man is back! I love this dude, he reminds me of bateman from the replacements
-
Are You Freaking Kidding Me?All QBs make dumb mistakes, some more than others. I just think he has alot of room to grow still.
-
Are You Freaking Kidding Me?I really dont get all the people saying we couldn't beat pissburgs jv team or scrubs!? They had 4 FOUR starters sit, i saw their starters on D playing the whole game so i dont get the jv bs.
After reading the post game comments from hawk and rg3, id bet dollars to donuts that the play called at the 2 yd. line was a run play with a bubble screen built in, very common play design nowadays. Hawk flat out said he didn't think he was getting the ball and was surprised. So that means Hue called a run first play, RG3 tried to be cute and threw the screen. RG3 even said he should have just handed the ball off. So everyone that's bashing Hue needs to jump off his nutsack, he coulda threw RG3 under the bus on that one but he didn't. IMO RG3 is still pretty raw. He got coached up his rookie year and then became an afterthought until this season. Im kinda intrigued about him having another full offseason with him being healthy and having the coaches focused on him. I understand that fans are frustrated with how the season went, i sure am. Maybe give the coach a chance to grow with his very very young and raw team.

Josh McCownHe's my favorite Browns QB since Bernie. No giving up in that dude.
-
Carl NassibThe thing that we have right now is that it looks like at least three of sashi and co's picks are going to pan out. Too early to say but Coleman, Nassib and ogbah all look promising. When was the last time we hit on one draft pick much less three?
Id say you could probably throw Schobert in there too
-
Why we should be excited that Josh McCown is startingIf he can stay healthy behind that Oline, I think McCown could have some pretty good games. He will actually have more than one person who is over 6 ft. tall to throw the ball to which should help him out alot. Its hard to hit such small targets consistently and Barnidge aside, they were all midgets last year. Heres to hope!
-
Ghoolie's predictions (has he ever been wrong?) -
Jonathan Paul ManzielFor very good reasons. Drafting a falling QB just because they're falling or you like their size or both is how you end up with Brady Quinn, or Johnny Manziel, or Blaine Gabbert, or Brandon Weeden, or Colt McCoy or a bunch of other guys whose names we don't remember because they weren't good enough.
Mr.Rodgers slid quite a bit, and Mr.Brady avalanched all the way down Mt.Everest. Im not saying Cardales a lock or anything, just sayin that a sliding QB doesnt mean hes a lock to be bad. Cardale may end up being a mid-late round lotto pick for a lucky team. Never know....

Haslem and Farmer should be ashamed....Ok....fair write up and I agree with much of what you said....let me say that I am not saying Pettine is great....nor am I saying he's done a super job....nor am I saying he "must" stay.......thats not the point Im making here....
What I said was that his "bosses" have hung him out to dry and, "if they are working together", as you said, then they have a real funny way of showing it......and if they are ALL culpable(which they are), then why is Pettine all alone when its time to answer questions????....to me, that shows weak leadership on the part of Farmer and Haslem....while Pettine is showing strength.....
But, I will address your points, since there is clearly a difference of opinion here....
First: If you agree that Farmer sucks, how can you say Pettine has the talent to win.???...or is the premise that he doesnt have the talent to win, but he should at least do a little better???......cause I could agree there....
And, if Haslem and Farmer have made a TON of mistakes, why do they get a pass, while Pettine gets fired? Are mistakes not part of the learning process for new players.....Owners?....GMs?.....and Coaches?
Second: Yes. He DID hire his own staff at the last second, when there were few to zero quality Coaches available. I think this staff is the BIGGEST part of the problem, because these coaches are the guys who are REALLY hands on with the players. THIS is where the changes need to be made....not at the top. AND, if were gonna "fire" a Coach for his hiring practices, then we should be firing EVERYBODY for their hiring practices......(you listening JIMMY?....""""Mr. I cant Hire Anybody that sticks""""..)
Third: Yes. They are supposed to work together, right?....so......
- Why is Pettine all alone out there. Work together, but take the blame solo?....was that the plan?
- Why does the Coach get a QB he cant stand? Isnt that the most important position on the field? So he's supposed to win with a drunk General he doesnt want?
- And, why does Pettine sit up there and accept the heat and "own it", as he likes to say. But when Farmer does his "Only" pressy, he deflects and basically says "I didnt pick these guys, WE picked these guys".....whose working together there?.....Dude wont even "own it" for his own picks...Instead, he just pushed that mess onto Pettines plate....
- So....no working together.....which was THE WHOLE POINT of this thread.....no acceptance of any responsibility from the Owner or GM, who are SUPPOSED to be part of the "team" and working "with" Pettine..
- If we were winning, those 2 would be front and center, soaking up the accolades.....guaranteed...
Its easy to say some guys started bad.....or, if a player plays poorly, its the coaches fault......Look, I can tell you Haden, Gipson and Whitner all had Pro-bowl years under Pettine...or Kruger had his BEST season ever, under Pettine.....so, what, he didnt suck last year, but suddenly does this year?
Isnt it possible that Haden just started slow(like he has historically, season to season) and then got hurt?....(yes)
Isnt it possible that, after having his best season ever(also under Pettine), that Gipson blew his knee out and then started slow(like most injured guys do)...then got hurt too?....(yes)...
Isnt it possible that Kruger, after having HIS best season ever(also under Pettine) just reverted back to the very average LB he's always been and is putting up the same #'s he's put up in 5 out of his 7 seasons?.....(yes)...
So...is it all Farmer and Haslems fault?....NO...I never said that.....what I said is that it isnt ALL Pettines fault....
So...again.....Im not saying "none of this is Pettines fault"......or that he's great or a "gotta keep"....
Im saying its a shared responsibility and, without proper talent, its unfair to dump the frustration of 20 years of losing on his back alone.....
Look....this team sucked when Shurmur came in, and sucked after he left...And it sucked when Chud came and it sucked when he left......And it sucked when Pettine came in....and WHOA.....now, its Pettines fault??????
So....if we are to fix the problem, do we fire the visible target, or can we do an honest assessment and make changes where they are needed?....thats all Im asking....
There is NO WAY a quality Coach is gonna watch this....Pettine dangling out there alone....getting ZERO support from the Owner or the GM(who are supposed to be part of the "work together team" you mentioned).....having players he doesnt want thrust upon him.....and still want to come here and Coach....no fucking way...
Farmer and Haslem could promise him the world and all the support he needs..But any smart Coach would see right through that and how THAT went with Pettine....who didnt get good players and didnt get the time he was promised and didnt get any support when things went bad....
So.....if I was Haslem.....
First: Id get with Pettine and, together, work to find some top notch-experienced Coaches going forward...because thats what good organizations do....they adjust and improve....as opposed to just vaporizing and starting over...and over.....and over....and over....
Second: Id fire Farmer.....or, at minimum.....set a performance ultimatum for year 3....and this would be an acceptable thing to do with Pettine too
Third: Id say something....as owner and leader.....to help my fans(and patrons) understand where this team is headed....
So....Poor Mike?.....in a way....Not because he's great and getting a bad rap....but because his bosses and "team mates" have forsaken him.....
But....I think you all will get your wish.....and Mike will be fired......and Haslem and Farmer will huddle and pursue another Coach and more half assed talent.....and it will continue to be a joke.....and the talent will prove to be what it is(bad to average, with a few good guys mixed in).....
And then everyone can debate the "new reason we suck"......
Kudos to you to have the balls to have such a strong opinion on such an unpopular view. I agree 100% with all you've said in this thread.
I have a few unpopular ideas to add myself.
1)If we keep the same GM/HC combo, give pettine final say on the roster/picks. Whether or not they collaborate or pettine gives his input, ultimately its farmer who has the final say regardless of who inputs what. IMO he has handcuffed the coaches because he thinks he knows what players are needed more than the coaches do, results? Highest paid D / worst ranked D (farmer signs these guys and decides how much), skill position talent near non existent, whiff after whiff on top draft picks (still hoping JFF can be the guy) DWAYNE BOWE SMFH, and as you point out, hes hiding and hanging pettine out to dry. If they retain them both, i say let pettine try his hand at shaping this roster.
2) If we kick farmer to the curb i say give pettine total control on a 1 year audition. Hire an exec for the football side to help guide and assist him, not undermine or overrule him and see how that works. After a year if things arent looking like its gonna work, start over from scatch and hire a whole new front office. Either way, the people who obtain the players have to have the same vision as the people coaching them and its pretty evident thats not the current case.
IMHO i beleive that pettine can get this turned around, i think he has the meddle to do it. Bumps from learning on the job are going to happen, just have to stick with it and ride it out.

Haslam calls mtg with upper management tonight@douche-nozzle said:
I'm honestly curious because I've watched it for 35 years here in Cleveland, particularly since coming back to the NFL. What could Haslem do? So many want nothing except to win "now" and that simpy isn't going to happen. To fix this cluster-fuck will take many years and it seems like the majority of Browns fans and media simply wouldn't tolerate that. The media is a joke and the fans are so unrealistic I'm not sure there is anything he could do.
For a Stooler fan, this is a very smart post. Cant argue with any of it, completely true.

Titans fire Wisenhuntyes, yes you can. two years is actually the ideal window(to see major improvements at least)
Where are you getting this two years is the ideal window from? Whos been saying this in the nfl?
I mean i guess youd ideally like to see major improvement in year 2, but if you dont, it doesnt mean that eventually you wont.
-
I'm normally positive, but I want Pettine gone NOW!This isnt the first time a QB has gotten hurt and tried to forge ahead and his coach continues to roll with his guy. Its the NFL, all these guys know whats on the line. Youd think this fan base would appreciate a above average QB thats willing to put the pain aside to try and lead this team to victory, especially given the horrid QB's that we've had to witness in the past. Pett was ridin his horse just the same as any other coach woulda done.

A Possible O-line Rx... -
Josh Gordon, Marijuana and the Playoffs.
10 grows that are basically predetermined and hand picked. If you dont think that the people that formed Responsible Ohio arent gonna be reaping the rewards from the 10 handpicked grows, than your just naive. And just cause you can grow a little in your house(ONLY 4 flowering plants at a time) doesnt mean your going to be able to legally sell it. If they catch you selling it, its jail, just like it is now. You can apply for a license to sell it i believe, but the same people who determine who the 10 grows, are the same people who issue licenses.I believe issue 2 would stop any further attempts to legalize it. It's supposedly a bill that essentially makes up a board to see whether or not a bill should go to vote. If they don't think the bill should be a bill then I see them taking the vote ability away, no matter how good the argument should be for or against a new bill.
Legalizing weed would NOT create a monopoly, a monopoly is when ONLY 1 person holds all the goods and can set amounts at their leisure. This makes 10 distributors alone... AND allows you to grow your own. No money goes to anybody if you grow your own. You could sell that amount you grow to businesses for a fee and make your own money.
Fear and Control is rampart in these people that are against the legalization. I wouldn't be surprised if the lawyers and scammers out there are trying every propaganda measure they can to keep it illegal... there is simply too much money and control to give up on the legal side of things.
-
Josh Gordon, Marijuana and the Playoffs.Well I dont believe that they are just going to disappear or anything because of the bill and i never said that... I just think it will affect them. Either way, while waiting for the right bill to come along, they are making more money and killing more and more people
So just slap a cheap bandaid on it huh
-
Josh Gordon, Marijuana and the Playoffs. They probably won't sell dope.....they will just bring in other drugs....like this:
Organized crime will always find something that falls through the cracks of legality: booze in Prohibition. Dope, other drugs, Prostitutes. Whatever.
As long as theres a buck to be made and they have the ability to strongarm and fearmonger to achieve it.
