Look at who the buckeyes are playing. Do you see him going up against potential NFL caliber o-linemen now? Love OSU but I'm always leery of drafting guys just because they're ex buckeyes. Let them run the table and play some high level teams in the playoffs.

Cmon, mik. For the past 2 years our D was supposed to be top 5 and carrying this team. This year was supposed to be better than last. What have we seen? Can't stop the run, can't get to the QB in 3 out of the first 4 games. Nobody roots harder than I do for our Browns but to see this lackluster effort and the results of that effort can make anyone a naysayer. We just don't have that top end talent. We're all hoping for a turnaround but I've seen no sign it's coming anytime soon. Nobody here is rooting for this team to lose so save your piss for the stoolers and ratbirds.
Never wanted him. I was a Bortles fan. And last year just burned. But once you become a Cleveland Brown there's zero reason not to root and cheer for you. Even more now that it looks like he's getting it together. I still don't know if he's the long term answer but he did enough on the field (and it sounds like he's doing it off the field as well) to make me want to see him stay in the starting line up.
It's a little bizzare. McCown didn't look bad preseason and that 1st drive but would he show more if he's back with the 1's? Pet seems obsessed with the ground and pound so maybe McCown would be the safer bet.

I would love everyone on the fail bandwagon to personally call, write, text, etc. everyone on the Browns' team and tell them of your desires. And when you wake up from your month long beat down coma I hope you realize that no pro athlete would tank a season before it even starts. Pathetic.

Jones has played 4 games and too many people think he's the 2nd coming. There's a handful of players that you can predict will have successful pro careers and he ain't one of them. Loved what he did for the Buckeyes last year, with the help of his team, but waaaaaaay too early to drool.

We have no idea if Pryor will make the cut or not but if the bosses have already determined they're gonna keep him then have him play wr the first half, rest him 3rd qtr. and throw him behind center for the 4th.
I'm only basing this on Manziel's elbow being worse than we want, which I don't believe. If he can't play and Pryor is forced to backup McCown then it'll be stack the box time again so he might as well throw some in a preseason game just for practice. Don't see this happening at all but what the hell?
Also what is he even doing that makes it seem like he isn't handling it well? Marketing a product that's a bit wonky but stupid is just a smart business plan in the current market. People are soaking up this crap and he'll no doubt sell some.

Ah yes, the jersey curse. Mine started with Couch and has snow balled from there. Quinn, Richardson, 2 Josh Cribbs (though I don't count those as failures). But my favorite is #12. As with most of us here it was Dad. He was a big Paul Brown fan so that made me a Browns fan too. Dad started following the bungles after Brown got the boot but by then it was too late for me. Browns for life!!
I lost my dad in March after 10 long suffering years and I'm sure I'll shed a tear, as I'm doing now, every time we play cincy but just as sure either one of us will be laughing depending on which team wins. LOVE YA, DAD!!

Im not so sure it's about McCown "coaching anyone up", as much as it's about having a veteran QB in the room who isn't a wedge between players,....and can act as a mentor to any young QB interested in learning....

Sums it up for me. McCown is at the end of his career and while serviceable he's also looking to stay past his playing days. So he's more than happy to get a year or 2 of player money and show his chops at coaching QB's. Hoyer wants to start plain and simple. Browns don't see him as their future so turn the page. Same with the other FA QB's. They all expect a legit shot at starting and it ain't gona happen with us. Nobody has a clue how Manziel is gonna work out after rehab so expect a move for a QB in THIS draft. Farmer loves Hundley so if he's there (or close to there) in the 2nd that's your guy.
And, as usual, the idea of a team tanking for next years draft is idiotic at best.
