If I had $243 M, I'd spend $300,000 on you schleps.
And still have $242.7 M

Hell, if I just had a million dollars, I'd buy you guys a green dress, but not a real green dress.
That would be cruel.

A. .Is it because he is trying to buy loyalty?
B. Is it because he is apologizing for what they are going through because of him?
C. Honestly trying to team build?
And yes A, B, C .....A mixture of the 3?
D. Trying to repair some of the damage he has created.
E. Maybe he feels bad that he got this monster contract -and- has caused the city of Cleveland and the BROWNS to become the NFL laughingstock in the league.
I'm sure there are more.
GO BROWNS !

Laughingstock? You do not honestly believe that. We added a top 5 QB in his prime to a squad that was already stacked on both sides of the football. With Watson on the field, every team in the league will be concerned about facing us.
Main questions now are: how many games will we have to go without him, and will the coaching staff be able to get the most out of all this talent? The latter of which is probably my biggest concern.
Go Browns indeed! -

Just to focus on the current ongoing problems like I always say follow the money. Just look at the guaranteed money and signing bonuses.
Is he worth what the BROWNS have shelled out so far and how much to repair the BROWNS' image and more. A colossal mess and they are married to it for years.
Will a Super Bowl make it even ? Maybe.
Current Contract

That is a nice chart. Thanks for posting.
While it looks steep today, It probably won't look as steep in a few years.
We keep hearing the cap is going up, though we don't know where that may go. I suspect the teams have a pretty good idea where things are going, and through the NFLPA, agents have a pretty good idea where things are headed. That is why you are seeing guys reluctant to sign, or just demanding large numbers now. Right now Watsons slice of the pic chart may seem out of proportion, but the pie is about to get bigger where his portion will fall in to more of the norm that we are used to.

OK Sunday School is over time to go out and play. Or go take a nap.
Meanwhile, we have some really nice T-bones ready to go on the grill. Spinach salad w/buttermilk ranch, black olives, BP w/butter s&p and sour cream. Chocolate mouse pie for dessert.
️
Now who didn't see that coming ?

NY strip, baked 'tater, broccoli, Pine Club onion rings. LOL and plenty of wine. Rombauer chardonnay, Marques de Caceres Rioja Riserva, and a special birthday after dinner treat- a 1992 Taylor Fladgate vintage Port.
Though I don't normally advertise it, besides our British Browns Backer Gareth Hubbard, I also share a birthday with Jerry West.
And before I get grief from the temperance police, haven't had a drop today- yet.

We generally go ribeye, porterhouse, strip but occasionally some other cuts demand a look depending on marbling, price and other things. Oh BTW the T-bones were really good tonight, great potatoes and a good spinach salad w/sides of black olives and really juicy artichokes. Mmm-mmm.
Better STOP before we get exiled to the GAMEDAY food thread !

I'll take you up on that bet for a root beer. If you say nothing more about the Browns QB Watson, you win the root beer. I'll take a caffeine free Coke Zero.

Just for the record nothing wrong with thinking Watson is a scumbag. I think everyone here, as well as in Berea believes he is and we just all have our own levels of dealing with it.
Also ....
Ahh forget it. I'm having Chinese for Memorial Day.

Traitor. ?
Traitor. ?
A lot of holidays Susan has her children and grandchildren over for a pool party at I get the hell out of Dodge. I visit my sister in Carrollton and on Memorial Day the only restaurant open what is the Chinese place God bless them. Of course Chop Suey and chow mein are as American as apple pie. Which probably isn't even American anyway. ?
Normally we would visit Jimmy's Backyard BBQ.
