Firstly, an unfavorable view of Israel does not mean that Israel has done anything wrong.

Secondly, those with an unfavorable view of Israel have typically accepted Palestinian Arab falsehood propaganda against Israel, without first verifying if the allegations made against Israel are valid or not.
When are allegations against Israel not valid? When the allegations are asserted devoid of any objective evidence.

Thirdly, the survey does make it clear that views on Israel are different between Democrats and Republicans.

    - - - - Start of extract from above Survey: - - - -

'Democrats are much more likely to express unfavorable opinions of Israel than Republicans (69% vs. 37%). In 2022, 53% of Democrats and 27% of Republicans had negative views of Israel. '

    [Extract from its adjacent chart:]
    'View of Israel:

    Unfavorable 81
    Favorable 19'

I have posted to a different website all the main Palestinian Arab falsehood-propaganda against Israel, together with a brief rebuttal.
Anyone can use that webpage to search any specific allegation about which they are concerned and see an answer to it, and possibly reflect on their view.
Last time I looked at that thread, it had about 26,000 views (and for one year of that Thread's existence, the website's View-counter had been disabled).
I'm happy to link it, but I'm not sure if doing that would be against this website's rules.

The following is a copy of just one example-section:

    - - - - Start of copy extract: - - - -
    The Jews / Israel:
2.3) Were “given” the land: by the Allies following WW2 / by the United Nations, because of the Holocaust:

The Jews were not “given” any land. The WW2 Allies did NOT re-establish Israel.
The United Nations proposed a Partition Plan (two-state solution) under resolution 181, but while accepted by the then Palestinian Jewish Community it takes both parties to constitute any agreement. Instead, in 1947 to 1948 the Arabs started a civil war not only to oppose and instead take ALL the land of Israel, but also to ethnically-cleanse or murder the Jews. The more the Arabs persisted in attacking the Jewish community, the more militarized the previously peaceful Jewish community became, resulting in a force capable of defending a new state.

Israel was Re-established not because of the Holocaust, but because the land of Israel is the ancestral-homeland of the Jewish people - See links for: “Demographic history” and for the Hasmonean kingdom in 2.1) above.

Must have stifled Woody. No reaction.

And from where is the anti Israeli propaganda obtained?

Much of it from social media would be my guess, but according to Woody the only time you can have confidence in social media information is when it’s spewing anti Israeli stuff.

    FY56, you asked:
"from where is the anti Israeli propaganda obtained?":
An Internet search gains returns of example falsehood assertions about Israel and the Jewish people, but essentially the answer is: from about 8 years experience rebutting Palestinian Arab falsehood propaganda on the now defunct Yahoo Answers, and from researching for that debunking, which tended also to reveal how prevalent are particular examples of the falsehood-propaganda.

Its also quite easy for anyone to see the difference between genuine-criticism and anti-Israel/anti-Semitic falsehood:
Palestinian Arab falsehood against Israel is characterized by being asserted devoid of any objective evidence in support!

' "Much of that change was driven by Democrats, 35 percent of whom sympathized with the Palestinians in the latest poll, compared to 27 percent in the late January survey. Indeed, 60 percent of Republicans in the latest survey said they sympathized more with Israelis — about the same share as in January. Sixty-seven percent of Republicans also said Trump’s support for Israel in the Israel-Hamas war has been “about right,” signalling they approve of his approach so far. In comparison, 12 percent of Democrats and 25 percent of independents said the same — with larger shares saying Trump has been “too supportive of Israel.” '

Another example of cal posting a link and not reading it. Or maybe you did and you just can't follow along. Maybe you need some right wing blogger on red state feeding you propaganda every other sentence. Either way, this doesn't support you near as much as you think, as it shows building views critical of Trump and Israel, and references polls two months older than what I posted above.

Arguing with you about math and Israel is a bad combination, too of your weaknesses, so this obviously isn't going anywhere.

A growing share of Americans are souring on Israel and their continued genocide of Palestinians. You can want that not to be true, but the polls and data are clear.

    Speaking of propaganda...

I look at my answer, and then at the response to it from you and can only wonder. What fuck is wrong with you?

Your immediate response was to poke at the legitimacy of polls. And, historically, the right wingers on this board have attacked the credibility of any poll they don't like since 2016.

If you aren't attacking the accuracy of the poll, and you recognize the legitimacy of the results, then my mistake. But your first post was not giving that indication

I have no idea. But again, the right wingers feel they can discredit any poll they don't like because they were wrong once (with that level on inaccuracy being amplified each year out low some kind of fish story).

Polls, from legitimate pollsters, are legitimate. I can't help those that choose to shove their heads in the sand

  • I’ll admit l see the middle east as a rough and tumble place and l get the impression that to survive there you sometimes have to be the bigger asshole. I would wager Israel has been the bigger asshole at times.

I’m sure more invested parties are keeping score. Everyone else does their best to log who killed innocent kids any given day. It’s all super ugly.

I could see how American views on Israel could take a downturn. In an ugly situation people tend to side with whoever they like best, and historically that would be the Israelis. But as America keeps evolving with more and more non-Bible based religion people filling our ranks, sympathies may start to slide the other way.

Now that gem really made  me LOL for real!

    Remember this gem??

    https://www.pbs.org/newshour/world/gaza-death-toll-tops-45000-from-israel-hamas-war-health-officials-say

The Gaza Health Ministry does not distinguish between civilians and combatants in its count, but it has said that more than half of the fatalities are women and children.

Then the truth came out along with the fact the numbers were by the Gaza Health Ministry. You dumbasses ate this shit up though and are still digesting it.

    https://www.foxnews.com/world/hamas-terror-outlet-quietly-cuts-gaza-death-count-reveals-most-killed-were-combat-age-men

Hamas has revised its casualty figures from the Gaza war, removing hundreds of names from its official list of war fatalities, and revealing that 72% of those killed between ages 13 and 55 were males – a demographic largely composed of combatants. The updated figures contradict Hamas' earlier claims that most casualties were women and children.

Posters are on here attacking Palestine daily. Some real awful shit said on here. Shit said in this thread. You can't recognize reality in the world and you can't recognize it on this forum apparently.

Good to know you think the number of civilian casualties in Gaza are now low enough to be justifiable.

And, as always, your recollection of what's been said on here is accurate. Or you just can't read. I'm not sure.

The updated figures contradict Hamas' earlier claims that most casualties were women and children.

Who falls for propaganda? Remind me again, lol. ?

Russia Russia Russia. There's no Hunter laptop. ?

Posters are on here attacking Palestine daily. Some real awful shit said on here. Shit said in this thread. You can't recognize reality in the world and you can't recognize it on this forum apparently.

Good to know you think the number of civilian casualties in Gaza are now low enough to be justifiable.

And, as always, your recollection of what's been said on here is accurate. Or you just can't read. I'm not sure.

liar. I don't believe anyone here has attacked "palestine".

"palestinians" have been seriously criticized, but that is earned by the hateful and violent murdering and raping sombeitches.

If I thought you were really only 12, it wouldn't be making you look like a complete birds butt.

However, you defend gang members, illegals, and you ignore raped American girls, and you ignore Oct. 7th, you don't know history. Seems that you rely on false narratives to get negative attention - for some sick reason. You leave stupid bird droppings on every discussion, woodpecker.

There is no proper evidence of any "genocide" against Israel.

The definition of "genocide" to which most people refer is the "Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide", Article 2 of which requires "intent":
    https://www.ohchr.org/en/instruments-mechanisms/instruments/convention-prevention-and-punishment-crime-genocide

Israel's warnings to civilians to vacate the immediate combat zone are incompatible with the requirement for "intent" and therefore Israel has not, and is not, committing any "genocide".

Whenever Israel is obliged to defend itself, the "genocide" falsehood propaganda always appears, devoid of proper evidence.

As I previously mentioned, the survey linked by contributor "MLD Woody" makes it clear that views on Israel are different between Democrats and Republicans.

'Democrats are much more likely to express unfavorable opinions of Israel than Republicans (69% vs. 37%). In 2022, 53% of Democrats and 27% of Republicans had negative views of Israel. [...]'
